Is Apostasy Coming?

Let no one in any way deceive you, for it will not come unless the apostasy comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction, (2 Thessalonians 2:3)

Are we living in the season of that day? It certainly seems so by the shock and awe of the 24-hour news cycle. I personally do not think we are quite there; however, we are trending that way fast. Just open your eyes and look at the new normal. Homosexuality, transgenderism, moral relativism, open slander and hatred, disobedience to parents, violence without restraint, and coming next, pedophilia.

 But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come. For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal, haters of good, treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, holding to a form of godliness, although they have denied its power; Avoid such men as these.
(2 Timothy 3:1-5)

Let us look at “holding to a form of godliness, although they have denied its power.” I used to wonder what that meant exactly until this present day. Look at the condition of the church (professed believers in Jesus Christ), I fear it is beyond life support and dead except for a remnant of true believers scattered about. Why do you think The Lord said:  “Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it. “For the gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life, and there are few who find it. (Matthew 7:13-14) Did you get that? “Few who find it.”

“Birth Pangs” are starting to shake the foundations of the earth. The author of Hebrews elaborates on Haggai 2:6: And His voice shook the earth then, but now He has promised, saying, “YET ONCE MORE I WILL SHAKE NOT ONLY THE EARTH, BUT ALSO THE HEAVEN.” This expression, “Yet once more,” denotes the removing of those things which can be shaken, as of created things, so that those things which cannot be shaken may remain. Therefore, since we receive a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us show gratitude, by which we may offer to God an acceptable service with reverence and awe; for our God is a consuming fire. (Hebrews 12:26-29)

Therefore, Almighty God is shaking the foundations of the earth. This also entails the very shaking of the Christian faith. It is at this current time unlike any other time in history that large portions of the professed church are falling away. It is in a largely un-persecuted church that apathy has permeated in it like a cancer.  In the USA I call it “Americanity.” Indeed, it flows far from the borders of the USA. Look at Europe for example. Now, look at this trend: Where the church is persecuted it is flourishing spiritually. Its adherent’s cling to the faith despite threats of arrest or even death. Could you imagine if an American mega church entertainment center were faced with such perils? Indeed, it will be and is coming to them as well as all of us. This shaking will separate the Saints from the Aints to be sure.

So then, they have a form of godliness although deny its power. Can you not see this on full display? I would wager that there are more churches like this than there are true bible believing, God fearing churches nearer to you. To be sure, there were always false churches in our midst, but not like now, they have multiplied like a wildfire. So for the past 50 or so years we’ve been watered down by myriads of false teaching, Hyper Faith, Hyper Grace, Name it and claim it, God wants you to be healthy and wealthy, and any other heresies that have cropped in over the last century. We have had by and large, a pulpit bent upon enriching itself with money and material wealth with shepherds that live off the fat of the sheep they are starving, while they themselves are living in grandiose houses. I have seen this personally and firsthand. We have a pastorate when asked anonymously 60% admits to viewing pornography. We have churches crumbling as circular firing squads of envious troubled self-proclaimed believers are bent upon destroying and slandering other brethren. Especially pastors that are attacked and ruined by troublemakers.  All the while our children witness this failed state of Americanity and by the time they reach a certain age they simply leave the church. And to add insult to injury our children learn in academia how science disproves God and their brains are filled with leftist ideologies. They are attacked in multiple directions.

We also have a VERY ignorant church that hardly reads God’s Word, and if/when they do, they do not believe it to be inerrant. It is after all (to them) a book full of fables and ancient myth. Some may accept Jesus is Lord however it is a Jesus they created in their own image.

We live at a time where women are spiritual, and men are absent. There are not many men leading their families in a Godly manner as they themselves weighed down by this troublesome world. Besides, they need to provide material things to their families as well as themselves. (I once guilty of this).  We leave our women to spiritually lead our families a task they are not given by God nor seldom with success. After a while many of them fall away weighed down with sin, just as Paul described would happen, continuing on in 2 Timothy: For among them are those who enter into households and captivate weak women weighed down with sins, led on by various impulses, always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. (2 Timothy 3:6-7)

So then some say an apostasy is coming, indeed so it is. In-fact it is underway right now. The groundwork is being laid down as I type. Don’t believe it? Let’s look at some numbers. Lifeway conducted a poll for Ligonier Ministries (I’m not a fan of theirs) with a sampling of over 3000 professed Christians in the United States in March of 2020.

From Worthy Christian News:

A new poll has found that 22% of US Evangelicals believe in “gender fluidity” rather than that people have a God-given gender that is either male or female, the Christian Post reports. The results of the “State of Theology 2020” poll was published by LifeWay Research on September 8.

Sponsored by Ligonier Ministries, the poll involved over 3,000 American participants. The study found that only 73% of American Evangelicals believe that gender is God-given and not a matter of choice.

The survey also found that Evangelicals are more likely to disagree that “gender identity is a matter of choice” (73%) than those who do not hold to evangelical beliefs (47%). Geographically, it was found that Americans in the Northeast are the most likely to believe in gender fluidity (44%). Moreover, those in rural areas were found to be more likely to disagree with gender fluidity (56%) than those in large cities (45%).

