Ukrainians Detained at Border Despite Biden’s ‘Open Arms’ Promise, Psaki Blames the War Refugees Themselves

Unlike the United States’ southern border, where the Biden administration claims it is enforcing the law as record numbers of illegal immigrants enter the country with impunity, a new report states that Ukrainian refugees trying to enter the U.S. are being warehoused because they didn’t fill out their paperwork properly as they fled death.

Ukrainian refugees, “have to apply through the existing programs,” White House press secretary Jen Psaki lectured Friday, according to a White House transcript of her briefing.

The question was raised at the briefing due to a report by NewsweekFriday that refugees were being shunted to detention centers operated by Immigrations and Customs Enforcement. The report quoted President Joe Biden as saying Ukrainian refugees should be welcomed “with open arms.”

“The fact that people from Ukraine have family here, friends here they can connect with, and they’re not allowing them to enter the U.S. is hugely problematic,” Scarborough said.

“Unless [the Biden administration] changes their policies, we expect the number of detentions to increase,” she said.

Kristen Walker of NBC asked Psaki about that apparent contradiction.

“I want to follow up with you on something we’ve been discussing throughout the week: The issue of refugees. Newsweek has reported that the U.S. is actually detaining Ukrainian refugees in the ICE detention centers — those who are seeking entry into the country — which seems like a contradiction of President Biden saying that he would welcome them here. Can you tell us why this is happening and what’s being done?” she said.

“I can’t confirm any specific cases. I’d point you to the Department of Homeland Security. But what I would say is that we are still implementing our immigration laws at the border,” Psaki said,
“That means that Title 42 is in place,” she said, referring to a policy that allows immigrants to be expelled due to the coronavirus. On March 11, the CDC eased the policy as it applies to unaccompanied minors, according to The Associated Press.

In its reporting, Newsweek noted that European nations that had similar policies in place have waived them for Ukrainian refugees.

Psaki said Ukraine refugees would have to go through the process.

“And for individuals who come through, you know, abnormal migration, we approach that through the same laws and implementation,” she said. “When the president says he would welcome refugees, of course he would, but they have to apply through the refugee programs.”

Walker didn’t quite buy it.
“But do you acknowledge, Jen, that detaining them is a contradiction to President Biden saying he would welcome them with open arms?” she said.
Psaki suggested that, for potential immigrants from Ukraine, the paperwork remained paramount.

“Well, again, Kristen, we implement and we — our immigration laws across the board, no matter what country you come from.  And that has been our case and approach from the beginning. Welcoming refugees means applying through the refugee process,” she said.


Asked whether it was a priority to help refugees find new homes other than detention centers, Psaki insisted again that, “we are continuing to apply our immigration laws at the border.”

“And so, refugees who want to come to the United States — of course we would welcome Ukrainian refugees.  That is why — but they have to apply through the existing programs.  There’s an ongoing discussion about what programs or what steps we could take.  And we certainly — that’s an important conversation and process internally,” she said. We must understand that we are being lied to by the media. Accept it – I’m not saying that we should like it (it’s despicable) but we are in the end days and our Lord warned us of exactly what we see happening.

Ukraine Sees Signs of Another Neighbor Planning ‘Direct Invasion’

Ukraine’s Ministry of Defense on Sunday claimed that Belarus is preparing its military to invade Ukraine before warning Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, an ally of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

There are “signs of preparation” that Belarus will carry out the “direct invasion of the territory of Ukraine,” the Defense Ministry wrote on social media, according to a translation. It did not provide evidence for its claim, nor did it provide other details.

“The direct involvement of Belarusian troops in Russia’s armed aggression against Ukraine, against the will of ordinary soldiers and the vast majority of the Belarusian people, will be a fatal mistake for Alexander Lukashenko,” the ministry added.

Officials in Belarus have not issued a public comment in response to Ukraine’s allegations.

Belarus shares a lengthy border with Ukraine. Russian forces were seen amassing in Belarus in the weeks leading up to the start of the conflict on Feb. 24, although so far, it appears no Belarussian forces have been deployed in Ukraine.

Lukashenko said last week that his country had intercepted a missile that was fired from Ukraine, claiming the move is an attempt to draw his country into the conflict.

“I warned you that they would push us into this operation, into this war,” Lukashenko told Belarusian soldiers via state news agency BelTA.

“There’s nothing for us to do there, and we haven’t been invited,” Lukashenko was quoted as saying by the outlet, reported Reuters. “I want to emphasize again … We are not going to become involved in this operation that Russia is conducting in Ukraine.”

Over the weekend, Lukashenko, who has ruled Belarus since the early 1990s, praised Putin in an interview with Japanese broadcaster TBS. Lukashenko, who once kept his distance from the Kremlin, is now one of Putin’s closest allies.

“He and I haven’t only met as heads of state, we’re on friendly terms,” Lukashenko said. “I’m absolutely privy to all his details, as far as possible, both state and personal.”

He continued to say that “Putin is absolutely fit, he’s in better shape than ever … this is a completely sane, healthy person, physically healthy—he’s an athlete.”

On Friday, Putin held a massive rally in Moscow marking the eighth anniversary of Moscow’s annexation of the Crimean Peninsula. Reports claimed that more than 100,000 people attended the event.

More than three weeks into the invasion, Western governments and analysts see the conflict shifting to a war of attrition, with bogged down Russian forces launching long-range missiles at cities and military bases as Ukrainian forces carry out hit-and-run attacks and seek to sever Russian supply lines.

The British Defense Ministry asserted Sunday that Russia’s failure to gain control of Ukrainian airspace “has significantly blunted their operational progress,” forcing them to rely on weapons launched from Russia.

Over the weekend, the Russian Defense Ministry said a Kinzhal hypersonic missile hit a Ukrainian fuel depot in Kostiantynivka, a city near Mykolaiv. The Russian military said Saturday that it used a Kinzhal for the first time in combat to destroy an ammunition depot in the Carpathian Mountains in western Ukraine.

Russia has said the Kinzhal, carried by MiG-31 fighter jets, has a range of up to about 1,250 miles and flies at 10 times the speed of sound. The Pentagon says it has not yet confirmed its use in Ukraine. Source

Brothers and sisters in Christ, there is so much propaganda and outright deception happening; and it is virtually impossible to know TRUTH except the Truth of God through His Word.

I have ceased watching Fox News even though I do like Tucker Carlson. But knowing that Fox is indeed ‘controlled opposition’ I feel uncomfortable relying on them for factual reporting.

I am watching OANN.com (One America News Network) and I am hoping that they are not in the process of being bought or threatened so that we can somewhat depend on them for a clearer look at what is truly happening in Ukraine and Russia and now possibly Belarus.

Jesus told us that there would be much confusion and deception. PRAY that the Lord will give us discernment through the Holy Spirit within us.

There are two important things that we must be doing. Pray continuously to our Lord. Talk to Him all day and if you awake in the night, get on your knees and ask the Lord to bring His peace to you that only He can give:

“Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid” (John 14:27).

The second thing that must do is to share the saving Gospel of Jesus Christ with the lost. The worst that can happen is that people reject it. They are not rejecting you – they are rejecting the Lord. But if just one has their eyes opened and receives the truth – the angels in heaven will rejoice!
