Doctrines of Demons, Itching Ears and End Times Deception

Originally written over three years ago, I felt compelled to bring this article out once again.  The deception and heretical movements of these end times are so far from the truth of the Word of God; it makes a person wonder how the followers can be so deceived and gullible. 

But wonder as we may, Jesus did warn about the coming deception:

“For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect” (Matthew 24:24).

Since I wrote this piece, many false movements have grown exponentially.  There is the Social Justice false gospel. These deluded souls believe only the parts of Scripture which speak of the love and mercy of God.  They never talk or teach about sin and redemption. This is not Salvation through Christ.

Then there is the NAR (New Apostolic Reformation) false movement. These heretics believe that God has appointed new Apostles and new Prophets. Both of these OT offices were closed when the Canon of Scripture was complete.  

There is the gift of prophecy, but that is when a person can clearly relay the Word of God along with prophecies which have been fulfilled and those which are yet to be fulfilled.  But these people are not equal to God’s Prophets of old.

The NAR false gospel in Israel

There are many young Messianic congregations which have sprung up in Israel in the past few decades.  Asher Intrater and Dan Juster are from TIKKUN ministries, whom are steeped in NAR theology, are confusing new believers in Israel. 

You may know NAR as “Kingdom Now”  or “Dominism” and by other names as well.  The premise of their false beliefs is that Jesus will not return until every government and system  on earth is controlled by believers in Christ. This is found no where in the Word of God.

NAR is the fastest growing false theology on earth today. These false teachers are also leading their followers back to Rome!

Here is the original article from 2017:

” For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables” (2 Timothy 4:3-4).

As I look around today, I see this passage of Scripture so clearly coming to pass. Perhaps there have always been many with itching ears, but I think that it is much worse in these last days. Are these people truly saved? How can they be so deceived? Did they attempt to come to God via the well traveled road and very wide gate that God warns us to avoid? How can someone who has the Holy Spirit living within them want their ears to be tickled with heresies? Where is the discernment?

It makes no sense.

When I was drawn by the Lord in 1983, it was a powerful and supernatural event. I had searched for the truth about God for most of my life. On that unforgettable night, He opened my eyes and my heart, and I remember saying to the person sharing salvation with me, “This is it. It’s so clear to me now!”

I am not saying that we all have to have a dramatic two feet off the floor experience. But I do believe that it should be a memorable time when a person finally realizes that he/she is a wretched sinner – unable to save themselves and that God is HOLY and HE does the saving.

Our Need for the Word of God

Another thing I remember is that I could not get enough of His Word. I would forget to eat food because I was immersed in His Word, and could hardly break away from it. I was told to start with the Gospel of John and I did. Then I went through all four gospels. His Holy Word became the most important thing in my life.

I knew that when I went to church, I should be hearing about sin and repentance. It was ALL about Jesus and Him crucified, and the love that sent Him to that cross. I yearned to hear a preacher open up the Word to me in a deeper way. The couple who had led me to the Lord were charismatic, so I went to my first church with them.

Where Was Preaching About Sin and Repentance?

I was brand new in Christ, but I still knew that the sermons I was hearing were leaving me empty. One Sunday night I saw Charles Stanley preaching on TV, and I considered him a gift from Jesus at that time of my walk with Him. When he preached, he backed everything up with Scripture. He spoke of sin and repenting and growing in Christ. I considered him to be my pastor in those early years.

The heretical pastors with mega churches need itching ears to stay in business. I call it a business because that is what it is. When I see Joel Osteen and his lovely wife (she is pretty) standing up in front of 30,000 fans, telling them that God just wants them to be happy happy, happy -it makes me sad and it makes me sick.

WHERE does it say in God’s Word that He just wants us to be happy? But the tithes are paid and the ears tickled and everyone seems satisfied. But my Bible says that we will also have tribulation in this life  (John 16:33).

The Word of Faith preachers love the itching ears. They preach that if their members will give sacrificially, that God will surely pour out financial blessings upon them – two and three fold. So the little old lady who is on Medicare gives Kenneth Copeland her last twenty dollars, and goes without food for a week – but she is still waiting for that magical payment from heaven. It makes me want to SCREAM!

Are these people saved but extremely shallow and immature? Or is it possible that they never were saved in the first place? I can’t make that call, but it distresses me greatly to watch people who name the name of Jesus as their Savior, following after false teachers who preach a different gospel.

I do know that the false teachers will be judged harshly.

James 3:1 clearly states it:

“My brethren, be not many masters, knowing that we shall receive the greater condemnation.”

Steven Ben DeNoon

It is shocking to me when I meet Christians who follow this man, Steven Ben Denoon  AKA Steven Ben Nun AKA Steven Nun……there are many other aliases for this man.  He preaches what he calls a “Humane Gospel” and in it he declares to his followers that they are never to eat animals or even fish.  He speaks of the “Gospel of the Holy Twelve.”   He also teaches his followers Hebrew Roots.  This man is a menace to the Word of God and to the Body of Christ!

