Originally written over three years ago, I felt compelled to bring this article out once again. The deception and heretical movements of these end times are so far from the truth of the Word of God; it makes a person wonder how the followers can be so deceived and gullible.
But wonder as we may, Jesus did warn about the coming deception:
“For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect” (Matthew 24:24).
Since I wrote this piece, many false movements have grown exponentially. There is the Social Justice false gospel. These deluded souls believe only the parts of Scripture which speak of the love and mercy of God. They never talk or teach about sin and redemption. This is not Salvation through Christ.
Then there is the NAR (New Apostolic Reformation) false movement. These heretics believe that God has appointed new Apostles and new Prophets. Both of these OT offices were closed when the Canon of Scripture was complete.
There is the gift of prophecy, but that is when a person can clearly relay the Word of God along with prophecies which have been fulfilled and those which are yet to be fulfilled. But these people are not equal to God’s Prophets of old.
The NAR false gospel in Israel
There are many young Messianic congregations which have sprung up in Israel in the past few decades. Asher Intrater and Dan Juster are from TIKKUN ministries, whom are steeped in NAR theology, are confusing new believers in Israel.
You may know NAR as “Kingdom Now” or “Dominism” and by other names as well. The premise of their false beliefs is that Jesus will not return until every government and system on earth is controlled by believers in Christ. This is found no where in the Word of God.
NAR is the fastest growing false theology on earth today. These false teachers are also leading their followers back to Rome!
Here is the original article from 2017:
” For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables” (2 Timothy 4:3-4).
As I look around today, I see this passage of Scripture so clearly coming to pass. Perhaps there have always been many with itching ears, but I think that it is much worse in these last days. Are these people truly saved? How can they be so deceived? Did they attempt to come to God via the well traveled road and very wide gate that God warns us to avoid? How can someone who has the Holy Spirit living within them want their ears to be tickled with heresies? Where is the discernment?
It makes no sense.
When I was drawn by the Lord in 1983, it was a powerful and supernatural event. I had searched for the truth about God for most of my life. On that unforgettable night, He opened my eyes and my heart, and I remember saying to the person sharing salvation with me, “This is it. It’s so clear to me now!”
I am not saying that we all have to have a dramatic two feet off the floor experience. But I do believe that it should be a memorable time when a person finally realizes that he/she is a wretched sinner – unable to save themselves and that God is HOLY and HE does the saving.
Our Need for the Word of God
Another thing I remember is that I could not get enough of His Word. I would forget to eat food because I was immersed in His Word, and could hardly break away from it. I was told to start with the Gospel of John and I did. Then I went through all four gospels. His Holy Word became the most important thing in my life.
I knew that when I went to church, I should be hearing about sin and repentance. It was ALL about Jesus and Him crucified, and the love that sent Him to that cross. I yearned to hear a preacher open up the Word to me in a deeper way. The couple who had led me to the Lord were charismatic, so I went to my first church with them.
Where Was Preaching About Sin and Repentance?
I was brand new in Christ, but I still knew that the sermons I was hearing were leaving me empty. One Sunday night I saw Charles Stanley preaching on TV, and I considered him a gift from Jesus at that time of my walk with Him. When he preached, he backed everything up with Scripture. He spoke of sin and repenting and growing in Christ. I considered him to be my pastor in those early years.
Wolves in the Pulpit
The heretical pastors with mega churches need itching ears to stay in business. I call it a business because that is what it is. When I see Joel Osteen and his lovely wife (she is pretty) standing up in front of 30,000 fans, telling them that God just wants them to be happy happy, happy -it makes me sad and it makes me sick.
WHERE does it say in God’s Word that He just wants us to be happy? But the tithes are paid and the ears tickled and everyone seems satisfied. But my Bible says that we will also have tribulation in this life (John 16:33).
The Word of Faith preachers love the itching ears. They preach that if their members will give sacrificially, that God will surely pour out financial blessings upon them – two and three fold. So the little old lady who is on Medicare gives Kenneth Copeland her last twenty dollars, and goes without food for a week – but she is still waiting for that magical payment from heaven. It makes me want to SCREAM!
Are these people saved but extremely shallow and immature? Or is it possible that they never were saved in the first place? I can’t make that call, but it distresses me greatly to watch people who name the name of Jesus as their Savior, following after false teachers who preach a different gospel.
I do know that the false teachers will be judged harshly.
James 3:1 clearly states it:
“My brethren, be not many masters, knowing that we shall receive the greater condemnation.”
Steven Ben DeNoon
It is shocking to me when I meet Christians who follow this man, Steven Ben Denoon AKA Steven Ben Nun AKA Steven Nun……there are many other aliases for this man. He preaches what he calls a “Humane Gospel” and in it he declares to his followers that they are never to eat animals or even fish. He speaks of the “Gospel of the Holy Twelve.” He also teaches his followers Hebrew Roots. This man is a menace to the Word of God and to the Body of Christ!
