Priests arrested, praying Christians mocked in public by ultra-nationalists and Satanists as standoff continues at holy site

The war in Ukraine involves more than just epic clashes of the Russian and Ukrainian militaries in a proxy war unlike anything since the hottest days of the Cold War.

The hidden war no Western media wants you to see or know about is the one being waged by the Ukrainian government against one of the most ancient Christian communities present in the world today.

The West is using its proxy stooge, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, to wage this war against the Ukrainian Orthodox Church.

Ukraine is already a one-party state under the Zelenskyy regime where all opposition is banned and the government has effectively nationalized the country’s entire media. Now Zelenskyy is demanding that a top cleric of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church be placed under house arrest for at least 60 days.

Ukraine’s equivalent of the KGB, the SBU, notified a top Orthodox priest Saturday that he was suspected of justifying Russia’s aggression, a criminal offense, amid a bitter dispute over a revered Orthodox Christian monastery.

According to Breitbart News, Metropolitan Pavel, the abbot of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra monastery, Ukraine’s most holy Orthodox site, has strongly resisted the government’s order to vacate the complex. Earlier in the week, he cursed Ukrainian President Zelenskyy, telling the Ukrainian leader he was flirting with eternal damnation for the way he is persecuting the Church.

During a court hearing in the Ukrainian capital, he strongly rejected the claim by the Security Service of Ukraine, known as the SBU, that he condoned Russia’s invasion. Pavel described the accusations against him as politically driven, Breitbart reports.

SBU agents raided the abbot’s residence and prosecutors asked the court to put him under house arrest pending the investigation.

The monks in the monastery belong to the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. The dispute surrounding the property, also known as Monastery of the Caves, is part of a wider religious conflict that has unfolded in conjunction with the war.

The godless U.S. State Department has always had a hatred for the Eastern Orthodox Church, whether it be in Russia or Ukraine, because of its conservative values that stand firm against its radical pro-abortion, LGBTQ+ anti-family, anti-God insanity.

The Ukrainian government has cracked down on the Ukrainian Orthodox Church over its historic ties to the Russian Orthodox Church, whose leader, Patriarch Kirill, has supported Russian President Vladimir Putin in the invasion of Ukraine.

This just underscores how closely Russia and Ukraine have been culturally since the beginning, because both countries have a majority of their populations who claim membership in the traditional Orthodox Christian faith.

The Ukrainian Orthodox Church has insisted that it’s loyal to Ukraine and has denounced the Russian invasion from the start, but they cannot denounce their Christian brothers and sisters in the Russian Orthodox Church. The Ukrainian Orthodox Church declared its independence from Moscow, but that’s still not good enough for Zelenskyy, who has ratcheted up the persecution of the church in recent months. And now he’s stooped to arresting priests.

The U.S. is not only using Zelenskyy’s government to deal a black eye to Russia, it is using the war to drive wedges in Ukrainian society itself, lighting a fuse of hatred in the hearts of the more Westernized, secular Ukrainians against the Orthodox.

A standoff at the Lavra Caves

OrthoChristian.com reports that the Orthodox faithful continue to defend their beloved Kiev Lavra Caves monastery against the government’s plan to evict the Church and against the provocations of radical nationalists.

According to OrthoChristian.com:

“The authorities gave the monastic brotherhood until March 29 to leave their home, which has been state-owned since Soviet times. March 29 itself passed quietly, but the next day, the state commission tasked with inspecting the monastery’s ‘museum exhibits’ and preparing for the total transfer of all property back to the usage of the state arrived at the Lavra, and the people’s prayerful standoff began.”

Over the past few days, thousands of people have flocked to the Lavra to pray for the future of their Church and to protect the holy site. At the same time, armed police, journalists, and provocateurs are also flocking to the monastery.

OrthoChristian further reports, “The whole world has now seen how men, women, and children, pray with tears on bended knee while others mock them, attempt to drown them out with nationalistic slogans, and worse.”

On Friday, March 31, one man showed up with a hoodie reading: “Do You Have a Moment To Talk About Our Lord & Savior Satan.”

“In these photos, you can clearly see who their god is — satan. Satanic symbols on clothing, satanic signs. Everything you need to know about who is really at war with Orthodox Christians in Ukraine today,” commented the Ukrainian Orthodox Church’s Information-Education Department.

The radicals tried to provoke confrontations with the faithful, but they continued praying and preventing the ill-intentioned people from entering the Lavra.

One of the provocateur’s complained that nothing was working for them: “We’re talking to them, and they sing in response about some … Jesus.”

The faithful also began to prepare lunches for everyone on the scene, including the police and the nationalist enemies of the Church. However, this didn’t stop the radicals from wishing death upon their fellow Ukrainians for being loyal to the Church.

In one incident, the radicals shouted: “Get out, Moscow priests,” to which the UOC faithful responded by unfurling a Ukrainian flag, which shocked the radicals who have ignored all the statements coming from the Ukrainian Orthodox Church.

On Saturday, OCU supporters held a pagan prayer ritual at the Lavra.

