The DEVIL and Karl Marx

This article was originally posted in 2020. I felt it was time to bring it out again…..

As I began to really research the life of Karl Marx, it struck me that his early years almost mirrored those of George Soros.

Yes – different time and circumstances, but did you know that both men were born as Jews, and that their fathers decided to convert to Protestant Christianity?

And both men became rabid self-hating Jews. In the case of Marx, he loathed God and was obsessed with Satan.

Why Karl Marx Hated God, and Marxists Hate Christians

A movement led by “trained Marxists,” Black Lives Matter, now dominates the headlines, and thugs fighting in its name control several U.S. cities. So we need to understand Marx. Was he an idealist? A lover of the poor? A brilliant economist? A ‘man for others’? Or something much, much darker … a Gnostic who just “wanted to watch the world burn”? If Marx was in the grips of dark spirits when he drew up his system, what does that say of his followers today? Of churchmen who blindly embrace and parrot the slogans of Marxist groups, like BLM?

To find out, The Stream interviewed conservative scholar Paul Kengor. We talked about his powerful new book, The Devil and Karl Marx.

John Zmirak: Your new book The Devil and Karl Marx is fascinating — and disturbing. One thing you turn up that no one ever talks about: Marx’s fascination with Satan. You quote early works of Marx’s where he obsessively referenced Faust, Mephistopheles, Prometheus. All were figures of rebellion against God. Can you expand on that for Stream readers, maybe offer a few choice quotes?

Paul Kengor: There are so many examples, John. And frankly, that’s the point. There’s too much to shrug off. I hesitate to try to give even one or two examples here, because they won’t be sufficient.

Marx’s poems and plays are rife with pacts with the devil, suicide pacts, violence, vengeance, fire, despair, destruction, and death. Marx waxed poetic about “Hellish vapors,” about the “Prince of Darkness” selling a “blood-dark sword [that] shall stab unerringly within thy soul,” of “Heaven I’ve forfeited, I know it full well, My soul, once true to God, Is Chosen for Hell.”

Among the most chilling of Marx’s writings was the play that he titled Oulanem. Two Marx biographers (Robert Payne and Richard Wurmbrand) say that title is a sacrilegious inversion of the holy name “Manuelo” or “Emmanuel.” As Payne formulated it “Manuelo = Immanuel = God.” Wurmbrand was even more blunt. He identified the anagram as a directly Satanist anagram for the Hebrew Biblical name for Jesus, meaning “God is with us.” Of course, in sacred Scripture, the Angel Gabriel says to the Virgin Mary that she shall bear a child, and his name shall be Emmanuel, or Jesus. He will be called “Son of the Most High.” But these were not the words (or purpose) of Karl Marx in his anagram for Emmanuel — and for his “Oulanem.”

Wurmbrand published that observation in the 1980s. Payne wrote about the play in his superb biographies of Marx in the 1960s and 1970s, published by the likes of Simon & Schuster and New York University Press. Payne was a respected and fair scholar, a British professor of literature and the arts, and no right-winger. If you Google the word “Oulanem” today, you will immediately find a Wikipedia reference to Marx’s play. A warning, however: your screen will also display repulsive images of Satanic figures. Don’t bother, dear reader. I’ve done the dirty work for you.

Marx’s message in Oulanem is dark and destructive, like his poems. Payne observed that the violence unleashed by Marx in some of his poems is turned inward, as the subject destroys himself. But the violence in Oulanem is turned outward with the destruction of all mankind by the character that is “Oulanem.” Still more disquieting was Marx’s personal role in that vision. Payne observes: “We enter a world where all the characters are learned in the arts of destruction, caught in the coils of a secret rage for vengeance.” He says that in this play, “Marx was giving vent to his own destructive rages. Oulanem is a revenger’s tragedy.”

Was Marx … Possessed?

Some of these biographers seem to me to suggest that Karl Marx was possessed, or a Satanist. What do you say about that?

