I graduated high school in 1969.  That was a tough time.  Seems that most of us were trying to discover ourselves.  There were protests to the Vietnam war and against the “Establishment.”  I had friends who went to all of the protests. When I asked them what it was all about, they usually gave me the deer in the headlights look.  But they all just really liked protesting.

I remember walking on campus at the University of Maryland and seeing the SDS (Students for a Democratic Society) burning the American flag and using expletives to “Stick it to the man.”  I passed them by.  I just didn’t have that kind of anger in me.

Dressing like a hippie

Although I wasn’t much of a rebel, I did like dressing like a hippie chick.  Long hair with beads – usually barefoot – peasant blouses and long skirts. Yep, that was me –  a hippie chick, and I liked it.  Did I smoke pot?  Sure did.  Did I like it?  Not so much. It made me feel rather paranoid, and that’s not much fun.

All students of Saul Alinsky; well at least from his book “Rules for Radicals” these rebels were perpetually rebellious. I think that perhaps their brains did not finish developing.  They brought their anti-establishment ways into adulthood. And others like them did the same.  The ultra liberal professors on our college campuses never left the “Hippie” movement.

Scary to think that our country has been led by a hippie for the last eight years.  And he’s not gone yet.

I may be wrong, but I believe that the protests back when I was a teenager were, for the most part, spontaneous.  I believe that most of the people in those protests truly believed that they were right, and that they might change things for the better.

Today’s protests are contrived – these are actors playing a part for a price.  George Soros is more than happy to pay dearly for protestors/rioters. I’ve read that he has paid some of the best, most rowdy ones up to $3000 per night.  I also read that most of these paid protestors never voted and most were not even registered to vote. Figures.

Soros was no hippie but a Nazi collaborator

I’ve written much on this evil man.  He turned on his own Jewish people during WWII. He helped to round them up for the Nazis to get them on the trains headed for the death camps. He also helped confiscate their wealth to give to the Nazis. This man was no hippie – he was and is a monster.

But Soros uses hippie types to do his bidding. He fires them up with his communist groups like moveon.org and ACORN – when it was fully functional.  Even hippies have to eat, and since most of them nowadays live with their parents and do not work, the money from Soros helps out a lot; especially if they’ve run out of pot or cocaine. Okay – I guess that was uncalled for.

Hippies who just wanted ‘peace and love’ now want the destruction of Israel

You might have noticed that students on campuses across the U.S. have turned on Israel with their BDS rallies – another Soros funded movement. BDS stands for Boycott Divestment Sanctions. It’s a way to economically hurt Israel.  Soros  just can’t stop hurting the Jewish people, of which he is descended. I think that he may have been switched at birth in the hospital. There has to be some explanation for his demonic behavior towards his own people.

Donald Trump is no hippie

So, the Lord has blessed us with an “adult” in the White House for at least the next four years. Most of us are very grateful for this. We’ll have a president who cares about the people and we Christians have a reprieve from persecution.

We need to make the most of this time. We need to share the Gospel so that many will be saved.  I read today that Obama says he will still be running the country, but just not from the White House.  I think that the cocaine and pot seriously damaged his brain.

Obama:  Don’t go away mad. Just go away……….FAR AWAY.

I’m so glad that my brain continued to develop, but mostly I am glad that the Lord Jesus Christ saved me.

For that I am eternally grateful!

Last week I wrote an article on the Chief Orthodox Rabbi of Jerusalem, Shlomo Amar. He called members of the LGBT  “A cult of abomination” and now the backlash is growing.  They are calling for him to resign.

Rabbi Amar was quoting from the Torah. Just as with many Christian mainline denominations,  many Jews in Israel and worldwide care not for what the Bible says. There is no absolute truth with these people. Everything is relative.  Rabbi Amar was simply doing his job as Chief Rabbi. He told the people that homosexuality is an abomination to God.  Now he is being punished for telling the truth.

Sounds much like the prophets of old, doesn’t it?

Leftists, LGBT activists target Jerusalem Chief Rabbi

Yerushalmim faction, LGBT activists plan protests outside offices of Rabbi Shlomo Amar, following his statements on gays, Reform Jews.

Leftists, LGBT activists, and members of the Reform movement are planning to demonstrate against Jerusalem Chief Rabbi Shlomo Amar on Sunday in response to his recent comments on Reform Jews and homosexuals.

Organizers have called upon Rabbi Amar to resign his position, saying that his comments disqualify him from serving as a public figure. The event will be held opposite the offices of the Jerusalem Chief Rabbi.

On Thursday, Rabbi Amar, who previously served as Chief Sephardic Rabbi of Israel gave an interview to Israel Hayom, discussing a wide range of subjects and touching upon the relationship of religion and state.

