Which Dog are you Feeding?

Most of us somewhere heard this Native American tale from a pulpit at one time or another: “Inside of me there are two dogs. One is mean and evil and the other is good and they fight each other all the time. When asked which one wins, I answer, the one I feed the most.”

Recently I have spoken with MANY fellow believers, all who have been suffering anxiety, depression, anger, and fear over the current political events. The prince of the airwaves really has ramped up his onslaught of disinformation coupled with a frenzy of chaos. The enemy tosses out bad news and disinformation like chum (shark bait) attracting the masses and fueling the fire of hate, doubt, fear, anxiety, hopelessness, and even to the point of questioning our faith. Too many believers are allowing the enemy to gain a dominating foothold over their lives. Why is that. Perhaps the constant drumbeat of fear provoking (by design) news is feeding that evil dog (the flesh). God’s word tells us of the works of the flesh: Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.” (Galatians 5:19–21)

The Sky is Falling … or Maybe Not | 2018-08-12 | phcppros

It seems to me that if we are constantly filling up on bad news that is designed by the enemy to distract us from the LORD. Therefore, we are feeding that evil dog. We are inviting despair upon our peace. We are fueling the fire of our fear and anger over constant barrages of double standards, corruption, and injustice. Far too many Born Again Believers are walking around in defeat. “Oh my, Biden will do X, Y and Z.” “The Sky is falling.” “It’s all over.” “America is Finished.” ETC…  STOP! We are the ones that have the VICTORY through Jesus our Messiah! All the noise from politics, academia, and media is irrelevant. Discard that venomous spew frothing from your media device. Turn off notifications or delete those news-feeds. I am not telling you to put your head in the sand as far as news goes. Just get off the carousel of 24-hour media craziness. Go to Christian Sites Like Worthy News that compile headlines for us without barraging us 24/7.

This is a coordinated attack not from Gates, Soros, China, Russian, and/or whoever. It’s an attack from the enemy of our souls: For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.” (Ephesians 6:12)

Raging Bull: How to Survive a Bull Charge - American Survival Guide

While we are looking at the straw-man we are being distracted by the true enemy. Look at a bullfighter for example. He uses the red cape to distract the bull. The bull is bigger, stronger, and faster than the bullfighter. If not for the distraction the bull would simply move a few feet right or left and the bullfighter is in real trouble. But, since the bull is distracted it gets wounded repeatedly over and over then killed. The adversary wants you distracted, it wants you not to effectively share Jesus’ salvation with the world, it wants you under the yoke of fear and misery so that you tune into the media as a drug that poisons you slowly. It is not interested in stopping there, it wants to kill you. What is the mission of The Enemy (Satan)?  The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. (John 10:10a)Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.” (1 Peter 5:8) The Enemy uses divide and conquer to pit humanity against one another. The Enemy will even use my alignment as a conservative patriot to his advantage by fueling a fire of anger within me. If it were not for the Lord Jesus and His salvation and me being a slave in Christ, I could have been one of those storming the capitol as an enraged patriot whose country has been stolen. My flesh SCREAMS OUT for justice and vengeance. But the LORD God tells us otherwise:

Never pay back evil for evil to anyone. Respect what is right in the sight of all men. If possible, so far as it depends on you, be at peace with all men. Never take your own revenge, beloved, but leave room for the wrath of God, for it is written, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,” says the Lord. “But if your enemy is hungry, feed him, and if he is thirsty, give him a drink; for in so doing you will heap burning coals on his head.” Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.” (Romans 12:17–21)

“Vengeance is Mine” says the LORD. He will repay. All those of wickedness, lawlessness, and unrighteousness will be judged by the Lord Jesus and fall under His ever-consuming wrath. Although I take personal satisfaction that the Lord will punish the guilty, I will NOT gloat. Because I too am deserving of wrath. Nevertheless, there will be reckoning and justice.

So then, why would we want to feed that bad dog within? We ought to starve this dog; yes? This evil puppy takes a steady diet of disinformation via endless news that is baiting anger, fear, and depression, and every other carnal sin we can construe. That evil dog (The Flesh) not only needs starved it needs to be put down:

Now those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.” (Galatians 5:24).

knowing this, that our old self was crucified with Him, in order that our body of sin might be done away with, so that we would no longer be slaves to sin;” (Romans 6:6)

Notice the words “have” and “was” Indeed so if we are in Christ, then we ARE partakers in the VICTORY. How then is it we walk around in defeat? Indeed so, we are looking at that red cape of distraction.

