The plane struck the landing strip as it arrived at Toronto Airport, but video showed the CRJ-900 aircraft catching fire when it hit the pavement and proceeding to turn sideways while sliding across the runway.
Reports online are now suggesting that 26-year-old Kendal Michelle Swanson was the main pilot or one of the pilots of the Delta Air Lines plane that crashed and flipped upside down at Toronto Pearson International Airport.
“The pilot who landed the plane upside down at the Toronto Pearson Airport is a 26-year-old female who just got certified as an Airline transport pilot last month. I KNEW IT! DEI strikes again!” a post stated on X while providing a picture of the young lady.
Two of the 21 passengers injured suffered critical injuries.
What caused Monday’s crash remains under investigation by the Canadian Transportation Safety Board.

Delta Air Lines Flight 4819 flipped over upon landing at Toronto Pearson International Airport, but luckily, 76 passengers hanging upside down from their seatbelts made it out alive.
Now, the company is trying to make things right.
The company is offering them $30,000 each. If all passengers accept the offer, the airline will pay out approximately $2.3 million in total.
Passengers who accept Delta’s payment should receive the money shortly after agreeing.

My unsolicited advice to these victims is NEVER accept an on the spot payment for injuries resulting from another party’s negligence. U might have lingering injuries that won’t be noticeable for a while & settling it leaves u on the hook for more treatments etc. 30k in a hospital doesn’t go very far…just like doctors…get more opinions.