During the interview, Rabbi Amar slammed the Reform movement as “wicked”, and invoked the biblical condemnation of homosexual acts as an “abomination”.

Sunday’s rally against the Jerusalem Chief Rabbi is being organized by the Yerushalmim faction of the city council, a movement founded by Kulanu MK Rachel Azaria.

The lesbian organization Bat Kol has also signed onto the event, as has the Labor Party’s student division in the Hebrew University, and members of the Reform movement.

Yerushalmim member and city councilman Aharon Leibovich slammed Rabbi Amar and called on Jerusalem residents to attend the demonstration.

“When Rabbi Amar, who is supposed to be a spiritual beacon, instead works to spread darkness and division – when the Chief Rabbi of Jerusalem permits himself in the name of the Torah to so explicitly attack sectors of the population, we need to rise up and declare: Enough.

“We need to remember and to remind that ‘The ways [of the Torah] are the ways of pleasantness’ – the way of the Torah is acceptance and inclusion, not hatred and division. The time has come to put an end to incitement in the name of the Torah, and enough to going on the offensive and then hiding behind the mantle [of religion].

“I call upon everyone in society who cares about Jerusalem and pluralism to join the demonstration and the call which must be clearly understood: Rabbi Amar you must resign.” – source

When I saw this quote, it reminded me of  Scripture:

“We need to remember and to remind that ‘The ways [of the Torah] are the ways of pleasantness’ – the way of the Torah is acceptance and inclusion, not hatred and division.”   (emphasis added)

“There is a way that seems right to a man,
But its end is the way of death”  (Proverbs 14:12).

The ‘inclusion and unity’ mantra is heard wherever leftists gather. It no longer matters to these people what God Himself has to say about sin.  There is no more sin to the leftist thinkers.  Everything is fine – just live your life as you see fit and we will all be happy.  Pure RUBBISH.

God’s Word is GOD’S WORD

Most of the left do not believe that the Bible is truly God’s own words.  They see it as outdated and non relevant to our lives today.  I would venture to say that most of these people do not even believe there is a God.

I pray that Rabbi Shlomo Amar does not budge from what he has said. I pray that God will give him the boldness to defend the Word of God and not fear man.

It will be interesting to watch this story as it develops.

• The shooting occurred at the Hamilton Mall in South Jersey as people lined up outside for shopping deals
• In Nevada on Thursday, a person was shot dead in a road rage incident in a Walmart parking lot in Reno
• A man in Tennessee suffered a gunshot wound after shots were fired at a mall in Memphis on Thursday
• On Friday, stores opened their doors for what is still one of the busiest days of the year
• The first Black Friday sales got underway at some stores across the country on Thursday night
• Department store J.C Penney was one of the first major chains to kick-off the sales offering huge discounts on Thursday

Two people were shot dead and two others were injured in three separate incidents in New Jersey, Nevada and Tennessee as Black Friday kicked off.

A man was fatally shot and his brother was wounded in a shooting outside of a Macy’s in New Jersey on Friday morning while another was shot dead in an apparent road rage incident in a Walmart parking lot in Nevada on Thursday.

A fourth person suffered a gunshot wound on Thursday at a mall in Tennessee as shoppers were taking part in early Black Friday sales.

Amid Black Friday madness, cellphone footage from various stores showed shoppers fighting over items in a bid to score shopping deals.

In video apparently recorded inside a Walmart in Bainbridge, Georgia, showed shoppers fighting over towels that were on sale for $1.60 during the Black Friday rush on Thursday.

At one point, one woman so eager to get her hands on towels that she fell into the box.

Meanwhile, shoppers at a Walmart in Houston broke into an all-out melee on Black Friday, as customers battled it out for some $99 kiddie convertibles. source 

I think that perhaps Black Friday is a perfect picture of the sinfulness of men and women.  Greed, lust, murder and envy are just a few of the sins of the heart which rear their ugly heads the day after Thanksgiving. Think about the irony here. “Thanksgiving” – being thankful for our families and for life itself.   And then pushing and shoving and cursing and beating and even shooting others; the day after “Thanksgiving!?”

“Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God” (Galatians 5:19-21).  (emphasis added)

The only good news out of all of this horrific violence and mistreatment of others, is that we are all born into sin. We ALL miss the mark of God’s righteousness.  Some may sin more than others, but the point is this:  None of us are righteous in the eyes of God.  But out of His compassion and his yearning for people to be reconciled to Him, He sent His only Son, Jesus to pay for our sins.  Jesus paid with His life.

If you have not been born again from above; if you have not repented and trusted the Lord Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, then you are LOST in your sins. That means if you were to die in your sins – you will be in hell for eternity.