So rather than filling up on the media drumbeat and its feeding frenzy of demonic noise, fill up on God. Read HIS WORD. Get HIS PEACE. Do HIS WILL. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. Now those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. If we live by the Spirit, let us also walk by the Spirit. Let us not become boastful, challenging one another, envying one another.” (Galatians 5:22–26)

Considering all the current events I have a calm and peace over me. This peace is the peace only God can give. Turn to Him now. The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer, My God, my rock, in whom I take refuge; My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.” (Psalm 18:2)

Quit looking to mortal men for answers. Do not trust in princes, In mortal man, in whom there is no salvation. His spirit departs, he returns to the earth; In that very day his thoughts perish. How blessed is he whose help is the God of Jacob, Whose hope is in the Lord his God,” (Psalm 146:3–5)

Which person would you want to be here: Thus says the Lord, “Cursed is the man who trusts in mankind And makes flesh his strength, And whose heart turns away from the Lord. “For he will be like a bush in the desert And will not see when prosperity comes, But will live in stony wastes in the wilderness, A land of salt without inhabitant. “Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord And whose trust is the Lord. “For he will be like a tree planted by the water, That extends its roots by a stream And will not fear when the heat comes; But its leaves will be green, And it will not be anxious in a year of drought Nor cease to yield fruit.” (Jeremiah 17:5–8)

Brethren hear me. Get off the media circus of Satan and open your Bibles immersing yourselves in HIS Word. As a disciple (Student) you will hone your focus away from distractions and learn discernment. We will need it in the coming dark days ahead.

I encourage you to disconnect from the feeding frenzy designed to feed that evil dog in us.

Judgement Is Coming to America

So then, does it surprise you that corruption is entrenched not only in political establishments, but social as well. The United States I believe is corrupted beyond repair. I really do not foresee any revival coming. In-fact, I believe the near future will unleash further rounds of abominations that are normalized. What is next? Pedophilia? Bestiality? Of course, the masses will applaud and approve undoubtedly… who, knowing the righteous judgment of God, that those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them.” (Romans 1:32)

God is Judging America - Severe Judgement Coming Unless Repentance Comes Soon -- Repent & Prepare: Jerimiah 51: 7-14 Being Fulf… | Bible prophecy, Repentance, Words

There are a lot of fellow believers insisting God will spark a revival. Of course, that would be preferable. No doubt, all things are possible with God. Did He not send Jonah to Nineveh?  But even the long-suffering of God has its limit and conclusion. We only need to look at the Great Flood to see just that. When the door of the ark was closed, that was it. All caught outside the ark were destroyed and damned to everlasting contempt.  Let us consult our Bibles, shall we? Speaking of Noah, Jesus told us:

But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.” (Matthew 24:37–39)

Just like the days of Noah… What were those days like exactly? Then the Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.” (Genesis 6:5) Evil Continually upon man’s heart. Ouch.  Are we there in this present day? No, not quite. However, we are RAPIDLY progressing towards that day. Until then God will send us warnings and raise up voices to call to repentance. He always has. This is a universal truth concerning all nations. As nations are concerned God will judge them accordingly.  Also take note… If God did not spare His people (ancient Israel and Judea) national Judgment, He most assuredly will not spare us.

Let’s compare the laundry list of charges:

You shall not worship the Lord your God in that way; for every abomination to the Lord which He hates they have done to their gods; for they burn even their sons and daughters in the fire to their gods.” (Deuteronomy 12:31)

Milan business owner's anti-abortion signs drawing both criticism and support | WKRC

And they built the high places of Baal which are in the Valley of the Son of Hinnom, to cause their sons and their daughters to pass through the fire to Molech, which I did not command them, nor did it come into My mind that they should do this abomination, to cause Judah to sin.’” (Jeremiah 32:35) Right, we see that sacrificing children is an “Abomination” to the LORD. We are guilty as charged to the tune of 60 million unborn babies sacrificed upon the altar of feminism. Considering we are a Nation of around 330 million, 60 million is a serious chunk. That’s 10 times more than the number of Jewish people murdered in the holocaust. I also would bet WAY more than ancient Israel and Judea sacrificed.