The poll showed that participants aged 18 to 34 are also the most likely to agree that gender is fluid (50%). Respondents aged 50-64 are the most likely to disagree (64%) with that premise, the Christian Post reports.

Church attendance appears to make a difference: the poll showed that respondents who attend services at least once or twice a month are more likely to disagree that gender is fluid (57%) than those who do not attend services (47%). [SOURCE]

Even beyond the Worthy News numbers, I found a few other disturbing trends when looking into the internal numbers of the poll.

{Jesus was a great teacher, but he was not God.}

Among all Christians: 51% agree, 37% disagree and 12% are not sure. When asked to Evangelicals the numbers are not much better: 66% disagree, 30% agree, and 4% are not sure. Did you GET THAT? 30% of evangelical Christians do not think Jesus is God. How is that possible!?!?!? Having a form of godliness and denying its power perhaps?

{The Bible, like all sacred writings, contains helpful accounts of ancient myths but is not literally true.}

Among all Christians: 48% agree, 41% disagree, and 11% are not sure. When asked to Evangelicals: 15% agree, 81% disagree, and 4% are not sure. How is it that 81% say the Bible is true, yet, 30% of the same people said Jesus is NOT God when the Bible point blank states so? In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things came into being through Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being. (John 1:1-3)

{God accepts the worship of all religions, including Christianity, Judaism, and Islam.}

Among all Christians: 63% agree, 24% disagree, and 13% are not sure. When asked to Evangelicals: 42% agree, 49% disagree, and 9% are not sure. So then, 42% of evangelicals think God accepts other religions and faiths outside of biblical Christianity. Put on a helmet this will make you want to bang your head off a wall. This very same group of evangelicals 100% agree that The Bible is the highest authority for what I believe. If that is so, do 42 out of 100 not have this in their Bibles: Jesus *said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me. (John 14:6) ???

What is very disturbing in the last several years of this poll is the fact that the numbers are going in the wrong direction. So indeed, the way is being paved for the coming apostasy. That poses a few questions for self-examination. Is your faith built on solid ground? Are you reading your Bibles daily? Are you truly born again and of the Kingdom that will not be shaken?   Because a shaking is coming.

A HARRIS ADMINISTRATION? Comrade Kamala Lets the Cat Out of the Bag

So, what most of us have been thinking about the Biden/Harris ticket just flew out of the mouth of Kamala Harris:

With Sleepy/Creepy Joe spending the majority of his time locked away in his basement (by orders of the Left) Kamala Harris talked of the “Harris Administration.”

Surprised?  I’m not. I have thought from the beginning that the powers that be in the POA (Party of Asses – DONKEYS!) know full well that Ole Joe’s mental health is spiraling downward, and that Comrade Kamala would slip onto the “Throne” not long after a (God forbid it) Democrat victory.

Back to Comrade Kamala

Someone whispered into Kamala’s ear about the plan to place her as POTUS. Wow – I bet that she was excited!  And her father who is a Marxist professor must have been dancing:

Kamala is the gift that keeps on giving – just like Creepy Joe!

Reparations Time? Kamala Harris’ Father Says Family Descended from a Jamaican Slave Owner

Sen Kamala Harris (D-Calif) is on the record as backing “some form of reparations” for slavery. In a recent interview, Harris agreed with the host’s suggestion that government reparations for black Americans were necessary to address past discrimination. The 2020 presidential hopeful later “affirmed that support” in a statement to The New York Times.

“We have to be honest that people in this country do not start from the same place or have access to the same opportunities,” she said in an interview with “The Breakfast Club.”

Harris continued:

Well look, I think that we have got to address that again, it’s back to the inequities. There, through–look, America has a history of 200 years of slavery. We had Jim Crow. We had legal segregation in America for a very long time. The Voting Rights Act was only strong for 50 years and then they wiped it out with this United States Supreme Court in the Shelby decision, to the point that 22 states immediately thereafter put in place laws that one court found were crafted with surgical precision to have black people not be able to vote.

So we’ve got to recognize, back to that earlier point, people aren’t starting out on the same base, in terms of their ability to succeed and so we have got to recognize that and give people a lift up. And, there are a number of ways to do it. Part of my initiative again around the “Lift Act” is that same point–you lifting people up who are making less than a hundred thousand dollars a year. What I want to do about rent is the same thing. What we need to do around education and understanding disparities, what we need to do around HBCUs. But we have a history of racism in America.Harris doesn’t owe anyone in America, but does she have some mea culpas to make in Jamaica? Her father, Donald J. Harris, wrote an extensive essay about the family’s heritage in Jamaica at Jamaican Global Online in January, claiming to be the descendant of a famed slave owner.