From gotquestions.org
“Again, God gave humanity permission to eat meat after the flood (Genesis 9:3). In the Old Testament law, the nation of Israel was commanded not to eat certain foods (Leviticus 11:1-47), but there was never a command against eating meat. Jesus declared all foods, including all kinds of meat, to be clean (Mark 7:19). As with anything, each Christian should pray for guidance as to what God would have him/her eat. Whatever we decide to eat is acceptable to God as long as we thank Him for providing it (1 Thessalonians 5:18). “So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God” (1 Corinthians 10:31).”
When I was reading about Steven DeNoon’s life, he spoke of many people who are against him. He provided his email address and asked that anyone who wants to publish statements questioning his teaching, to please email him first. I did exactly that. I wrote to him and told him that I am a writer and that I wanted to speak with him about his teachings. He never responded.
This video shows that DeNoon claims that our Bible is false:
When I speak truth about false teachers to their followers, I am attacked and accused of judging. We will go in circles about this, but it always comes back to being told that I am a judgmental and mean-spirited person. I always show them the Scriptures which clearly condemn the heresies, but they will not look at God’s Word; or if they do look, they take it completely out of context. Sometimes I feel like ignoring these types, but then I remember that the Lord wants us to always speak truth.
If you have repented and trusted Jesus for the forgiveness of your sins, but you are following false teachers – PLEASE go the Word of God and compare that which you are being told against the inerrant and perfect Word of God.
Be a Berean:
“And the brethren immediately sent away Paul and Silas by night unto Berea: who coming thither went into the synagogue of the Jews. These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so” (Acts 17:10-11).
I pray that many eyes will be opened to the truth of the Word of God, and that they will see that they are being taught heresies.
WAKE UP!
Shalom b’Yeshua
MARANATHA!
Since Paul taught that sin is not imputed by God for those who are not under the law. And since Jesus came the law has been abolished so that the Jew and Gentile can now be made “one new man” when they trust in Jesus. What sin is imputed that men need to repent from when they come to faith in Jesus?
Answer:
The only sin that Jesus said He sent the Holy Spirit to reprove the world of. “They believe not on me”. John16:9.
So any message that says men are held accountable by God for the bad things they have done, or even worse the bad things someone else has done, so that they need to admit and confess those sins to have eternal life, is a counterfeit. Because the ministry of reconciliation that Paul said all ambassadors for Christ are to preach to the world is that God was in Christ while Jesus was on the cross “not imputing their trespasses to them”.
So that all that is needed for salvation is to believe in the Jesus of the Bible who came in the same flesh all men have(heb.2:14 and 1John4:1-3) so that He could join with men in their death. So that by His resurrection He could conquer death so that we could join with Him in His life by faith in Jesus’ death and resurrection(Rom.10:9,10). The naughty/nice Santa Claus religion of Rome has no place in the true church. But, only in the religions that only want their itching ears to be soothed.
Even so… Maranatha!!
Uhhh…. “Do not think that I came to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I did not come to abolish but to fulfill. Matthew 5:17
The message of the bible and the Gospel says just that…
They have all turned aside, They have together become corrupt; There is none who does good; no, not one (Psalm 14:3)
The LORD has looked down from heaven upon the sons of men To see if there are any who understand, Who seek after God.
They have all turned aside, together they have become corrupt; There is no one who does good, not even one. Psalm 14:2-3
The wicked are estranged from the womb; These who speak lies go astray from birth. Psalm 58:3
For as through the one man’s disobedience the many were made sinners, even so through the obedience of the One the many will be made righteous. Romans 5:19
For all of us have become like one who is unclean, And all our righteous deeds are like a filthy garment; And all of us wither like a leaf, And our iniquities, like the wind, take us away. Isaiah 64:6
and He Himself is the propitiation for our sins; and not for ours only, but also for those of the whole world. 1 John 2:2
Therefore, just as through one man sin entered into the world, and death through sin, and so death spread to all men, because all sinned— Romans 5:12
These guys here believe in Jesus…
“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.
Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’
And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’
Matthew 7:21-23
Key word “Lawlessness”
I’m by no means advocating Works + Faith.
For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; Ephesians 2:8. But I will suggest to you that faith brings about works
Therefore by their fruits you will know them.
Matthew 7:20
Brother you really ought to use exegesis when interpreting scripture. That is letting the Bible tell you what it means. Your entire view of scripture (From what I have gathered over months of your comments) is totally eisegetical. Using eisegesis to is convenient to push just about every heresy under the sun, such as Pelagianism.