For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature. Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due.” (Romans 1:26–27)

as Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities around them in a similar manner to these, having given themselves over to sexual immorality and gone after strange flesh, are set forth as an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.” (Jude 7)

Sexual Immorality - Family Radio 316

Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body.” (1 Corinthians 6:18)

How often did we see the celebratory approval of homosexuality or transgenderism? So much so, that one can NOT turn on a TV (Idiot Tube) without having this thrown in your face. It’s all the time and everywhere in the mainstream. Worse, it’s celebrated. I refer you back to Romans 1:32. Thus as a nation, we have embraced this as normal.

But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come:” (2 Timothy 3:1) Without a doubt I believe us to be in the last of the last days. If not quite there, then remarkably close.

For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,” (2 Timothy 3:2) Check all those boxes. Of course, these are not new and unique to our present day. However, these are mainstream norms of the present day.

unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good,” (2 Timothy 3:3) The last year had this on full display. The amount of hatred out there is seething with venom. From rioters burning, pillaging, beating elderly with baseball bats, and despising law and authority. Not to mention slander becoming a norm. Fake news, anyone?

traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God,” (2 Timothy 3:4)  Just look at the junk fed to our teens and young adults. The pleasures of life outweigh all. Our youth have become the “It’s all about me” generation, totally rejecting any form of guidance from their parents (or any authority), even to the point of betrayal

having a form of godliness but denying its power. (2 Timothy 3:5a) Just look how apostate the church has become. They much rather conform to the world than to God. Notice how they have a form of godliness but in all actuality, they have no power. They are dead in their sins and don’t even know it. Sadly, this is most of mainstream Christianity.  Nelson’s Study notes word this well: A form of godliness is an outward appearance of reverence for God. Denying its power describes religious activity that is not connected to a living relationship with Jesus Christ. As time progresses, people would begin to participate in religious activities that are empty. Their activities have nothing to do with a true relationship with God or with individual faith in Jesus Christ. {Radmacher, E. D., Allen, R. B., & House, H. W. (1997). The Nelson Study Bible: New King James Version (2 Ti 3:5). Nashville: T. Nelson Publishers}.

It is this failing that is MOST disturbing. You may not know this, but we are amid a full-blown apostasy. There were some internal polls conducted by Lifeway on behalf of Ligonier ministries (State of Theology) last September where it cited: 22% of US Evangelicals believe in “gender fluidity” rather than that people have a God-given gender that is either male or female. Really now? That is Evangelicals who obviously have not opened their bibles in years. Not to mention when you filter the poll to all professed” Christians” those percentages skyrocket.  Here is a link to the [State of Theology poll] Go to the Data Explorer part and play around with the filters to look at the internals. I would say nearly 75% (Just a guess on practical experience) of professed “Christians” are apostates. It is getting worse as the years go by. To be sure, always there has only ever been a true remnant. Just as the Lord said: “Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.” (Matthew 7:13–14)

Trans Sanity: Perversion, Confusion and a Depraved Mind | VirtueOnline – The Voice for Global Orthodox Anglicanism

Brethren, I believe God is giving our nation over to depravity. He removes His restraint and lets people have/do whatever they want. With a church that is compromised and lawlessness going out of control. It will not be long until we totally collapse as a nation. Just look at the next generation. I do not think any free society would last under the indoctrinated social policies they hold as values. (Read Socialism) Freedom comes with one requirement. It is to do the right thing when nobody’s watching. Since we overall as a nation fail at that, we are not going to maintain freedom.

God is Love to be sure. However, God is Holy and lawful. His Wrath is like a huge rubber band pulled back so far and ready to snap. I urge you all to be prepared and make sure you have oil in your lamps.

Make sure you are not a “Nominal Christian” Test yourself to see if you are in the faith.  Examine yourselves as to whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Do you not know yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you?—unless indeed you are disqualified.” (2 Corinthians 13:5)  If you fail this test, turn to Jesus Now! You are not dead yet!