“Again, God gave humanity permission to eat meat after the flood (Genesis 9:3). In the Old Testament law, the nation of Israel was commanded not to eat certain foods (Leviticus 11:1-47), but there was never a command against eating meat. Jesus declared all foods, including all kinds of meat, to be clean (Mark 7:19). As with anything, each Christian should pray for guidance as to what God would have him/her eat. Whatever we decide to eat is acceptable to God as long as we thank Him for providing it (1 Thessalonians 5:18). “So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God” (1 Corinthians 10:31).”

When I was reading about Steven DeNoon’s  life, he spoke of many people who are against him. He provided his email address and asked that anyone who wants to publish statements questioning his teaching, to please email him first.  I did exactly that. I wrote to him and told him that I am a writer and that I wanted to speak with him about his teachings.  He never responded.

When I speak truth about false teachers to their followers, I am attacked and accused of judging. We will go in circles about this, but it always comes back to being told that I am a judgmental and mean-spirited person. I always show them the Scriptures which clearly condemn the heresies, but they will not look at God’s Word; or if they do look, they take it completely out of context. Sometimes I feel like ignoring these types, but then I remember that the Lord wants us to always speak truth.

If you have repented and trusted Jesus for the forgiveness of your sins, but you are following false teachers – PLEASE go the Word of God and compare that which you are being told against the inerrant and perfect Word of God.

Be a Berean:

“And the brethren immediately sent away Paul and Silas by night unto Berea: who coming thither went into the synagogue of the Jews. These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so” (Acts 17:10-11).

I pray that many eyes will be opened to the truth of the Word of God, and that they will see that they are being taught heresies.

POLICEMAN By Paul Harvey (Tribute to our Police Officers)

A sister in Christ sent this gem from Paul Harvey to me today. As usual, his words spoke volumes. He never shouted. He never used crude language. Paul Harvey was given a gift from our Lord. He was a master Wordsmith and speaker. 

He had the gift of speaking truth in a calm – “let us reason together” tone.  I believe that even in this world turned upside-down, if Mr. Harvey were still alive today, he would speak truths in the same manner; calmly, but with much conviction.

He is greatly missed.

Paul Harvey (1918-2009) was a radio broadcaster for the ABC Radio Networks. He gave the "Policeman" speech on talk radio nearly 40 years ago and it is known as one of his best speeches....Mr. Harvey's father inspired this speech....He was a police officer who was shot and killed while doing what police officers do every day. The text to the speech is included in the video.

I felt it appropriate to write this piece around Paul Harvey’s brilliant speech.  Are there officers who should not be in the Police force – of course; and those should be dealt with and removed. 

But as Paul Harvey said, the percentage of “bad officers” is less than even clergymen.  But again, those within that percentage have no right wearing the police uniform and carrying a gun.  

What the media has done is to take the bad apples and present them as the norm. This is not true, but should we be surprised hearing this from the Left?  Rhetorical question.

I salute every hard-working, compassionate and caring police officer. We should be praying for these men and women who daily place their lives in jeopardy to protect the lives of others. 

Father, please protect our police force. Help those in positions of authority to spot the officers who should not be in the force, and weed them out according to their misdeeds. Help Americans to see that we must pray and stand up for the greater percentage of decent and courageous officers in our country. I ask this in the name of Jesus. Amen.

The Hour Is Late – Are You Truly Saved?

A couple of decades ago, our church brought in a teaching by D. James Kennedy called “Evangelism Explosion.” I signed up to learn this style of evangelism and then became a trainer.

We went out in teams, only visiting those who had come to our church; and filled out a card expressing the desire for a visit.  We called ahead of time, to find out when they wanted us to come over.

Once we arrived at the home, we attempted to make the time an enjoyable one. We asked questions about them, like had they lived in the area long – that sort of thing. 

After getting to know the people and hopefully letting them know about us, there came a time when we asked a question, and the answer we received would usually allow us to see the spiritual condition of the person/people.

The question was this:

If you were to die tonight (God forbid it) and you stood in front of God, and He was to ask you why He should let you into His heaven – what would you say?

We heard this answer quite a bit:  “Well, I have done more good things than bad.  I try to go to church as much as possible. I give what I can to poor people…… Every sentence began with “I” and these people were obviously not familiar with true Salvation.

One of the team would tell the person that we had the best news that they would ever hear!  We told them that Salvation was a free gift to whomever would repent (agree with God that they were a sinner) and believe in what Jesus did for them on the Cross, and that He rose again from the dead. 