Brother, I at one time used an eisegetical approach to scripture interpreting. It ALWAYS leads to a theological train-wreck..
Take a good hard look at scripture using exegetical methods and you’ll be surprised how fast the “House of Cards” (in this case Pelagianism) will fold.
Brian,
True, Jesus did fulfill the law. And because He did it has passed just as He said it would in Mt.5:18. Paul knew this and taught accordingly that the law was abolished in Eph.2:15. He also said in Col.2 that it was nailed to the cross with Jesus. Which is why Heb.10:9 says it was “taken away” so that the New Covenant could be established.
Your reference to Ps.14 ignores the context. Your interpretation of it is iesegetical. This passage is not saying that every man has gone astray. But, only those who by their free will have rejected God. It is showing a contrast between the righteous and the wicked. Just as Jer.17 does when it says the heart is deceitfully wicked. It is only the heart of those who reject God that is deceitfully wicked. Not the heart of the righteous. Jeremiah says the righteous man is blessed because he trusts in the Lord. And that “he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.”
Rom.5:12 is followed with Paul saying that where there is no law sin is not imputed. And vs.14 shows that Pal is referring to all who lived from the time of Adam until Moses as a time when sin was not imputed. Which is why Paul says in Acts17:30 that at the time of this ignorance God winked at sin. To believe that anyone is under law after Jesus returned to the Father is to reject Paul’s gospel. For he taught that we are under grace, not law. Which is why he taught that the ministry of reconciliation believers are to take to the world is that God is not imputing their trespasses to them in 2Cor.5:19.
It is specifically because I have taken an exegetical approach to reading the scriptures that I have been set free from the naughty/nice Santa Claus religion of sin nature and original sin that was introduced to the rcc and Protestantism through the Gnostic teachings of Augustine. The “doctor of theology” for the rcc who is the harlot of Rev.17,18. I pray you will too.
Even so… Maranatha!!
Ed, I must say this: First of all, I agree with Brian’s apologetics. He is accurate and rightly divides the Word of Truth. I believe that at this point, Ed, you need to go back to the basics. You need to wipe the slate clean of your errant beliefs. I do not know who bewitched you, but nonetheless, you have been bewitched. Start by studying the Scriptures which are used in the Roman Road to Salvation. I will be praying for you that God will help you to repent of these false beliefs and if you have indoctrinated those close to you with this UnBiblical stubble, then you need to go to them and make it right. I can’t imagine how many people have been persuaded by you and and turned away from the very Word of God. I am not saying these things from an unloving spirit – quite the opposite. Brian rightly divides the Word of Truth – listen to him.
It is specifically because I have gone back to square one, after as a new believer having first been indoctrinated with the lies of Augustinianism that the Roman Catholic harlot and her daughters teach, that I have come to understand and believe the plain language of the Bible. And the God who inspired it’s writing. Plain language that says of the sin of Adam and those who came after him, and before Moses, is not imputed because there was no law. Making any belief that death is a punishment for Adam’s sin a rejection of Paul’s gospel.
This deception that so many who claim to be Christian are under is that which causes men to deny the doctrine of Christ as John said in 2John1:7-11. Because any belief that men are born sinners by nature through inheritance because of Adam’s original sin is a denial that Jesus came in the same flesh all men have as Heb.2:14 plainly teaches that He did. And to deny that is a rejection Christ Himself and the gospel message that saves us.
The Roman Road as it is related by those who believe in the sin nature and original sin doctrines is a perversion of Paul’s gospel. This is why they have become anathema just as Paul said. So any repentance needing to be done is one that I have already done that turns those who have been deceived into believing the harlot from her false christ to trust in the true and living God. I pray that all who have been deceived by her will come to a saving faith before it’s too late. As John wrote- “Come out of her my people that ye be not partakers in her sins and plagues”.
God’s love is unconditional. And when you come to know His love you will wonder how it was that you were ever deceived to believe these false teachings. Opposing yourself and taken captive by the devil at his will.

Even so… Maranatha!!
Thank you, Brian. Amen amen & AMEN to all you have said.
WHoah, hold the phone…It says the EXACT opposite. Unless heaven and earth passed away and I slept through it?
“For truly I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest letter or stroke shall pass from the Law until all is accomplished. Matthew 5:18
Eph 2:15 Lets go there.
by abolishing in His flesh the enmity, which is the Law of commandments contained in ordinances, so that in Himself He might make the two into one new man, thus establishing peace, Ephesians 2:15
Jesus as an atonement has abolished the law as a means of salvation. So Indeed for our sake as believers the law has no teeth. As Paul called it a ministry of death. By no means do I advocate keep the law as means to salvation.
