Well, there is some truth that in radical situations, out of the box solutions are warranted. And yes, the pandemic is a massive issue that required and requires massive governmental involvement in order to save lives. However, the goal must be made crystal clear. The goal is to return to normalcy, not to create a new normal. This is the most important point, and it flies in the face of everything the left has been touting. The left has been pushing for a permanent situation of “learning to live with Covid-19,” meaning, governmental mandates that restrict our freedoms. Why? All in order to save lives. 

It’s time to say it loud and clear. The government mandates ALSO kill people. The restrictions ALSO kill. But perhaps worse than anything else, the top-down management of the medical response also kills people. Accredited Doctors in hospital and clinic situations should be allowed to serve their populations as they see fit without governmental pressure for a one size fits all response. Thousands of people probably would have been saved if the federal medical team would have had less power and simply been a recommending body – not a body that had the power to force specific treatments on the masses. 

Now that there is a grassroots movement of people who are angry at being forced into medical treatments they don’t want, and especially angry at their children being forced also, the left may wake up and realize that they are now starting to lose some of their base. The change is coming. A return to normalcy is closer than the left realizes. The mid-term elections will be the big wake-up call. Virginia’s gubernatorial election was the warning shot. Source