There can be nothing more horrific than to hear this: “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’” (Matthew 7:21–23)

If you are Saved and struggling. Repent and recommit to the Lord. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” (1 John 1:9)

Here I am (Answering Gods Call)

Considering how crazy 2020 has been and the world seemingly heading into a darker 2021, many of us (believers) are on an emotionally draining roller-coaster ride. To be honest, I have been at peace and calm during these chaotic days.  Even though, admittedly I am probably the worst believer there is (Paul might argue he was worse). Almighty God still calls upon me, as He does YOU.

I have most recently been exhorting us all to “Sharpen our sWORD”. It’s quite easy to get overwhelmed by the world to lose sight of the Lord and starve ourselves from His word by not reading our Bibles. I am guilty of this as I’m sure some of you are. The thing about that is we are at war. We have always been at war; this is nothing new to the current events of the day. Perhaps for some of us that live in a relative comfort, do not suffer persecution, and are free to share the Gospel (for now), we have been oblivious to the evils of the world. I think that 2020 has served as a wake-up call to many dormant believers. The reality of the last days approaching is starting to sting as time flows onward to “The Day of the LORD”

God calls each of us to many different ministries. We are all different parts of ONE Body. For one, every single believer is called (Commanded) to share the Good News of Salvation in the Messiah, Jesus Christ:

And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.  Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen. (Matthew 28:18-20)

God also calls each of us to unique duties, tasks, and ministries. In these areas we must always be ready for action and prepared. Also, be sure of God’s will and timing for whatever He calls you to. Take Moses for example. Moses knew deep inside he was to aide his Hebrew brothers, yet long before God called him, he acted by killing the Egyptian:

Now it came to pass in those days, when Moses was grown, that he went out to his brethren and looked at their burdens. And he saw an Egyptian beating a Hebrew, one of his brethren. So he looked this way and that way, and when he saw no one, he killed the Egyptian and hid him in the sand. And when he went out the second day, behold, two Hebrew men were fighting, and he said to the one who did the wrong, “Why are you striking your companion?” Then he said, “Who made you a prince and a judge over us? Do you intend to kill me as you killed the Egyptian?” So Moses feared and said, “Surely this thing is known!” (Exodus 2:11-14)

Even though the LORD would call Moses to deliver His people Moses acted in his will (the flesh) not God’s will. It took forty more years before the LORD called Moses from a burning bush:

So when the LORD saw that he turned aside to look, God called to him from the midst of the bush and said, “Moses, Moses!” And he said, “Here I am.” (Exodus 3:4)

Moses replied, “Here I am” In Hebrew it is (הנני) Hineni. It is the same reply several others responded to the LORD with:

  • Abraham: Now it came to pass after these things that God tested Abraham, and said to him, “Abraham!” And he said, “Here I am.” (Genesis 22:1)
  • Jacob: Then the Angel of God spoke to me in a dream, saying, ‘Jacob.’ And I said, ‘Here I am.‘ (Genesis 31:11)
  • Samuel: that the LORD called Samuel. And he answered, “Here I am!” (1 Samuel 3:4)
  • Isaiah: Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying: “Whom shall I send, And who will go for Us?” Then I said, “Here am I! Send me.” (Isaiah 6:8)
  •  Ananias: Now there was a certain disciple at Damascus named Ananias; and to him the Lord said in a vision, “Ananias.” And he said, “Here I am, Lord.” (Acts 9:10) The Koine Greek used here is ιδου εγω, the same words used by the Septuagint (Koine Greek Old Testament) in all the above OT verses.

I encourage you all to study the above text further. You’ll notice that many times the person that replied “Here I am” obeyed despite not wanting to do the task or “Carry their Cross” so to speak.  Hineni means much more than simply “I am present”. It is a response to readiness to obey, much like a soldier when he replies “YES SIR”, when called by his officer to run a satchel charge into an enemy bunker complex braving a storm of bullets. The Soldier replies to the call, he obeys the orders, and he carries out his mission (calling). He does so willingly despite not really wanting to do the task. After all, what normal person would really want to brave bullets and recklessly risk death?

My Friends at One for Israel put it well:

There is a powerful word in Hebrew that sums up three words in English. The word is Hineni (הנני), which means “Here I am!” But you’ve got to watch out how you say it, because it is a way of expressing total readiness to give oneself – it’s an offer of total availability.

