Please forgive me for not posting news. I have been so sick. Meeting with my surgeon on Feb 17 about the parathyroid surgery.
My Hopkins doctor is acting beastly to me and reminded me that I’m overdue for the jab.
My hives are chronic and all over me. I even have hives in my ears and needed medicine for the itching – doctor ignorned me. Finally got the medicine from my endocrinologist.
Now I have horrible vertigo. Trying to get medicine for this – doctor ignored me – Endo called something in but they were out of stock.
I was scheduled for an ultrasound study of my carotid arteries for today, but I had to postpone because I can’t put my head back without extreme vertigo and nausea. Anyone know the best medicine for bad vertigo?
The only good thing is that I have found a new GP – a lady from U. of MD Hospital. My endo recommended her. I will see her in March.

We all need to pray for replacement physicians for you!!! YIKES. Is your new GP a functional or holistic physician or an osteopathic physician? An OD could “quarterback” your care with all medical profesionals working together . (MD’s are allopathic physicians: treat symptoms with drugs, radiation or surgery while osteopathic physicians review the condition(s) of the entire patient to determine causes and, whenever possible, to treat the whole body holistically, naturally, even organically, not only to relieve symptoms but to HEAL.

The only thing that helps me with extreme Vertigo is acupuncture. Heavy metals (amalgum fillings had to be removed), mold had to be addressed, plus Lyme Disease had to be treated also.

Gerri, my sister was suffering with terrible vertigo. She was able to get physical therapy for it, exercises she did that helped her tremendously! Look into physical therapy for vertigo. It is available. PRAYING for you, Gerri in JESUS’ Name<3

Hello Geri, we are so very sorry you are in such pain. You are in our prayers. The med I used for vertigo is called Meclizine. It helps with dizziness, nausea. You can get it over the counter. But of course, check with your doctor to see if it is ok, especially if you are on other meds. Hope this helps. Feel better sister, we love you so much!

Hi Geri, it is rough being sick when you are usually a productive person. It is especially hard when you are not sure of cause or prognosis. I cannot speak for everyone but I surely do appreciate you and your work of keeping us apprised of what is going on and why. I am not a prayer warrior but I will pray for you and your husband and I know He listens!

I agree with Carlie’s comment. Chiropractic adjustments of the cervical spine are also very helpful in eliminating vertigo and other symptoms caused by misalignment. May the Lord give you needed rest and continue to protect, direct, and heal you!

I’m so sorry! Vertigo is the worst. My naturopath told me to take Oil of Oregano three times a day for 2 weeks and it helped me immensely. It then came back so I did it again and now have been fine for 2 years. Also upped my magnesium which is supposed to help with vertigo. Praying for you!

I am so sorry you’re suffering so much. Tell the Hopkins doctor you will remain overdue for jab! Meanwhile, I had severe vertigo, too, and it was related to a thyroid issue- Hashimoto’s thyroiditis. I had my thyroid removed but turned out the malignant tumor on it was in my trachea. I had everything in my throat removed, larynx, vocal cords, muscles, salivary glands, and unfortunately my parathyroid glands, too. At any rate they did not survive and I have to take a Rx medication daily to keep my calcium level up. But by God’s grace I survived and pray I bring Him glory in everything I do, until my race is run. Praying for you, faithful sister.
PS I totally forgot to tell you what helped my vertigo and I thank God I found it. I’m an essential oil user, anyway, but was traveling and needed relief quickly. I went into a Walmart and found a product called Motion-Eaze. It’s a blend of organic essential oils and a life saver. I’ve recommended it and given away many bottles of it. It was very inexpensive when I first bought it nearly 8 years ago.

Hi Geri I’m a subscriber from Australia and appreciate your regular and informative posts. I’ve suffered with vertigo for many years and can definitely sympathise with you! Unfortunately there is no cure for vertigo, but it can be managed. The medication (tablet), Stemetil, can help with nausea. You need to find a vestibular physiotherapist. I was given simple exercises to do each day to help improve my balance. I’m functioning much better now after a major vertigo crash a couple of years ago when I was off work for 2 weeks and in a really bad way. My doctor referred me to a physio who got me on my feet again. I still have to be careful when moving / bending over etc. I now sleep on my left side the majority of the time, as the physio found my problem side is the right. Only you would know the answer to some of the things they bring up. Joe Giessler is the author. Praying also that you get a physician who actually believes the Lord. Fifty years ago, there used to be some of those.