Saying that, those who die without knowing (not just believing in) Jesus are judged according to the law. The great white throne is where the books are opened and the greatest to the weakest are judged according to their deeds. Basically if you are before the great white throne, you’re toast.
When I die and go before the Almighty he will see His Son in me. Not broken, sinner ugly Brian who I’ll add deserves HELL more than most on this globe. It is His keeping the law and imputing His Righteousness to me, that I am saved. So yes the Law is abolished to only one type of person. One that is “In Christ” However until the Eternal State, the Law shall remain as Christ said in Matt 5:18
OK Lets go there…
Psalm in the entirety of context:
The fool says in his heart, “There is no God.” They are corrupt, they do abominable deeds, there is none who does good.
The LORD looks down from heaven on the children of man, to see if there are any who understand, who seek after God.
They have all turned aside; together they have become corrupt; there is none who does good, not even one.
Have they no knowledge, all the evildoers who eat up my people as they eat bread and do not call upon the LORD?
There they are in great terror, for God is with the generation of the righteous.
You would shame the plans of the poor, but the LORD is his refuge.
Oh, that salvation for Israel would come out of Zion! When the LORD restores the fortunes of his people, let Jacob rejoice, let Israel be glad.
Psalm 14:1-7
True the Indictment starts with those who do not believe. When David gets to When God looks Down From Heaven, He then states…They have all turned aside; together they have become corrupt; there is none who does good, not even one. That in Hebrew implies; All, Everyone. NOT EVEN ONE, Implies NONE in Humanity. I suggest you get a Lexicon such a TWOT or equivalent. Also use some morphology when constructing the Hebrew thought. You can not apply English logic to Hebrew. Strong’s is a great tool for root words but by no means a lexicon.
Then you will see that this means just what it states NONE at all.
I can not get any more exegetical that that. The entire context of the indictment is against all flesh. Granted it starts with the fool but then continues to everyone. That’s how the Hebrew flows.
Again, Augustine did not invent the concept of original sin. God did when He instructed Moshe to write it down in Genesis. It is replete through out the entire canon of scripture.
Shalom.
Brian
Brian,
There are 2 stipulations given by Jesus in Mt.5 for the law’s passing away. 1. That heaven and earth would pass. And 2. That all would be fulfilled. Either of which being fulfilled then causing the law to pass away. Do you believe Jesus accomplished what He said He came to do? I do. This means that the law has passed because all has been fulfilled that He came to fulfill.
Paul teaches that those who have sinned without the law will be judged apart from it. And only those who sinned in the law are judged by it. Rom.2:12. And who are they who are without the law? Paul tells us exactly who these are in vs.14 when he writes “For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves”.
If men are justified by Jesus’ law keeping as you have said then all men are justified(righteous) by the works of the law. But, Paul said in Gal.2:16 that no flesh shall be justified by the works of the law. He said instead that “we are justified by the faith of Christ and not by the works of the law”. Our justification is that we have believed in Him just as Jesus believed in the Father. Works have nothing to do with justification. The fact that you believe they do shows that you do not know the grace of God. Because grace and works, no matter who you say does them, can not mix for justification. Otherwise grace is no more grace. Rom.11:6.
The context in Ps.14 is the fool who says there is no God. And remains the context throughout this passage in reference to those who have gone astray. Unless you believe that those who believe God have also gone astray by believing in Him? Therefore the “all the children of men” in this passage is a reference to those who say there is no God. Not those who have believed in Him. Showing the contrast between the wicked and the righteous just as I said. Proving still that what you have called exegesis is really just more eisegesis.
While original sin is plainly revealed in the Genesis account. The doctrine of original sin that is taught by all the cults today was codified to the rcc and protestantism by Augustine and his disciples. The difference being that the Bible says plainly in Rom.5:12-14 that Adam’s sin was not imputed to him or anyone else. While the doctrine of original sin, a false doctrine of the harlot roman religion, says that it is because it was imputed to Adam and all mankind that all men die. The complete opposite of what Paul’s gospel teaches.
Even so… Maranatha!!
Excellent. I watched him a while but saw too much ungodly Prophecy.
I loved your article. This is so true!! When I was saved at 17 my eyes were opened and I knew that I belonged to God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. We are seeing God’s prophecy of the end time churches becoming more and more relevant. Here in Redding, California we have a big church that I went to for awhile, Bethel, which is full of false teachings. When I’d leave a “sermon” I’d feel empty. I started to question everything that church was doing. There is no discernment at that church. Makes me sad for everyone who goes there. Some have been delivered from Bethel, and are spreading the news through word of mouth and YouTube. I can go on and on but I won’t. I wanted to let you know how much I liked your article. Maranatha Your sister in Christ Jesus. Dolwen
