When I created my Word Press site a few years ago, the Lord impressed upon my heart that the front page – the page where readers would land if they came to my site – should be about Salvation.  What is more important than showing a lost person how to be saved?

Is that not why we believers are still here?  I think that it is.

Last words of our Lord

 ^“Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:  Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen”  (Matthew 28:19-20).

Biting and devouring 

The timing of the Rapture has taken precedence over sharing the Gospel with others. This article is in no way meant to debate Rapture timing. It is about our priorities in the Lord. It is about our hearts.

I wonder about the millions of Christians who have been martyred for Christ throughout the ages.  They were persecuted before they were killed.  I doubt that they fought with other believers over when Jesus would come in the clouds and rapture them.  I believe that these people wondered when they would be slaughtered, and they prayed that they would be strong and not deny their Lord before they were killed.

This is not something that American Christians have had to consider – NOT YET.

Persecuted Christians have more faith

I remember when I was a baby Christian in the 1980’s, and I would read about Christians who had to go underground to secretly worship Jesus. Of course, these believers were from other countries where Christianity was not tolerated by their governments.

The thing that struck me more than anything was that these persecuted Christians were praying for the Christians in America. Why?  Because they knew that with all of the distractions, and that many American believers were wealthy (comparatively speaking) that we needed to be lifted up in prayer to the Lord Jesus. They prayed that our faith would be strengthened.

We should want to be more like Jesus

I understand that we are to watch for the signs of His coming, but I believe that if Jesus were to sit among us right now, that He would focus on His teachings. Remember He said this:

“A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another” (John 13:34-35).

Read the response from our Lord when asked which Commandment was greatest:

 ^“Master, which is the great commandment in the law?  Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.  On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets”   (Matthew 22:36-40).

Jesus spoke of our hearts and our love for others

The Sermon on the Mount:

“And seeing the multitudes, he went up into a mountain: and when he was set, his disciples came unto him:

 And he opened his mouth, and taught them, saying,

 Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

 Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.

 Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.

 Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.

 Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.

 Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.

 Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.

 Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness’ sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.

 Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you”    (Matthew 5: 1-12).

Calling out False Teachers

This is necessary and right for believers to mark and avoid those who preach a different gospel.  To some this may seem unloving, but in reality it is one of the most loving things a Christian can do for others.

 ^“Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them. For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple”  (Romans 16:17-18).

We must expose these false teachers/preachers. It is the loving thing to do – especially for baby Christians who are most vulnerable to the lies and deception of the evil one.

The fighting and bickering over the Rapture timing is wood, hay and stubble

Millions have gone and will go to hell – not because they didn’t understand  the timing of the Rapture, but because no one told them to Repent and Trust the finished work of Christ on the Cross – the payment in full for their sins- and that Jesus conquered death and hell when he rose to life three days later.

No one told them that Jesus loves them, and wants to reconcile them to His Father in heaven.

Is there someone in your life whom you want so desperately to know the Lord?  That burning in your heart to share the Good News of the Gospel comes directly from God.  That is His priority.

 ^“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.  For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved”  (John 3:16-17).

Some may be upset with me and may say that I am downplaying Bible prophecy and our need to be watching.  That is not at all what I’m attempting to say in this article.

I believe that we need to get our priorities in order.  Saving lost souls is what sent the Lord Jesus to the Cross.  His love for us caused Him to die that excruciating death on the Cross because He knew that He would rise again; and He knew that this was the only way to have our sin debt paid.

Nothing needs to happen before the Rapture of the Church

This is clear in Bible prophecy.  He can come at any time. Isn’t it better to be ready at every moment, and be looking for Him daily to come and get us? When I lay my head on my pillow each night, I think to myself that He could come during the night and we would be with Him in heaven!  But as I lay there, all the people I know who are unsaved will be heavy on my heart and I will pray for them to know Him.

Sisi, Trump, and the Politics of Designating the Muslim Brotherhood

The group uses violent means when necessary to advance its Islamist agenda.

Hopes that the Trump administration will designate the Muslim Brotherhood as a terrorist organization have hit rough waters, with anonymous officials citing concerns about diplomatic blowback and frayed relationships with Muslims at home and abroad. The leaks come on the eve of a historic visit to Washington by Egyptian president Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, a key Arab ally and devoted Muslim who is locked in a life-or-death struggle with the Brotherhood.

