‘Evangelical Christian’ Has Lost Its Meaning

willow-creek-community-church

As I read the news about this election, I have been troubled with news reports using the terms “Evangelical Christians.”  I think that the use of these terms pleases satan very much for various reasons.  The main reason is that he wants unsaved people to believe that they are right with God.

From Christianpost.com

Nearly four in 10 Republican voters who identify themselves as “born again” or “evangelical” don’t believe the Bible is the literal Word of God.

Pew Research published an analysis last week on the evangelical vote in the 2016 election season, using data accrued from the 20014 Religious Landscape Study.

According to the 2014 data, 39 percent of self-identified evangelical voters
in the Republican Party do not believe the Bible is literal Word of God.

The analysis was based off of the question many political observers had regarding the strong support Republican frontrunner Donald Trump purportedly has among people who identify as evangelical Christians.

“[S]ome religious leaders, political analysts and researchers have questioned whether many of these self-described evangelicals actually are evangelical Christians,” noted Pew. -source

These people identify themselves as “Born Again” and “Evangelical” Christians, but do not believe the Word of God is literal?  I hate to be this blunt, but I feel that I must.  If a person does not believe that God’s Word is to be taken literally, then they are LOST.

Have these faux Christians read this passage of Scripture?

“All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work” (2 Timothy 3: 16-17). (Emphasis mine)

Or this?

“[Is] not my word like as a fire? saith the LORD; and like a hammer [that] breaketh the rock in pieces?”  (Jeremiah 23:29)

How about this?

“But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God” (Matthew 4:4)

Do they know that the Word of God became flesh and walked upon this earth?

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.  In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not”  (John 1: 1-5)

Jesus is the Word Made Flesh

Everything which has been created in the heavens and the earth was created by Jesus. Jesus is the part of our Triune Godhead Who “spoke” Creation into existence.

Christians MUST believe that the Word of God is literal or they are certainly lost.  Are some “playing church?”  Only God knows how many come to church on Sundays, but do not really believe His Words.

For a very long time, the press has been categorizing all people who attend Protestant church as Evangelicals.  I believe that this is satanically inspired.  People want to feel that they are “right” with God – but on their terms – not God’s.

These people go through the motions. Many are on committees at church. Some even teach Sunday School.  But in their hearts, they are as lost as a self professed atheist.

God says in His Word:

But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him” (Hebrews 11:6).

Should we believe every story in His Word?

I have met a few people who call themselves Christians, who insist that the stories, such as Jonah and the whale……and the parting of the Red Sea…..and others are just fables and are merely meant to be taken allegorically.   This is an abomination to our God.  Where is their faith?

If God could create the Universe, why do these people think that the other stories in our Bible are just too impossible to believe? They lack faith, and without faith it is impossible to please God.

Do you believe the Bible is completely true?

Perhaps you grew up in a Christian family and you continued to attend church. Perhaps you are very active in your church.  And perhaps you are one of the people who really do not believe that the Word of God is completely true.

Without the faith that God is looking for in us, we do not belong to Him. It’s time that you repented of this unbelief, and got on your knees before our Holy God and prayed to Him to forgive you. HE does the saving. This has nothing to do with “works.”

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:  Not of works, lest any man should boast” (Ephesians 2:8-9). (Emphasis mine)

I prefer to be called a “Bible Believing Christian.”

I am a follower of Jesus Christ and I believe every Word in the Bible is from Him. I believe every Word, every book…….the WHOLE Bible!

Some in my neighborhood call me a Jesus freak. They think it’s a derogatory label to give me.  I actually love it when a person feels to call me that!

Brethren, do you know anyone who is deluded, and believes that they are right with God, but are certainly lost?  Pray for opportunities to share truth with them. Pray for them that they will feel that something isn’t right, and will seek out God and truly be saved!

Temple of Baal Coming To Times Square: Satan is Marking His Territory

Baal

Just months ago, the Hindu Demon Goddess “Kali” was projected on the Empire State Building in NYC.  Here is a piece I wrote about that:

The Calculated Decision to Place the Hindu Demon “Kali” on the Empire State Building

It seemed that New Yorkers felt that this was a natural thing to do. There was no outrage or even a questioning of this event.  In Christian circles we were alarmed that such an evil demonic Hindu goddess would be displayed for all of NYC to admire.

Baal

First, let’s see who “Baal” is from the Bible.

From gotquestions.org

Question: “Who was Baal?”

Answer: Baal was the name of the supreme god worshiped in ancient Canaan and Phoenicia. The practice of Baal worship infiltrated Jewish religious life during the time of the Judges (Judges 3:7), became widespread in Israel during the reign of Ahab (1 Kings 16:31-33) and also affected Judah (2 Chronicles 28:1-2). The word baal means “lord”; the plural is baalim. In general, Baal was a fertility god who was believed to enable the earth to produce crops and people to produce children. Different regions worshiped Baal in different ways, and Baal proved to be a highly adaptable god. Various locales emphasized one or another of his attributes and developed special “denominations” of Baalism. Baal of Peor (Numbers 25:3) and Baal-Berith (Judges 8:33) are two examples of such localized deities.