We explained to them that no matter how much “good” they thought they had done, how much was enough? We read them Scriptures from the Roman Road to Salvation to help them to see that what we were telling them was right from the Word of God:

Of course, if the person we were visiting immediately said “It’s because of what Jesus did for me. I have repented of my sinful life and I trust in Christ and what He did on the Cross for me” then we would all rejoice in the knowledge that this person was truly saved.

Here is a list of those Scriptures in case you would like to write them down:

  • Romans 3:23.  “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God”

  • Romans 5:8.  “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us”

  • Romans 6:23. “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord”

  • Romans 10:9-10. “that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.  For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation”

  • Romans 10:3. “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved”

There are many discussions about the need for a person to understand that saying the prayer of Salvation does not mean that one can return to a sinful life, and be able to say “I said the prayer – so I’m fine.”

This becomes very controversial and often a debate ensues about legalism and Works based faith.  

I believe that this is why our Lord Jesus told us the parable of the Sower and the Seeds:

“Listen! Behold, a sower went out to sow. And it happened, as he sowed, that some seed fell by the wayside; and the birds of the air came and devoured it. Some fell on stony ground, where it did not have much earth; and immediately it sprang up because it had no depth of earth.  But when the sun was up it was scorched, and because it had no root it withered away. And some seed fell among thorns; and the thorns grew up and choked it, and it yielded no crop.  But other seed fell on good ground and yielded a crop that sprang up, increased and produced: some thirtyfold, some sixty, and some a hundred.”

 “And He said to them, “He who has ears to hear, let him hear!” (Mark 4:3-9).

Prayer and discipleship

This is the reason why we must pray for and, if possible, disciple those whom we’ve led to Christ. We pray that the seed fell on fertile soil. We help the baby Christian to learn to crawl and then to walk and even run in the ways of Christ!

Don’t be discouraged

When I was in college, two separate groups of Christians shared Christ with me. Both times I said “I am a Jew and I don’t think that this is for me.”

But in 1983, there was a tragedy in our family and another Christian couple who had showed us such kindness and compassion, shared Christ with me. My eyes were opened and my heart was pounding! God had opened my eyes to His truth and I believed it and WANTED it!

I think about those other people who must have been so disappointed that I said no.  They won’t know until we are in heaven that they planted seeds in me…..

This Scripture tells the story so clearly:

“I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase” (1 Corinthians 3:6).

I do hope that this article has helped someone – maybe to understand that they have not been trusting in the Lord for their Salvation. And perhaps someone needed some encouragement in evangelizing the lost.

Time truly is very short.  I look around and this world does not even resemble the world in which I grew up.

Washington Times African American Author: “There IS Systematic Racism in America – It’s called the DEMOCRATIC PARTY”

Being brought up in a Jewish family, I know full well about the expectations of political affiliations within the family. Jews are expected to vote for the Democratic Party – no questions asked.

After I was born-again in 1983, my politics soon changed and I could no longer vote for the Dems.  I could not reconcile their platforms with what I was reading in the Word of God.  I suddenly realized how wicked abortion really was, and I also saw that most of the Dems hated any talk about God or His Word.

Throughout the years, I have watched with much sadness,  the black community in the U.S. being duped over and over again by a party which strives to keep blacks down with a Welfare program which does not offer a way to ever realize the America dream.

Families being on welfare becomes a generational trap. And the Democrats know this and love it. They know that the Black families who receive welfare are more apt to cast their votes for them. They even give incentive for the family unit to not have a father in place. If there is no father, the mother receives more money in their welfare check.

Brethren – can you see how destructive this is?  The children in these families need a father.  But the Democrats turn a blind eye to this evil.  All they care about is securing the votes of the black community.

Well, things are changing.

Of course there is systemic racism in America and it’s in the Democratic Party

These past couple of weeks have been some of the saddest I’ve seen in my lifetime as an African-American. It began with the tragic, needless, death of George Floyd, but then quickly escalated into some of the most vicious, violent rioting our country has seen in decades.

The Democratic Party, true to form, never lets a crisis go to waste. It has seized on what should be a time of healing and instead made the conversation more divisive by lecturing us all about how systemic racism is supposedly rampant in the United States. The great irony here is that yes, there’s plenty of systemic racism in our country; it’s all wrapped up in the history of the Democratic Party.

The rot goes deep, back to the post-Civil War era. Former slaves and their children were forced for decades to endure the cruel, wretched Jim Crow laws that kept them from advancing in the South. And who was all too happy to keep those laws in place? The Democrats.

The Republican Party had planks in its party platforms addressing the rights of African-Americans in the early 20th century. The Democrats, meanwhile, used the KKK as their stormtroopers, lynching and terrorizing blacks in the South beginning just after the Civil War and continued this practice for a century.

As early as 1888, the Republican platform included a plank affirming the “sovereign right of every lawful citizen, rich or poor, native or foreign born, white or black, to cast one free ballot in public elections, and to have that ballot duly counted.”