The irony is hard to miss, particularly given that Egypt and several other Arab countries have already designated the Brotherhood a terrorist organization.

Whatever the truth behind the leaks, they underscore that the inside-the-Beltway conventional wisdom — that the Brotherhood is “moderate” and so popular that designation would be seen as “a declaration of war against . . . Islam itself” — will not die as easily as many hoped.

This thinking is rooted in a failure to understand the difference between Islamists — a sizable but distinct minority of Muslims who adhere to a totalitarian religious ideology — and the moderate majority of Muslims, who are our friends and allies. President el-Sisi, who has publicly called out extremism to clerics in Egypt, understands this. After all, Egypt is not the only state in which the Brotherhood engaged in attempts to kill its way to power. It did the same in Syria in the early 1980s.

Despite the Brotherhood’s long history of bloodshed, claims that it is “moderate,” or opposes violence, are still prominent. While above-ground Brotherhood organizations use peaceful means when effective, they are “prepared to countenance violence . . . where gradualism is ineffective,” as a 2015 report by the British government noted with significant understatement.

Claims that designation will complicate U.S. relationships with certain Arab allies are overblown. While it is true that some allies, such as Jordan, have Muslim Brotherhood–affiliated parties represented in their parliaments, this is easy enough to finesse. Members of Hezbollah, a U.S.-designated terrorist organization, have long served in Lebanon’s parliament, but American diplomats manage to avoid contact with them and still do business with the Lebanese.

Moreover, failure to designate the Brotherhood complicates some alliances. The Egyptian public has grown deeply suspicious of the U.S. government precisely because under Obama the U.S. came to be seen as overly sympathetic to the Brotherhood. When Senator Ted Cruz introduced the Muslim Brotherhood Terror Designation Act, many Egyptians saw it as a sign the U.S. may be waking from its long slumber. A tweet introducing the bill was the subject of a segment by popular Egyptian talk-show host Amr Adib and was retweeted 17,000+ times.

Domestically, in the wake of Trump’s admittedly troubling comments suggesting a “Muslim ban” during his presidential campaign last year, some fear that designation will fuel anti-Muslim bigotry and pave the way for “a legal assault on the institutions of American Muslim life.” After all, several organizations claiming to represent U.S. Muslims, particularly the Council on American–Islamic Relations (CAIR), have deep Muslim Brotherhood ties.

But groups such as CAIR are hardly “institutions of American Muslim life” — they’re just pretending to be. A 2011 Gallup poll found support for CAIR among U.S. Muslims to be just under 12 percent. Britain’s inquiry into the Brotherhood found that its activists in the U.K. “appear to be unable to generate any grassroots support.”

Frankly, however, if public support for CAIR were higher, that would be all the more reason to be concerned. Notwithstanding its carefully crafted public image, CAIR was named an unindicted co-conspirator in the 2007–09 Holy Land Foundation terror-finance case, and was blacklisted by the FBI as a result. Unfortunately, the Obama administration failed to aggressively continue an FBI investigation into CAIR after it conspired to fund terrorist-designated organization Hamas, the Palestinian wing of the Muslim Brotherhood. Indeed, the United Arab Emirates has declared CAIR itself a terrorist organization.

Trump’s rhetorical excesses cannot be understood without recalling the Obama administration’s refusal to name the problem. Using euphemisms such as “violent extremism” and feigning puzzlement as to the motives of obvious jihadists made the administration’s rhetoric concerning terrorism a national joke. In both the U.S. and Europe, when elites insist that voters must believe them, rather than their own “lying eyes,” the voters turn sharply in the opposite direction. The cure for Trump’s rhetorical excesses is increased security, not denial.

Trump laid out a number of smart proposals on radical Islam during his campaign. His administration should now use President el-Sisi’s visit to move forward with these ideas. In particular, it should follow up designation of the Brotherhood with the formation of a congressionally authorized commission on radical Islam tasked with developing a strategy for winning the war against Islamic extremists and explaining the threat of Islamism to the American people. Both are badly needed. Wrongheaded conventional wisdom won’t keep Americans, or our Muslim allies, safe. – source

So you see brethren, the fingerprints of Satan are all over the struggle against Radical Islamic Terrorism.  The MSM are led by the evil one (whether they know it or not) and they continue to present Muslims as “victims.”  With each horrific attack in various countries, the ‘victim’ mantra seems to get louder from the Left.