When God called out to Moses from the burning bush, Moses replied, “Hineni!” And you know what assignment he was given, and what happened next. When God approached Abraham to ask him to offer his only son as a sacrifice, Abraham responded, “Hineni!” not knowing what God was about to ask. God called out to the young boy Samuel three times before Samuel finally responded, “Hineni! I’m listening!” Many hundreds of years later, when God asked who would go for him in Isaiah 6, and the prophet willingly offered himself with a cry of “Hineni!” Send me!”

It can be used by family members, ready to be fully available and ready to pay attention, or ready to obey instructions. A bit like turning up and reporting for duty. Some translations include a “Behold” in the “here am I” statement, emphasising that they are present and ready for action. It is often children saying it as an expression of readiness to submit to their parents’ requests, although not exclusively.

It is, of course, the appropriate way to respond to God whenever he calls. His wish should be our command.

But God often says it of himself, when announcing what he is going to do. Often they are very gracious acts that cost him dearly. Interestingly, the very first one is bringing the flood – we cannot imagine how much that must have hurt him to do. But God also says “Hineni” when he is announcing a covenant he will make, the brunt of which he would always end up bearing. It appears many times in the prophetic writings, often translated, “Behold, I will…” But it is more like, “Behold! Here I am, doing this thing!”

God is our ever-present help, as David reminds us in Psalm 46, and there are multiple times throughout scripture where we read the question, “What can I do for you?” As ridiculous as it might seem, God actually makes himself available to us, and has shown that he is ready to pay the highest cost – even the life of his only Son. He invites us to share our requests and needs with him, and is always listening to our cry. “Hineni” – “Here I am”, the Great I Am stoops to assure us. He hears us, he sees us, he knows our struggle, and he is always there. He is mighty, he is our rescuer, and the dread warrior by our side. He promises to listen to our prayers and to answer, according to his will – the very best and perfect decision will be made.

There is a verse buried in the David and Jonathan saga, in which Jonathan promises his beleaguered best friend, “Tell me what your soul desires, and I will do it for you” (1 Sam 20:4). It caught my attention, because it is the same kind of devoted readiness as the shout of “Hineni!” Sometimes, I believe that the Lord would whisper this in our ear. As breathtaking as that might sound, it happens! God says it to Solomon, and Yeshua says it to people that he met in his earthly ministry sometimes. “What would you like me to do for you?”

But then, I thought that I wanted to ask the Lord the same question: “What is on your heart, Lord? What do you desire? And I will do whatever you ask”. Knowing God, that is a dangerous promise to make. He does ask people to do some pretty wild things. But it’s always totally worth it.

God has already shown his great willingness, devotion, and availability to us as was perfectly demonstrated on the cross. He is permanently listening to whatever we have to say or ask for, but do we shrink back from unconditionally responding to his call and his requests of us?

This calls for love. This calls for devotion. Availability, and willingness to sacrifice for the other. God is devoted to us, but will he find unconditional devotion and readiness to pay the cost in us? What if God was to call your name out loud today? Are you ready to offer yourself to his service, not even knowing what it might be? We don’t have to wait until we hear an audible call, we can just report for duty as we come into his presence, and tell him we’re ready to do his will. Ready for action, present and correct.

Here I am, Lord! Hineni! Send me! [Source]

God may soon be calling YOU. Will you answer “Hineni {Here I am}” ~OR~ will God get…. I’m sorry the person you’re trying to reach is unavailable. Please leave a message [BEEP]…

The time to sharpen your sword is NOW!

  1. Be prepared.  Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching. (2 Timothy 4:2). Read HIS Word, be fed and sharp.
  2. Expect sacrifice. I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.  And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. (Romans 12:1-2) If you fail, rally yourself, repent and press on.
  3. Expect trial and remain focused.  Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil. Cling to what is good.  Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honor giving preference to one another;  not lagging in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord;  rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation, continuing steadfastly in prayer;  distributing to the needs of the saints, given to hospitality. (Romans 12:9-13) Always keep your eyes on Jesus. Never forget to love one another as He loved us.

When He calls will you answer HINENI?