In 1892, the Republican platform specifically condemned the “inhuman outrages perpetrated upon American citizens for political reasons in certain Southern States of the Union.” The Democrats, those paragons of virtue, refused to include anti-lynching planks or planks addressing racial rights in their platform for all of the early 20th century. 

This was the era of Woodrow Wilson, a Democratic president who modern Democrats like to conveniently forget re-segregated different federal government agencies during his presidency. There was also a little racist movie called “Birth of a Nation.” Wilson loved it so much he thought it would be a great idea to screen it at the White House and viewed the film multiple times.

A few years later, Wilson’s fellow Democrat and President Franklin Roosevelt was forward-thinking and progressive enough to express his distaste for Asian immigrants, and said that immigrants in general had brought “congestion and racial prejudices to our large cities.” He would later deny entry into the U.S. to Jews who fled from Nazi-controlled Europe during Hitler’s purges. Years earlier, while on the Harvard Board of Overseers, Roosevelt helped impose a limit on the number of Jewish students allowed admittance to the university.

And of course, Roosevelt forced some 175,000 Japanese-Americans into camps throughout the desert Southwest during World War II, trampling all over their constitutional rights just because they looked different. 

One of Roosevelt’s staunchest supporters was U.S. Supreme Court Justice Hugo Black, who was nominated to the high court in 1937 by Roosevelt. FDR’s pal Justice Black was also, for what it’s worth, a member of the Ku Klux Klan.

During the 1950s and the beginning of the Civil Rights era, Virginia Democratic Sen. Harry Byrd was so vehemently against the landmark Brown v. Board of Education decision that he took the time to write a “Southern Manifesto” that opposed desegregation in American schools. 

The latter half of the 20th century brought plenty more of its share of racist Democratic politicians.

Lyndon Johnson, who now is lauded as a hero for passing the Civil Rights Act, was fond of using the N-word behind closed doors and even changed his pronunciation based on regional dialect. Prior to 1964, Johnson was a stalwart against civil rights legislation in Congress and was a leader in the massive Southern Resistance movement of Southern states that opposed integration in the 1950s.

Jimmy Carter, who loved falsely branding anyone who disagreed with him a racist, such as Ronald Reagan, supported legislation in the Georgia State Senate that would have eviscerated the Civil Rights Act in the early 1960s as well as housing rights. And in 1976, Mr. Carter stayed with the Plains Baptist Church even as it voted against allowing blacks to join.

Even in the modern era, when we’re all supposed to be above such evilness, Democrats are still stuck in their old ways. Nothing has changed for the Democratic Party.

Gov. Ralph Northam, Virginia Democrat, wore blackface while in grad school in the 1980s. Or it might have been a KKK hood. We’re still not sure which. Virginia Attorney General Mark Herring, a Democrat, also has a racist past. Why aren’t they being protested? Just this week, the congressional Democratic leadership committed the worst kind of faux pas by posing in traditional Kente cloth in an attempt to out-woke the virtue signaling rioters in our streets. Black leaders were not impressed.

Systemic racism is indeed a vile problem, one that must be addressed immediately. When Democrats stop pointing fingers and look in the mirror, we can begin the conversation about where the systemic racism truly lies. source

I cannot express the joy I felt after reading The Washington Times article.  I am a huge fan of Candace Owens.  She is slammed in the black community as a traitor, and called an “Uncle Tom” just because she speaks Truth about the Democratic Racist party.

I am sure that Mr. Aubrey Shine (the author of the Washington Times’ piece) is vilified the same way as Candace Owens.

Brethren, the Left is absolutely out of their minds as they see the number of blacks climbing in support of President Trump and the Republican Party as a whole.  I read this morning that black support of Trump is up to 41%!

Why do you think that Soros has organized and funded the thugs in the streets of America; even to the point of hijacking a part of Seattle and turning it into a no-go war zone?  He is scared out of his mind.

And, of course, we have the rabid globalists drooling over what they are witnessing happening to our country. They want one thing: the Destruction of America.

We should be praying harder than ever for America and for President Trump.  As his numbers begin to rise (and they will), the globalist powers that be will implement a Plan B.  I’m not sure what that will look like, but these people are like cornered wild animals. They do not care about lost lives. 

The most important thing is that we as Christians need to understand that it’s God’s will that we must pray for and expect. HE is in control.

But as long as we have breath left in our bodies, we should speak out against evil – against anarchy – against God haters.

And that is exactly what the Democratic Party is – GOD HATERS. I do not call them atheists because they booed Him at their conventions. And they removed God’s name from the Democratic National Committee platform.  

Therefore they must believe that He is there but they HATE Him.

Unless they repent, they will one day stand before the Great White Throne of Judgment before they are cast into the lake of fire.