I’d really like to clarify here, to this audience, a crucial distinction I try to make. I see that it’s getting lost in some of the reaction to the book. I do not say nor do I know whether Karl Marx was possessed or a Satanist. I do quote others who speculate on that possibility or claim it outright. Those are things I couldn’t begin to affirm. I say that very carefully right up front and repeatedly. I’ve never encountered examples of Marx dabbling in the occult or engaging in black Masses or pagan worship. (Though I give examples of other communists doing such things.)

As I say early on, this book could be better titled, The Devil and Communism, because it goes way beyond the person of Marx. Read the section on the communist prison camp at Pitesti. People will be utterly shocked at the vile expressions of evil and depravity that they can’t even imagine — black Masses, mock crucifixions, priests forced to form communion wafers out of human excrement, denunciations of Mary as “the great whore,” of Jesus as “the great idiot crucified on the cross.” Read the material on Walter Duranty and Aleister Crowley. Read the section on Kate Millett. Read the weird and sometimes occultish garbage from certain members of the Frankfurt School.

But as for Marx specifically, I say this in the preface: There was a deep hatred of religion and interest in the “dark side” that is undeniable and chilling, especially in Marx’s poetry. We repeatedly encounter in the life of Marx the words  that family members and close friends used referring to him. Phrases like “governed by a demon” (his father), “my dear devil” (his son), “monster of ten thousand devils” (Engels). See the striking number of intimates and associates who compared him to Faust or Mephistopheles. They used words like “possessed,” or “eyes like a wet goblin,” or “take under a spell,” to describe his demeanor. One observed Marx shouting or “chanting the words from Faust.”

There are way too many of these to blithely ignore.

“There were times when Marx seemed to be possessed by demons,” recorded Robert Payne in his chapter “The Demons.” This appeared in his seminal 1968 biography of Marx. “He had the devil’s view of the world, and the devil’s malignity. Sometimes he seemed to know that he was accomplishing works of evil.”

What is undeniable is the evil associated with and wrought by Marxist-communist ideology: at least 100 million dead in the 20th century alone.

A word of caution here to all scholars and biographers, especially Christian ones. You don’t want to overstate things, but you also don’t want to understate. There’s room in the world for nuance and making careful distinctions, even if this lousy Twitter culture militates against it. Describing Marx’s views requires more than 40 characters on a Twitter feed, or whatever the limit is.

He Wanted to Watch the World Burn

What I took away from your book is that Marx’s first and most defining preoccupation was with cosmic revolt. He wanted to overthrow, destroy, rip up, dissolve, and shred what he saw around him. That didn’t just include the market economy. He wanted to smash up nations. It seems that later on he came up with his Communist Utopia, a fantasy land of perfect harmony and peace. But the urge to destroy came first, and was more fundamental. Would you say that’s fair?

You see that in Oulanem. Here, the principal character, who serves as a sort of mock Creator, rises and declares of the world: “I shall howl gigantic curses at mankind.” And “I will smash to pieces with my enduring curses.” Payne interpreted it this way: “Oulanem was Marx as judge and executioner.” (emphasis added)

Richard Wurmbrand, the Romanian pastor who spent 14 years tortured for Christ in a communist prison camp, says: “There is no support for the view that Marx entertained lofty social ideals about helping mankind. Marx hated any notion of God or gods. He determined to be the man who would kick out God.”

Marx’s disciples and implementers would certainly try to kick out God. Source

How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High” (Isaiah 14: 12-14).

The similarities between Marx and Satan are glaring.

Dethrone God?  Oh, this is definitely not subtle.

So brethren, I think that we can state the obvious that Marx worshiped Satan. As we watch the burning, looting, rioting and murder in the streets of many of our cities, we must remember who we are truly battling.

We must fight this battle on our knees.

