I believe that the majority of readers of this WordPress are children of God – blood washed and born again.
But I also believe that there may be people who have struggled about Salvation for many years. There are some who could never come to the realization that they could be absolutely secure that they were children of God.
Are you one of these people?
This article may also be for loved ones and friends for whom you have prayed for many years. Pray that if God wants you to send this to those people, that He would speak to your heart about that.
Salvation is a Gift from God
You see, there are many who cannot believe that the GIFT of SALVATION is just that – a Gift to be received. In this life we are taught that we must do certain things, behave certain ways in order to be loved by parents, friends etc etc.
If you are a child of God, then you remember agreeing with God that you are a sinner in dire need of a Savior. You remember when you realized that NOTHING you could do was good enough to get you into heaven.
You remember when you realized that GOD SAVED you “Warts and all” and accepted you into His family because you received His precious gift of Salvation through His Son Jesus Christ.
Evangelism Explosion
When I was a younger woman, our church had a ministry called “Evangelism Explosion.” I joined that and then became a trainer. The goal of this ministry was to teach believers how to share the Gospel. Sometimes it is hard for many believers to tell others about the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
We would gather up the cards which had been filled out by visitors to our church, who expressed that they wanted a visit to learn more about the church. We had teams of 3 or 4 people, and we called the person to schedule a time to visit them.
The ultimate goal of that visit was to find out if the person was “Saved” and if they were not, to share the Wonderful Gospel of Christ with them, and to lead them in prayer to the Throne of Grace.
There was a question we would ask after everyone felt comfortable, and the answer the person/people would give revealed to us their Spiritual state.
THE QUESTION:
“If you were to die tonight (God forbid it) and God would ask you why He should let you into His heaven – how would you answer Him?”
An unsaved person would invariably answer something like this:
“Well, I know that I have done bad things, but I think that the good things I’ve done have outnumbered the bad. I’ve tried very hard to do good.”
As you can see, the emphasis was on themselves and their “Works.” At that point we would tell them that we had the best news they would ever hear. We would proceed to tell them from the Word how they could be saved. We would speak about the need for Repentance (agreeing with God that they are a sinner) and Trusting the finished work of Christ (Death, Burial and Resurrection) as payment in full for their sins. Many people were saved and the angels rejoiced!
We immediately knew those who were brethren after the question was asked. Their responses were all about Jesus and how He made it possible for them to become children of God by the shedding of His blood. They had trusted in Jesus ALONE for their Salvation.
The rest of this article will be God’s Holy Word about Salvation. If you are not sure that you are truly saved for eternity, I encourage you to read God’s Word – over and over if need be – until you understand the TRUTH of His Word about becoming His child for all Eternity.
- All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23).
- The wages of sin is [eternal] death (Romans 6:23).
- The free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord (Romans 6:23b).
- Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead (Romans 10:9).
I have always loved Pastor JD Farag’s ABC’s of Salvation:
THE APOSTLE PAUL TELLS US WHAT THE GOSPEL IS
“Moreover, brethren, I declare to you the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received and in which you stand, by which also you are saved, if you hold fast that word which I preached to you—unless you believed in vain. For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures”
~1 CORINTHIANS 15:1-4

ADMIT THAT YOU’RE A SINNER. This is where godly sorrow leads to genuine repentance for sinning against the righteous God and there is a change of heart, we change our mind and God changes our hearts and regenerates us from the inside out.
BELIEVE IN YOUR HEART THAT JESUS CHRIST DIED FOR YOUR SINS, WAS BURIED, AND THAT GOD RAISED JESUS FROM THE DEAD. This is trusting with all of your heart that Jesus Christ is who he said he was.
CALL UPON THE NAME OF THE LORD. Every single person who ever lived since Adam will bend their knee and confess with their mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord, the Lord of Lords and the King of Kings.
AMEN AND AMEN!

( Luke 24:1-8 KJV ) “Now upon the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they came unto the Sepulchre, bringing the spices which they had prepared, and certain others with them. And they found the Stone Rolled Away from the Sepulchre. And they entered in, and found not the Body of the LORD Jesus-Yeshua. And it came to pass, as they were much perplexed thereabout, behold, two men stood by them in Shining Garments: And as they were afraid, and bowed down their faces to the earth, they said unto them, Why seek ye the living among the dead? HE is not here, but is RISEN: remember how HE Spake unto you when HE was yet in Galilee, Saying, The SON of man must be Delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be Crucified, and the THIRD DAY RISE AGAIN. And they Remembered HIS WORDS,”!! Sing Glory Glory Hallelujah and Maranatha!!

Just imagine, Mary of Magdala (a small village, on the shore of Lake Galilee) was not only the first woman to see and speak to the Resurrected Messiah, but also the very first human being to do so, calling Him “Rabboni,” an affectionate alternative to the more formal “Rabbi” (both meaning “Teacher.”) How come it was her? Why not a disciple or, at least a MALE believer in Yeshua-Ben-Yosef? (after all it WAS a male-dominated culture.)
Jesus Himself said that the one who has sinned the most, once forgiven, then goes on to be the most grateful for that forgiveness. So it was with Mary Madalena, who had been delivered of seven demons by Christ. THEN her gratitude and love for Him knew no bounds!
I SO identify with this awesome principle of God’s Amazing Grace, for surely HE rewarded her boundless Faith in His Son, by CHOOSING her to be the first to visit the “empty tomb.”
Shalom/God bless+++