My roots go back, within my lifetime, to my paternal grandmother Miss Chrishy (née Christiana Brown, descendant of Hamilton Brown who is on record as plantation and slave owner and founder of Brown’s Town) and to my maternal grandmother Miss Iris (née Iris Finegan, farmer and educator, from Aenon Town and Inverness, ancestry unknown to me).  The Harris name comes from my paternal grandfather Joseph Alexander Harris, land-owner and agricultural “produce” exporter (mostly pimento or all-spice), who died in 1939 one year after I was born and is buried in the church yard of the magnificent Anglican Church which Hamilton Brown built in Brown’s Town (and where, as a child, I learned the catechism, was baptized and confirmed, and served as an acolyte).

Hamilton Brown was born in 1776 in Ireland. He became a sugar plantation owner and founder of Brown’s Town in Jamaica, according to university papers, textbooks, and historical documents. Henry Whiteley wrote a pamphlet entitled “Three months in Jamaica in 1832, Comprising a Residence on a Sugar Plantation,” where he describes Brown’s views on his slaves:

The same day I dined at St. Ann’s Bay, on board the vessel I arrived in, in the company with several colonists, among whom was Mr. Hamilton Brown, representative for the parish of St. Ann in the Colonial Assembly… I was rather startled to hear that gentleman swear by his Maker that that Order should never be adopted in Jamaica; nor would the planters of Jamaica, he said, permit the interference of the Home Government with their slaves in any shape. A great deal was said by him and others present about the happiness and comfort enjoyed by the slaves, and the many advantages possessed by them of which the poor in England were destitute. Among other circumstances mentioned in proof of this, Mr. Robinson, a wharfinger, stated that a slave in that town had sent out printed cards to invite a part of his negro acquaintance to a supper party. One of these cards was handed to Mr. Hamilton Brown, who said he would present it to the Governor, as a proof of the comfortable condition of the slave population.

But later that day, after he witnessed slaves being punished by Brown’s overseer, Whiteley wrote:

The first was a man of about thirty-five years of age. He was what is called a pen-keeper or cattle herd; and his offence was having suffered a mule to go astray. At the command of the overseer he proceeded to strip off part of his clothes, and laid himself flat on his belly, his back and buttocks being uncovered. One of the drivers then commenced flogging him with the cart whip. This whip is about ten feet long, with a short stout handle, and is an instrument of terrible power. It is whirled by the operator round his head, and then brought down with a rapid motion of the arm upon the recumbent victim, causing the blood to spring at every stroke. When I saw this spectacle now for the first time exhibited before my own eyes, with all its revolting accompaniments, and saw the degraded and mangled victim writhing and groaning under the infliction, I felt horror-struck. I trembled and turned sick; but being determined to see the whole to an end, I kept my station at the window. The sufferer, writhing like a wounded worm, every time the lash cut across his body, cried out, “Lord! Lord! Lord!” When he had received about twenty lashes, the driver stopped to pull up the poor man’s shirt (or rather smock frock), which had worked down upon his galled posteriors. The sufferer then cried, “Think me no man? Think me no man?” By that exclamation I understood him to say, “Think you I have not the feelings of a man?” The flogging was instantly recommenced and continued; the negro continuing to cry “Lord! Lord! Lord!” till thirty-nine lashes had been inflicted. When the man rose up from the ground, I perceived the blood oozing out from the lacerated and [illegible] parts where he had been flogged; and he appeared greatly exhausted. But he was instantly ordered off to his usual occupation.

Whiteley’s account goes on, describing one victim after the next, including women and young boys. It is truly sickening to read. Brown didn’t stop after the Jamaican slaves were freed. He attempted to make the Irish work on his plantation but failed when he was accused of trying to enslave more people. The historical accounts are so detailed that should Kamala Harris want to search out the families of the people her relative reportedly tortured, she would probably be able to find them.

Will she write a check to repair the damage her ancestor Hamilton Brown did to the slaves in Jamaica? Perhaps the media can do its job and ask her. Don Lemon might, as he seems concerned about her authentic blackness.

He may have a point. Not only is she not “African-American,” but she appears to be descended from violent slave owners.

It is possible Kamala Harris’ lineage came from Brown spreading his seed among his slaves through force, however, Donald Harris’ account is that Christiana Brown, his grandmother, carried the same name as Hamilton Brown and owned a general store in town while her sons worked the family farmland at Orange Hill. If they did descend from slaves, it appears they ended up owning and profiting from the land and business and family name. By the left’s standards, that would make Harris culpable for the suffering of the slaves who worked that plantation under Brown.

It’s a ridiculous supposition, of course, to hold anyone responsible for the actions of distant relatives hundreds of years ago. If we travel far enough back, most of us are likely related to slave owners at some point in history since selling people into slavery has always been a part of the human story across the globe. But since Harris has decided to embrace reparation theology, shouldn’t she lead by example?

If we had a curious or intellectually honest press, they would be lined up outside her door to find out if she’s going to send reparations checks to the descendants of her family’s slaves.

PJM reached out to Harris’ press office and Donald J. Harris for comment and received no response. source

So brethren, I am hoping and praying for a Trump victory once again.  But as I have said before, we know that God is in full control and that whoever prevails in November will be whom God allowed.

We MUST vote. That is not optional. It is our duty to vote! And those who would say that Christians should not vote are sorely mistaken.

How Can I Be Saved?