According to Canaanite mythology, Baal was the son of El, the chief god, and Asherah, the goddess of the sea. Baal was considered the most powerful of all gods, eclipsing El, who was seen as rather weak and ineffective. In various battles Baal defeated Yamm, the god of the sea, and Mot, the god of death and the underworld. Baal’s sisters/consorts were Ashtoreth, a fertility goddess associated with the stars, and Anath, a goddess of love and war. The Canaanites worshiped Baal as the sun god and as the storm god—he is usually depicted holding a lightning bolt—who defeated enemies and produced crops. They also worshiped him as a fertility god who provided children. Baal worship was rooted in sensuality and involved ritualistic prostitution in the temples. At times, appeasing Baal required human sacrifice, usually the firstborn of the one making the sacrifice (Jeremiah 19:5). The priests of Baal appealed to their god in rites of wild abandon which included loud, ecstatic cries and self-inflicted injury (1 Kings 18:28).

Before the Hebrews entered the Promised Land, the Lord God warned against worshiping Canaan’s gods (Deuteronomy 6:14-15), but Israel turned to idolatry anyway. During the reign of Ahab and Jezebel, at the height of Baal worship in Israel, God directly confronted the paganism through His prophet Elijah. First, God showed that He, not Baal, controlled the rain by sending a drought lasting three-and-one-half years (1 Kings 17:1). Then Elijah called for a showdown on Mt. Carmel to prove once and for all who the true God was. All day long, 450 prophets of Baal called on their god to send fire from heaven—surely an easy task for a god associated with lightning bolts—but “there was no response, no one answered, no one paid attention” (1 Kings 18:29). After Baal’s prophets gave up, Elijah prayed a simple prayer, and God answered immediately with fire from heaven. The evidence was overwhelming, and the people “fell prostrate and cried, ‘The LORD–he is God! The LORD–he is God!’” (verse 39).

In Matthew 12:27, Jesus calls Satan “Beelzebub,” linking the devil to Baal-Zebub, a Philistine deity (2 Kings 1:2). The Baalim of the Old Testament were nothing more than demons masquerading as gods, and all idolatry is ultimately devil-worship (1 Corinthians 10:20). – source

ISIS destroyed the Temple of Baal in August of 2015. This structure was situated in Palmyra, Syria.  The secular world seemed to mourn the loss of this so-called temple.  Next month, unknown sources will be funding the building of a replica of the Temple of Baal in Times Square.

Just the fact that those funding this are staying in the shadows, shows clearly the sheer evil of this endeavor.  Will New Yorkers complain?  That is doubtful. It seems that evil is very much accepted by the general public.

From the New York Times:

“BEIRUT, Lebanon — After a day of conflicting reports about the extent of damage that Islamic State militants had inflicted on the Temple of Baal in the ancient city of Palmyra, Syria, a United Nations agency said late Monday that satellite images confirmed that the structure had been largely destroyed.

The primary temple building, nearly 2,000 years old, was flattened, according to the satellite images, taken Monday and released by the United Nations training and research agency Unitar, based in Geneva.

“We can confirm destruction of the main building of the Temple of Bel as well as a row of columns in its immediate vicinity,” the agency said in a statement sent to members of the news media, using a different transliteration for the temple.

As local activists and antiquities experts scrambled Monday to assess what had happened, all agreed that an explosion at the site on Sunday had damaged the best-preserved structure of the temple, a stone building that included the altar. Some experts had clung to optimism by saying the extent of the harm to the ruins was unclear, while residents and activists said reports had indicated severe damage.

It will be uncanny and thrilling to see this arch from an ancient desert civilization set against the bright lights of New York. Unfortunately, facsimiles can achieve only so much. Denuded of people, stripped of the rich social contexts in which they were once embedded, antiquities appear just as evidence of the grandeur of the past, the accomplishments of another place in another time. But what did these assemblages of stone mean to the modern Iraqis and Syrians who lived with them?” -source  (Emphasis mine)

It is clear as you read the excerpt from the NY Times, that it brought great mourning and sadness that this evil temple was destroyed.  The war between good and evil is not blurred any longer.  It is blatant and there is no gray area. Can you see the excitement in the NY Time’s piece when they speak about this structure coming to Times Square?

This is absolutely demonic.

There are also plans to build a replica of the temple in London. Now sources are saying that there are plans to place these demonic temples in over 1000 cities across the globe.

