As a young Jewish girl in the synagogue on Yom Kippur, I remember wondering how God might forgive all of our sins from the past year. I remember seeing older men praying and rocking back and forth; hair all disheveled and looking ever so hungry on the Day of Atonement. Each year I wondered about God’s forgiveness. It puzzled me.
It wasn’t until I was born again in 1983 that I learned that Jesus was sent to atone for our sins, if we would just repent and trust Him. And I read this:
“And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission” (Hebrews 9:22).
“And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world” (1 John 2:2)
Jesus came to our world as the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world!
GOD is speaking in these last days……….
To my Jewish people – Jesus IS the long awaiting Messiah of Israel AND of the whole world!
MARANATHA!
Peace for Israel!
Perhaps reminding Israel that without the shedding of blood, there will be no remission of sin………
“For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it for you on the altar to make attonement for your souls, for it is the blood that makes attonement for the life.” Lev. 17:11
Amen and Amen.