This is all being used by God to fulfill Bible prophecy. We must remember this when we get discouraged.  God IS in control. He causes certain events and allows others. He knows all of history from beginning to the end.

Please remember that when the Leftist media accuse Conservatives of being “Islamophobes” – they are simply doing the bidding of their master. He is the father of lies…..the author of confusion…..and the accuser of the brethren both day and night:

“And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night” (Revelation 12:10).

Isn’t it always about the money?

In the case of Palestinian terrorists, money and hatred of Israelis are the incentives which keep the terror going – especially in Jerusalem. Did you know that the U.S. government sends money (our taxes) to the PA?  What do you think they use to pay those who wreak havoc and death in Israel?  I have a strong feeling that all funds sent to the PA from the U.S. are put into a “Terrorist” fund.   Sick but true.

Israel not only had a right to place metal detectors on the Temple Mount, but it is a responsibility for them to do this. Isn’t it blatantly apparent to the rest of the world that the PA is resisting these metal detectors because it will impede the killing? This speaks volumes about the world’s support of the killing of Israelis.

Three Israelis murdered in Samaria stabbing attack

Three Israelis were murdered on Friday evening in a stabbing a stabbing attack in the Shomron (Samaria) community of Halamish, located to the north of Ramallah.

A terrorist broke into a home in the community as the residents were in the middle of their Shabbat dinner, stabbing four people. Two men, one in his 40s and one in his 60s, and a woman in her 40s, suffered critical injuries and were later pronounced dead.

A 60-year-old woman suffered moderate-to-serious injuries in the attack and was evacuated by Magen David Adom paramedics to the Shaare Zedek Hospital in Jerusalem.

The terrorist, identified as 19-year-old Omar al-Abed from the nearby Palestinian Arab village of Kaubar, was shot by a neighbor, suffering serious injuries.

IDF troops are conducting searches in and around the community and checking whether other terrorists were involved.

Magen David Adom paramedic Ehud Amiton, who was at the scene, said, “When we entered the house, we saw four people with stab wounds. Three of the wounded were unconscious, without a pulse and not breathing. We gave them medical treatment that included dressing the wounds and stopping the bleeding, and carried out advanced and prolonged resuscitation operations.”

“Another 60-year-old woman who was conscious and suffered from stab wounds to her upper body was treated at the scene and evacuated to the Shaare Zedek Hospital in moderate-to-serious condition,” he added. – source

Omar al-Abed, a 19-year-old from the Palestinian Arab village of Kaubar, was identified as the terrorist who broke into a home in Halamish, murdering three people and wounding a fourth moderately-to-seriously. He was shot by a neighbor and seriously wounded.

It was revealed after the attack that al-Abed identified with Hamas and had been arrested several times by the Palestinian security forces.

Some two hours before the attack, al-Abed published a post on Facebook in which he said he decided to carry it out because of the “harm” done do the Al-Aqsa Mosque.

“I am 20 years old and I have many dreams and I believe they will come true,” the terrorist wrote. “I love life and I love to make others happy, but there is no life after what you see in the Al-Aqsa Mosque and the murder of women and young people.”

The attack took place hours after clashes between Israeli security forces and Arab rioters in Jerusalem and nearby towns and cities, in which several Palestinian Arabs were reportedly killed. – source

Why in the world would the Israeli government sign a document of “Peace” with these crazed terrorists?  I have pondered this today, and wondered how the “man of sin” the Antichrist will get Israel to sign that 7 year peace agreement.  There has to be much more to this then we see in the Word of God.  SOMETHING must happen to bring Israel and the PA to the table. Something HUGE.

For now all we can do is to pray for the peace of Jerusalem. Pray for the souls of the Israeli people, that many would come to know Yeshua as Savior before the Great Tribulation.

And pray for the Palestinian people, who are so deceived by the evil one – the Lord would have us pray for them as well.
