“Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden? And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die. And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil. And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat” (Genesis 3:1-6).
God has given us everything we need to know in His Word. Any doubts about His Word come from the evil one. He whispers as he did to Eve “Did God really say…..” We must learn to discern the enemy of our souls. His mission is to lie, destroy, accuse and if he can – pull us away from the truth of God’s Word.
“Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ” (2 Corinthians 10:5)
WE WRESTLE NOT WITH FLESH AND BLOOD
I am as guilty as the next person when it comes to blaming the physical powers that be for the craziness going on in our world. But then God reminds me that we are fighting a spiritual battle with our enemy the devil. When I realize this, it brings everything into proper perspective. ISIS = the devil. Our president and his hatred for Christians and Jews = the devil. The U.N. and their destructive initiatives to bring about the NWO = the devil.
Brethren, we are struggling against Satan himself. We know that God is more powerful, but we should never dismiss the power of the evil one on this earth. Prayer and reading the Word are essential if we are to be in this battle.
“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints” (Ephesians 6: 12-18)
WE MUST UNDERSTAND THAT GOD’S PROPHETIC WORD WILL BE FULFILLED
There are many things which are happening and will happen while we are still on the earth; and these things are dreadful. If the Lord tells us through His Word that certain things must happen – they WILL happen. We may not like these things, but we must trust our heavenly Father. He will never leave us nor forsake us. Stay close to Him in prayer and in the reading of His Word.
WE SHOULD BE BIBLICALLY CORRECT
We as children of God should reject all political correctness when it is in total opposition to Biblical correctness. Abortion and Gay Marriage are two prime examples of rejecting that which is considered politically correct, and replacing it with what we know is the truth from God’s Word. We must reject “Unity of religions” which tells the world that there are more ways to get to heaven than through Christ. We know that no one will enter heaven without Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. We reject even the notion of joining with the RCC. There are many Evangelicals who are buying into this devilish lie. They have no discernment.
WE NEED TO BE READY FOR WHAT IS COMING
The Word clearly tells us that in the last days there will be persecution of those who love the Lord as never seen before on the earth.
“And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world? And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. All these are the beginning of sorrows. Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name’s sake” (Matthew 24:3-9).
Brethren, read God’s Word every day, so that your mind will go back to truth when the evil one whispers his lies. Pray for one another. Cling to Jesus and His Word.
It will all be over soon, and we will be with Him forevermore.
