ANOTHER PLANE: Southwest Jet Aborts Landing After Near Miss with Another Plane Crossing Runway in Chicago

From breitbart.com

A Southwest Airlines flight aborted its landing after nearly colliding with another plane crossing the runway at Chicago’s Midway Airport on Tuesday morning, video shows.

The video shows the airliner — Flight 2504 — nearly touching down before revving back up and ascending back into the air. Ahead, one can see what has been described by NBC Chicago as an “unauthorized” FlexJet business jet crossing the runway.

“The flight safely landed “after the crew performed a precautionary go-around to avoid a possible conflict with another aircraft that entered the runway,” according to a statement from Southwest.

“The Crew followed safety procedures and the flight landed without incident,” the statement added. “Nothing is more important to Southwest than the Safety of our Customers and Employees.”

Per NBC Chicago:

Audio captured from live air traffic control communications, or LiveATC indicated Southwest Airlines Flight 2504 was cleared to land on Runway 31C by local controllers, with the jet, FlexJet 560 taxing for departure and communicating with ground control at a different frequency.

In the audio, the jet was instructed to cross runway 31L, but stopped short of runway 31C to allow the Southwest Flight to land. Some confusion about the clearance occurs, with the controlling then repeating the instruction.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has opened an investigation into the incident.

“The crew of Southwest Airlines Flight 2504 initiated a go-around when a business jet entered the runway without authorization at Chicago Midway Airport,” the FAA stated.

“The FAA is investigating the incident, which occurred around 8:50 a.m. local time on Tuesday, Feb. 25,” it added.

The near miss follows a stressful and devastating month for aviation following the tragicincident over the Potomac River, as an American Airlines jet and a U.S. Army Blackhawk helicopter collided over Washington, DC, killing all 67 aboard both the plane and helicopter.

The FAA reported two other incidents on Tuesday, as a JetBlue Flight 967 diverted to John F. Kennedy International Airport after reporting a possible engine issue. Additionally, a United Airlines Flight 1544 returned to Newark Liberty International Airport on Tuesday over another possible engine issue.

It seems that someone is trying to send us a message. That message is coming through loud and clear.  It makes me wonder if suddenly there will be multiple planes colliding at the same time. I certainly hope not – but what are we to think?

COME LORD JESUS – COME QUICKLY!

If it is being done on purpose, then it is certainly being cleverly done, for each incident could easily be ‘accidental’ — though putting pilots without enough experience in charge of such aircraft because of what they are, rather than merit and experience cannot by any stretch of the imagination be called anything but criminal, taking wanton risks with so many people’s lives all at once — including the pilot’s!
The business jet could easily have misunderstood some order or other; or just as easily, it could have been given the go-ahead for the runway, with the order given on purpose to cause a crash without the pilot’s knowledge — or it might even have been placed in the hands of a fanatic willing to place themselves in the way of the landing aeroplane!
That is the problem here: it seems suspicious, because so many are suddenly happening all at once; but actually, other than the instinct that something must be wrong somewhere for so many catastrophic (or nearly so) occurrences to happen all at once, so close together, there is nothing one can actually really put one’s finger on and say “this jolly well proves there IS something nefarious afoot”.
If there is, hopefully it will be made manifest very soon, and those responsible get into the trouble they would so richly deserve. Otherwise, it still could just be a lot of very weird coincidences.

    1. I am surprised that we have not seen President Trump address this in a presser. I am reading that many people are scared to fly. That in itself could hurt our economy but I think, as you said, there is something nefarious afoot!

They need to keep some pilots from piloting & maybe some mechanics away from the planes altogether. Hire more inspectors that refuse to sign off on bogus repairs. That’s a start anyway…I learned early in life to look both ways b4 crossing the street..guess they don’t teach that anymore.
