In these mortal bodies of flesh, we wait and wonder what the outcome of this election will be. This is certainly not your typical presidential election. I am in no way downplaying the importance of other elections. But this election puts so many of our freedoms at risk – the very fabric of our society is in peril of unraveling, and the First Amendment is hanging by a thread.
But there IS good news! Brethren, for us – those whom are blood bought, born again believers, there is good news no matter who wins this election or who takes the Senate, the House or both.
Our Lord Jesus, who died on the Cross to pay for our sins, sits at the right hand of our Father in heaven, and He prays for us without ceasing. Our future is to be with Jesus for eternity. I cannot think of anything more glorious than that.
Our enemies are merely puppets being used by THE ENEMY who hates God, Christians and Jews. I know that we have read this passage of Scripture so many times, but we need to read it again and again – slowly, so as to take in what our Lord is telling us:
“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
“Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
“Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
“And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
“Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
“And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God” (Ephesians 6:12-17).
So, brothers and sisters in Christ, take a deep breath and remember that Jesus Christ is our Advocate – even before our Father when Satan accuses us of every sinful thought and deed; and after hearing theses events of our lives which should surely have condemned us before our Father; Jesus simply says “Yes, this person did indeed think and do all of which he is being accused…….BUT I paid the price for ALL of his sins with My blood.”
And Jesus will tell the man “Enter into My rest.”
I want to see President Trump prevail in this election. He has done more for those of us who hold a Biblical World view than any other president I can remember. Perhaps many of our forefathers were much like President Trump.
But if by cheating, the other side does prevail, we must trust that God has allowed this to further fulfill His Prophetic Word.
I love all of you. Let us all pray corporately in this trying time. But mostly, let us all understand that we trust the outcome because God allowed it.
MARANATHA!
I think the past several years have ALL been stepping stones to our Lord and Savior coming back for His children. He allows all of what happens in these elections, as you said, “to fulfill His prophecy.” I believe that. If Biden wins I pray the Lord comes quickly so we do not have to live under communist rule – and that is what it will be! Until He does come for us we will have to hang onto Him for dear life……..and sanity. He’s in control and may His will be done. But I sure hope He wants Trump to win. 🙂
Well said, sister Sue

Daniel 2:20-22 “Daniel answered and said, Blessed be the name of God for ever and ever: for wisdom and might are His: And He changeth the times and the seasons: He removeth kings, and setteth up kings: He giveth wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to them that know understanding: He revealeth the deep and secret things: He knoweth what is in the darkness, and the light dwelleth with Him.”
Right, God is in control, but this truth; “When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beare rule, the people mourn.” will always be. As “if the foundations (of our Constitution) be destroyed, what can the righteous do?” We will just have to press in closer to him, that’s what we, the righteous can, and must do!
Proverbs 29:2, Psalm 11:3.
And is just maybe what our Creator wants for us.