Shalom,

Brian

It’s Getting Dark Out There…

The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it. (John 1:5)

Over the course of the last month, I have had to talk believers off the ledge over current events. Even my wife has had an extraordinary amount of anxiety from worldly events to the point of having nightmares. Strangely I have had a strong sense of calm and security through these last several weeks. My personal life surely has had its fair share of tribulation. Yet, in knowing that GOD is in control and on the throne, I have my peace.

Has “Americanity” (Christian America) gotten so crass to the point of rejecting solid biblical precepts. We have 66 books that answer who we are, who made us, right and wrong, how to deal with circumstances, righteous, sin, punishment, salvation, and so forth. We know there is no other name under heaven in which salvation comes. “And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved.” (Acts 4:12) And that name is the name of Jesus Christ.

Let’s see what our Lord says concerning belief in Him:

“If the world hates you, you know that it has hated Me before it hated you.

“If you were of the world, the world would love its own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, because of this the world hates you. “Remember the word that I said to you, ‘A slave is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you; if they kept My word, they will keep yours also. “But all these things they will do to you for My name’s sake, because they do not know the One who sent Me.  (John 15:18-21)

“Blessed are you when people insult you and persecute you, and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of Me. “Rejoice and be glad, for your reward in heaven is great; for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you. (Matthew 5:11-12)

“Do not think that I came to bring peace on the earth; I did not come to bring peace, but a sword. “For I came to SET A MAN AGAINST HIS FATHER, AND A DAUGHTER AGAINST HER MOTHER, AND A DAUGHTER-IN-LAW AGAINST HER MOTHER-IN-LAW; and A MAN’S ENEMIES WILL BE THE MEMBERS OF HIS HOUSEHOLD. “He who loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me; and he who loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me. “And he who does not take his cross and follow after Me is not worthy of Me. “He who has found his life will lose it, and he who has lost his life for My sake will find it. (Matthew 10:34-39)

As you can see, we are promised tribulation and persecution. I’m actually looking forward to the dark days coming upon us. WHAT?!? Are you mad Brian?!?  Well, No. Do I mean I look forward to being persecuted? ABSOLUTELY NOT! I do not wish that upon myself or anyone for that matter. What I look forward to is the yearning of souls seeking someone to save them. They don’t know it yet but, many will be meeting their Salvation in Jesus mainly due to the fact of misery and dark times.

These dark days coming, AND they ARE coming. They will prepare the hearts of many to receive the Lord. These days will also separate the Saint’s from the Aint’s, to be sure. I’m really put off by shallow false teachers telling me I haven’t faith that’s why I’m not perfectly secure, healthy, and/or wealthy. Or going to the typical Americanity Church sitting in a sea of 2000 people for one hour then retiring to a suburban $300,000 home, saying how blessed I am. Being taught that all is well and if it is unwell, you’ll be Raptured away before anything bad happens at all. I’m not diminishing the rapture.  Because God will not pour his wrath out on His people during the great tribulation, it DOESN’T imply we will not suffer persecution and death by the hands of those that hate God, as well as the National Judgements God will impose (60 million reasons) Prior to the Rapture…  Another false teaching, I tire of: “God wants nothing but the best for His children and will not allow bad to befall them. Only by lack of belief and faith does bad happen to Christians”. Tell that to the Syrian Christian being crucified by ISIS a few years back. Tell that the Coptic’s having their heads removed, or the Chinese brethren being tortured for not renouncing Jesus. Really, by those standards Paul must have had lousy faith and belief, for all his suffering and hardship.

Embrace the coming persecution as it will refine us: And not only this, but we also exult in our tribulations, knowing that tribulation brings about perseverance; and perseverance, proven character; and proven character, hope; and hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us. (Romans 5:3-5)

Brethren, I don’t want to go all doom and gloom on you all. Quite the contrary, I hope you press into to the Lord and His word with renewed vigor. I firmly believe the Republic is OVER (I grieve that). I believe that a darkness will consume America as well as the entire world.

A light will shine BRIGHTEST when it is dark. We brethren, we are the ones to carry the Light of Yeshua. It is time, NOW. Not tomorrow, but NOW!

“You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden; nor does anyone light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on the lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. “Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven. (Matthew 5:14-16)

Get your light and get in the fight!

Shalom,

Brian
