Louisiana on Wednesday became the first state in the country to require all public school classrooms to have the Ten Commandments displayed.
Louisiana Republican Gov. Jeff Landry signed the bill into law Wednesday.
The legislation requires the commandments to be displayed in “large, easily readable font,” according to The Associated Press.
Proponents of the legislation have argued that it is okay to display the Ten Commandments because they are not solely religious, but also have historical significance. In the new law they are described as “foundational documents of our state and national government.”
Those who oppose argued that potential lawsuits could follow over the constitutionality of the law.

HALLELUJAH!!!
Oh, I’m glad I’m down in the land of cotton,
Old times there are not forgotten…🎶
I know, corny, but true.
They also said they are not bound by certain international
bodies ( I think WEF, possibly WHO, & others,) were pretty much told to go jump in the lake, or in the case of Louisiana… the alligator filled swamps down there!
Hallelujah!
“…and Secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity,…”. Now that’s constitutional! “As free, and not using your liberty as a cloke of maliciousness, but as the servants of God.” 1Pet. 2:16 And this is where the government of man constantly fails.
I that at a start. Don’t forget there it is 7 more to post temooo
So good to hear. Love to see strong Christians fight back. Tired of being bombarded by evil symbols everywhere i look. Hang the Commandments of God up square in the middle and let the kids wonder what it means and ask about it.
Hm, I was jubilant when I first heard this, but then I thought, hey wait a minute… Is the GOVERNMENT really supposed to be MANDATING religion? Encouraging, maybe, supporting, possibly…but MANDATING? Seems like this could backfire. So…I am cautiously optimistic while remaining suspicious of how this could be misused if the government really decided to. Praying for Louisiana and its government and citizens.
Mandating? I don’t think so. These are the Ten Commandments from God and they should be displayed.