On Sunday, one man began shouting: “Long live satan!” to which the Orthodox replied: “Christ is Risen!” He later spoke to the media about how they had to beat and forcefully remove all the monks and Church representatives from the Lavra.

Marjorie Taylor Greene Stuns CBS News’ Leslie Stahl With Comment About Biden, Democrats

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) shocked CBS News’ Leslie Stahl after making a claim about President Joe Biden and Democrats.

During a “60 Minutes” interview that aired on Sunday, Stahl mentioned a previous claim made by Greene that Democrats are a “party of pedophiles.” 

Greene replied, “I would definitely say so. They support grooming children.”

Stahl responded, “They are not pedophiles. Why would you say that?”

Greene explained, “Democrats support – even Joe Biden, the president himself – supports children being sexualized and having transgender surgeries. Sexualizing children is what pedophiles do to children.”

After a pause, Stahl said, “Wow. OK.”

She then asked Greene, “Can’t you fight for what you believe in without all that name-calling and without the personal attacks?”

The lawmaker said she would “ask the same question to the other side, because all they’ve done is call me names and insult me nonstop since I’ve been here, Lesley. They call me racist. They call me anti-Semitic, which is not true. I’m not calling anyone names. I’m calling out the truth basically.”

After Stahl reminded her of the pedophile claim again, Greene said, “Call it what it is.”

While speaking to Real America’s Voice’s “Prime Time” with Dr. Gina Loudon in 2022, Greene called Democrats of “party of pedophiles and the party of “Princess predators from Disney.”

Despite the back and forth between the lawmaker and CBS News correspondent, Greene appeared to enjoy the interview.

“It was an honor to spend a few days with the legendary icon Leslie Stahl and talented crew [60 Minutes]. Leslie is a trailblazer for women in journalism. And while we may disagree on some issues, I respect her greatly,” Greene tweeted.

ANTIFA ATTACKS: Pro-life Leader Fumes at Virginia University After Violent Antifa Protest – ‘Knew they Could Create Chaos’ (VIDEO)

A speech at a Virginia university erupted into violent protest last week with left-wing protesters refusing to let a prominent anti-abortion group engage in civil discourse, and the pro-life leader who endured it is still angry with the school.

Students for Life of America (SFLA) President Kristan Hawkins and her co-host Isabel Brown were shouted down by protestors during their speech at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) in Richmond, which eventually erupted into a violent altercation. 

Hawkins said she took the podium and told protesters that she would put aside her entire planned speech and take their questions, but they continued to chant over her, shouting “Fascists Go Home,” “Nazis Go Home,” and “F**k Pro-lifers,” according to a live feed of the altercation. 
“I think people need to understand this is a serious threat in our country where we have terrorists who walk onto public campuses, who aren’t even students there, who shut down civil discourse and dialogue,” Hawkins told Fox News Digital. “How can our constitutional republic [and] how can our nation survive if we allow this to happen?”

Hawkins said she wants to be invited back to VCU to ensure the “heckler’s veto” doesn’t win and indicated that the next step for SFLA will be to take legal action.

“What you saw happen at VCU was a dehumanization of just pro-lifers in general,” Hawkins said. “They weren’t even willing to have a discussion [or] have a conversation with me. They just wanted to call me a fascist and a Nazi.”

Campus security and Richmond police stood outside the room, only intervening once the protest turned violent. Hawkins was traveling with private security that eventually had to intervene to protect both her and other pro-life people in the crowd. 

Police asked Hawkins to leave the room in order to quell the scene, but she told police, “you would have to arrest me. I’m not leaving.” 

SFLA claimed to have recognized professional Antifa agitators in the crowd because they have shown up at other events. They said they carried the Antifa flag, along with Black Lives Matter and transgender power signs, which were used to assault those in the crowd who were recording the chaos. Antifa refers to the loosely connected, far-left group known for its black attire and willingenss to use violence and intimidation against its right-wing opponents.

“We’ve never had a situation quite like this where the school was completely absent, that the police weren’t there, which allowed Antifa just to freely walk into the room,” Hawkins said. 

When one of the pro-life audience members started to respond to the protestors, things started to escalate, according to Hawkins. As a series of altercations unfolded, a number of pro-life students and SFLA staff were assaulted. EMTs were called to the scene to treat injuries and several complaints were filed. 

Among those included SFLA’s documentarian, Kevin Feliciano, who was recording the event and filed the complaint after he was blocked and struck with signs to prevent him from doing his job, according to SFLA’s report.  

Autumn Walser, the president of Students for Life at VCU, received an injury to her leg and another fellow student suffered cuts and scratches as a result of protestors clawing at her. SFLA is providing security for Walser “for the near future” until it is deemed safe for her on campus. 

Hawkins told Fox News Digital that its SFLA group at VCU has faced opposition the entire school year and “Antifa characters” have interacted with student members “negatively,” but prior to the event, there was no indication that “Antifa trans activists” and “radical pro aborts” were going to show up at the event. It is unclear which, if any of the protesters who disrupted the event, consider themselves part of the far-left organization.