Satan and his demons are on the move. He knows that time is short. I believe that we will see evil as we have never seen it before in the coming months. I also believe that the true Church in America will realize that we are not immune from persecution – not verbal persecution – I am speaking of possible jailing and even worse. We must pray that God keep us grounded in Him, and help us to not be deceived.

“Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived. But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them; And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus” (2 Timothy 3:12-15).

Keep your eyes on the Lord, and know that He is always in control.

State Department Ignores that Slaughtered Christians in Pakistan Were Celebrating the Resurrection of Jesus Christ

Easter slaughter 3

The liberal press and State Department turned a blind eye to the slaughter of over 60 Christians, celebrating the resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Josh Earnest, spokesperson for the Whitehouse spoke briefly about the attack, and quickly made it known that “Some Muslims were killed too.”

Taliban Slaughter 70, Injure Hundreds in Pakistan EASTER Bombing Targeting Christians, Obama Admin Laments Victims Who Were Muslims

The Blaze: White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest said at a press briefing Monday that the administration “condemns” the Easter suicide bombing that devastated Lahore, Pakistan, killing dozens at a children’s park

Earnest calling the attack “grotesque,” noting that the assailants were “targeting religious minorities and children.”

An initial statement released by the State Department on Sunday noticeably neglected to mention the fact that Christians were specifically targeted in the attack for which the Pakistani Taliban later claimed responsibility.

Though Earnest did acknowledge that Christians celebrating Easter were the intended targets of the bombing, he stressed that “the majority of the victims were actually Muslims.”

He then proceeded to discuss the larger effort to combat terrorism in general. Earnest asserted that counterterrorism is a worldwide effort and that “peace-loving people of all faiths” need to come together to combat extremism “around the globe.”

National security, Earnest said, will continue to depend on the efforts of neighboring countries to combat “atrocious acts of terrorism” like those seen in Brussels last week, and most recently in Lahore.

Earnest said the U.S. and Pakistan have “an important counterterrorism relationship” and assured that if the country requires American assistance, it will be provided.

Easter celebrations at a recreational park in Lahore took a bloody turn after a suicide bomber blew himself up, killing 70 and injuring more than 300 people.

In the wake of the jihad massacre targeting women and children on Easter Sunday in Lahore, the Obama administration wants you to know that Muslims were killed in that attack.

As for the the Christians targeted and murdered, nothing to see here.

But Muslims were caught in the cross-hairs, so Obama springs into action.

The attack was conducted by a Taliban splinter group — and Obama has repeatedly said (even as late as this week) that the Taliban is not our enemy. Clearly, though, he is.

From the Blaze:

One Detail Was Noticeably Missing From State Department Statement on Pakistan Taliban Attack

When the U.S. Department of State released a statement condemning the Pakistani Taliban faction’s Easter bombing in a Lahore park, it noticeably omitted the fact that Easter-celebrating Christians were specifically targeted.

The bombing’s death toll climbed to 60 people, with 300 others that were reported as wounded. The explosion, which appeared to be a suicide bombing, struck an area that was crowded with Christians who were celebrating Easter. A splinter group of the Pakistani Taliban has since claimed full responsibility for the bombing, which it claimed was specifically targeting Christians who were celebrating the Easter holiday weekend, according to the Los Angeles Times.

But when the Department of State released its statement addressing the bombing, it failed to mention that key component.

“The United States condemns in the strongest terms today’s appalling terrorist attacks in Lehore, Pakistan,” the statement read. “This cowardly act, which targeted innocent civilians in the Gulshan-e-Iqbal Park, has killed dozens and left scored injured. The United States stands with the people and government of Pakistan at this difficult hour. We send our deepest condolences to the loved ones of those killed and injured, and our thoughts and prayers are with the people of Lahore as they respond to and recover from this terrible tragedy.”

The U.S. State Department’s statement also declared its continued resolve to increase its efforts in defeating terrorism.

“Attacks like these only deepen our shared resolve to defeat terrorism around the world, and we will continue to work with our partners in Pakistan and across the region to combat the threat of terrorism,” the statement concluded. – souce

Could it be any more clear to us as Christians, that the “Ethnic cleansing” of the Middle East, is ignored by the leftist press and by our White House?  Brothers and sisters in Christ, this is coming to America in the near future.

Brethren, take solace in knowing this:

“That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father” (Philippians 2:10-11).

A Story by my Grandson, Brody: Why God Made Dogs

Brody and BanjoBrody is spending the night with us tonight. He loves that I write. He is almost 8 years old. Tonight he told me that he had a story. I asked him “Would you like me to publish this?” He was very excited. So, here is Brody’s story:

Why God Made Dogs For People
by Brody Clark

Did you know that Dog spelled backwards is God?

I think that God gave us dogs for:

Great friend

Protection

To not be lonely

To cheer you up when you’re sad

To sleep with

To cuddle with

To play with

I think God had fun making dogs

And thats why God made dogs.