Kansas Sues Pfizer Over Covid Vaccine Claims

From thenewamerican.com

On June 17, the state of Kansas filed a lawsuit against Pfizer Inc., accusing the pharmaceutical giant of making misleading statements about the safety and efficacy of its Covid-19 vaccine. The lawsuit, led by Kansas Attorney General Kris Kobach, was filed in Kansas District Court in Thomas County and alleges that Pfizer violated the state’s consumer-protection law by misrepresenting its vaccine.

Allegations of Safety Misrepresentation

The lawsuit highlights several key instances in which Pfizer allegedly misled the public. The safety profile of the vaccine has been lied about, implies Kobach, saying,

Pfizer said its COVID-19 vaccine was safe even though it knew its COVID-19 vaccine was connected to serious adverse events, including myocarditis and pericarditis, failed pregnancies, and deaths.

One notable claim from Pfizer, made in its press release on April 1, 2021, asserted that there were “no serious safety concerns through up to six months following the second dose” of their vaccine. In August, September, and November of 2021, when the vaccination campaign was in full swing all over the world, Pfizer and its CEO, Albert Bourla, reiterated the claim that vaccines were “safe and effective.”

However, documents made public through legal proceedings revealed that Pfizer’s proprietary adverse events database [pdf] had recorded 158,893 adverse events globally between December 1, 2020 and February 28, 2021.

That database, focusing on post-authorization safety analysis, contained more than 1,200 types of so-called adverse events of special interests (AESI), which is a type of adverse event that is identified as being of particular concern, normally identified before the drug is cleared for authorization or approval. Pfizer’s list of AESIs includes numerous cardiovascular, neurologic, and reproductive issues in vaccine recipients. Moreover, Pfizer’s recorded as many as 1,223 deaths among vaccine recipients, “although Pfizer did not make causality findings.”

Kobach noted that while Pfizer did not identify “the magnitude of underreporting” in that database, the underreporting was “likely significant.”

“Pfizer’s representations that its COVID-19 vaccine did not have any safety concerns were inconsistent with the adverse events data it possessed. Pfizer concealed, suppressed, or omitted material facts it possessed showing significant safety concerns associated with Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine,” says the attorney general.

Vaccines in Pregnancy

Another important point made by the suit is that Pfizer likely misrepresented the safety of its vaccine to pregnant women and their babies. While expectant mothers were excluded from the clinical trials, Pfizer and its partner, BioNTech, tested the jabs on pregnant rats.

While the conclusion of the study was positive and said that the administration of the vaccine was merely associated with non-adverse effects, a deeper look into the details of the study reveals a more concerning picture. Fetuses of the pregnant rats inoculated with the Pfizer shot developed severe malformations. Additionally, these rats had higher rates of failed pregnancies, with more than double the embryo implantation failure rate compared to the control group.

Despite these findings, Pfizer did not publicly disclose the study’s results. While other animal-study findings related to its vaccine were published and promoted, the details of the rat fertility study remained hidden until they were released in November 2022 through a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit.

By February 28, 2021, Pfizer had reports of 458 pregnant women exposed to its vaccine, with more than half (54 percent) reporting adverse events. Notably, more than 10 percent of these women experienced miscarriages shortly after vaccination. Furthermore, six cases of premature deliveries were reported, with several resulting in infant deaths.

Pfizer sought to conduct further studies on pregnant women, according to the February 18, 2021, announcement. While it failed to attract as many participants as it looked for, the trials were completed on July 15, 2022. The results were never published.

Cardiac Safety Claims

Vaccine-caused cardiac issues, such as myocarditis and pericarditis, were also misrepresented by Pfizer, according to the lawsuit. As an example of such misrepresentation, Kobach quotes Bourla, who said on January 18, 2023 that Pfizer had not seen “single [safety] signals [on strokes and myocarditis] … although we have distributed billions of doses.”