Students worked hard in preparation for the event, enduring pushback from the school and threats throughout the school year, which she said made it disappointing when they were silenced because a group of people “entered the room and knew they could create chaos and a threatening situation for them to win.”

Hawkins and other pro-life students and leaders were contained in a locked safe room, while the others were allowed to walk off the scene, she told Fox News Digital. 

She said the two protestors who were arrested were not VCU students, but “complete strangers” who were able to walk onto campus, enter the room and disrupt the event.

The disruption did lead to the arrest of two individuals, identified as Natalie Hoskins III, 22, and Anthony Marvin, 30, a VCU spokesperson told Fox News Digital on Thursday. Hoskins was charged with simple assault and Marvin charged with disorderly conduct, according to WRIC. Neither suspect is affiliated with the school.

“I would say probably half of them just from a fair guess, were probably not VCU students at all,” Hawkins said. “At one point there is a man… mini skirt was open to the side, giving me a not great view of his underwear and what was inside of his underwear.”

“These trans women who will never get pregnant and can’t ever get pregnant somehow feel like they’re justified in shouting down biological women when they want to talk about abortion,” she added. “You can’t let that behavior rule the day.”

Hawkins said the only time the protesters silenced anyone on their own side was when one of the protestors started calling her “fat.”

“‘Don’t do that’,” the protestors said, according to Hawkins. “‘Don’t call her fat, call her a Nazi’ …that’s a really interesting state of discourse in our country today.”

Ultimately, once the interaction turned violent, Hawkins and her colleagues agreed to leave the room. She admitted that the protesters got what they wanted, because they were able to silence her, cheering as she was escorted out of the room. 

In the safe room, Hawkins and her colleagues were able to do an impromptu Q&A roundtable with around 15 pro-choice and pro-life students who wanted to have a genuine conversation. 

“They allowed the rest of the protesters just to leave on their own,” she said. “When I was told I was free to leave the campus with no campus escort… the Antifa members were sitting at Chick-Fil-A.”

“It’s clearly the school’s willingness to continue to allow Antifa, trans radicals, other pro-abortion activists to rule the roost and dictate the terms,” she said. “That to me was one of the most frustrating parts of the entire evening.” 

“It emphasizes that we have to continue to forge ahead,” she added. “We have to continue to force conversations to happen even when people don’t want to have those conversations.”

Hawkins said she has received numerous Instagram direct messages from pro-choice individuals who watched the live video of the altercation and explained that while they disagree with her on abortion, they are sorry to see the way she was treated. 

“This is a battle that I’m proud to continue to fight, because this goes far beyond just the violence of abortion,” she said. “This goes about the future of our country.”

Hawkins argued that protestors, like those SFLA encountered at VCU, are actually going to convert more pro-choicers into pro-lifers.  

“People come up, and they scream and shout,” she said. “They don’t really ask questions. They’re not really listening for an answer. They just want to try to trap me in something.”

“They can’t actually engage and have a viable defense for abortion,” she added. “They just want to like scream and shout and call people Nazis and fascists. That speaks volumes to those pro-choice people who are paying attention and trying to figure this issue out.”

Michael Porter, a spokesperson for VCU, told the Richmond Times-Dispatch the university was “disappointed” that the meeting was disrupted.

“VCU is committed to promoting a safe environment for our students, faculty, staff and visitors so that the right to gather and speak freely is protected,” Porter told the outlet. “We must extend dignity and respect to others, especially those with whom we disagree.” source

Brethren, did you read that a police officer asked the leader of ‘Students for Life’ to leave the room so that the chaos could stop? She told him that he would have to arrest her!

Because He lives, the mercy and grace of God has been poured out upon sinners without measure. Jesus Christ died on the cross as the full and final payment for the sin of the world. His blood covers my past, present and future sins; the power of sin has been broken, and the condemnation for my sins has been removed: I will stand before God, clothed in the righteousness of Christ my Lord. 

          Because He lives, I have a tomorrow; beyond all the tomorrows of this life, whether they be many or few, there lies one final tomorrow. That last tomorrow will introduce me to a brand new day that will never end. That everlasting day will hold no clouds; there will be no night; the sun will never set because there will be no sun then. Tomorrow will be no more, for that day will never end.           Because Christ Jesus lives, I have an eternal home, prepared by Him, waiting for me, and all who love Him. Some of Jesus’ last and most precious words are for all who believe in Him.

“Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In my Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.” John 14:1-3

          That eternal home is called New Jerusalem. It will be a home where the dwelling place of God will be with us, and He will dwell with us, and we will be His people and He will be our God. The apostle John, looking upon the city, wrote:

“…I saw no temple in it, for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple. The city had no need of the sun or moon to shine in it, for the glory of God illuminated it. The Lamb is its light.” Revelation 21

          Because He lives the fear of death is gone. The promise of one eternal, glorious day lies ahead for me. All who believe in Him are promised a new, immortal, incorruptible, glorious body. “…We shall all be changed—in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet.” 1 Corinthians 15:51-52

“For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord.” 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17

          Because He lives, Jesus is coming for His bride.