However, says Kobach, authorities in both the United States and foreign countries have detected such signals early on. For instance, “by June 2021, [U.S.] military doctors found an association between the COVID-19 vaccine and myocarditis in at least 23 military patients who had no known cardiac issues until 12 to 96 hours following a mRNA COVID-19 vaccination, after which they developed myocarditis.” When the Department of Defense analyzed its health system data for 2021, it discovered that individuals who had recently been vaccinated experienced rates of myocarditis and pericarditis that were 2.6 and 2.0 times higher, respectively, compared to those who had never been vaccinated.

In addition to that, as early as March 2021, Israel’s Ministry of Health contacted the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) about a “large number of myocarditis and pericarditis cases in young individuals soon after Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine.”

In June 2021, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) added a warning to the vaccine’s label regarding myocarditis and pericarditis. These side effects are described by the CDC as “rare” and easily treated.

Efficacy Claims

The lawsuit also addresses claims about the vaccine’s effectiveness. Pfizer’s April 2021 press release claimed 91.3 percent protection against Covid-19 up to six months post-second dose. However, subsequent documents showed that effectiveness was recorded at 83.7 percent at four months, with indications of further waning by six months. Pfizer did acknowledge this decline in a preprint paper released on July 28, 2021, but omitted this information in public communications, focusing instead on positive findings from another study.

The lawsuit contends that Pfizer’s omission of the waning effectiveness allowed the company to continue profiting from vaccinations in Kansas, potentially misleading individuals who might have reconsidered their choices had they known about the declining efficacy.

According to the announcement of the lawsuit, other states might join Kansas, “depending on Pfizer’s reaction.”

WATCH: BILL MAHER SHOCKED THE ENTIRE LIBERAL WORLD WITH THIS CLIP ABOUT ISRAEL

From newsreal.com

“The Jews Are Indigenous To Israel & Palestine Never Existed!”

Who has the right to the Land of Israel? Is that what the debate is truly about? The Arabs claim it is their Land, while Israelis claim it is their Land? Right? Wrong. The debate over the Land of Israel is actually not much of a debate. If it were truly about national and historic rights, then Israel would have won the battle long ago. There has probably never been a people with a more historic claim to a land than the Jewish people’s claim to the historic Land of Israel.

So what is the battle over the Land of Israel really about? If we simply listen to what the Arabs claim, it is actually a very simple answer. It is a Holy War – a battle of Islam against everyone else. A battle of Islam against anyone who does not follow the Islam religion. That is why the battle is alive and well on the streets of France, New York, and many other countries around the world. It is not merely a battle over Jerusalem and other Holy Sites. It is a Holy War. It is not a debate. It is a fight to the death for Arabs and a fight for survival for Jews.

Somebody with a real estate claim does not scream, “Kill the squatters on my land!” But that is exactly what the people in Israel are dealing with.  The masses of Arabs across Israel and the world either call for the killing of Jews explicitly or in a more figurative manner they call for a State of Palestine from the river to the sea. The net result is the same – dead Jews.

The only thing separating the aspirations of masses of Arabs to kill Jews from actualizing them is the Israel Defense Forces. Before the formation of the State of Israel, marauding Arabs attacked Jews mercilessly. Even when it seemed that things were calm and peaceful, beneath the surface, things were simmering. The Arab massacre of tens of Jews in 1929 in Hebron came following decades of relative calm and coexistence.

That rude awakening led the Jewish pioneers across the Land of Israel to build up self-defense units on a larger scale than before as the British Army was clearly not a reliable option to defend against Arab attacks. Until the Israel Defense Forces was set up in the midsts of the War of Independence, the Jewish people across the world basically lived lives in constant peril. The most effective method of fighting was a passport. That ended on the shores of the Mediterranean.

The world is still getting used to the Jew who fights back and kills the enemy with superior weaponry. The world is returning to a natural state wherein the Jewish people’s role as a light unto the nations is becoming a reality. Part of this process includes the ingathering of the exiles to the Jewish Homeland, building a powerful army, robust economy, and not cowering to enemies, but living as proud and upright Jews should.
