The War Grinds On :: By Daymond Duck

From raptureready.com

I started this article on Dec. 21, 2023 (the 76th day of the Israel-Hamas war and 21 days after Hamas broke the ceasefire and the war resumed).

I have the impression that the leaders of Hamas and Muslims everywhere are begging world leaders to pressure Israel to stop the destruction of Hamas.

Several Arab nations have tried to get the UN Security Council to impose a permanent ceasefire; Germany, the UK, France, and others have called for a sustainable ceasefire; U.S. Pres. Biden, U.S. Sec. of State Blinken, several members of the U.S. House of Representatives and the U.S. Senate have criticized Israel’s tactics; many in the mainstream media and Hollywood have been critical of Israel; people have demonstrated against Israel in several countries, etc.

Nevertheless, on Dec. 19, 2023, Israeli Prime Min. Netanyahu said:

  • Whoever thinks that we will stop is detached from reality. We will not stop the fighting until all of the goals that we have set are achieved: The elimination of Hamas, the release of our hostages, and the removal of the threat from Gaza.
  • All Hamas terrorists, from the first to the last, are dead men walking. They have only two possibilities: Surrender or die.

So, despite the antisemitism, criticism, and disapproval, the war grinds on.

The war might end sooner if world leaders would admit the truth, recognize that Hamas is causing the death of innocent people by hiding behind human shields, stop trying to protect Hamas, and get behind Israel, but that is not likely to happen, and forcing Israel to be more careful may even cause the war to last longer.

Here are some reports that appear to be significant:

One, concerning wars and rumors of wars (specifically the Israeli-Hamas war): on Dec. 20, 2023, it was reported that Israel has discovered a large tunnel network underneath the homes of Senior Hamas leaders in an affluent neighborhood near Gaza City.

Senior Hamas leaders used it as an underground headquarters, for shelter, to travel to other locations before coming up above ground, to travel to some of the hospitals, to surface at a hospital and get an ambulance to travel to other above-ground locations, and more.

The Israeli military is calling this large underground network “Commander’s Square,” and they say it was operating as a “terror city.”

It reportedly contained descending spiral stairs, an elevator, apartments, offices, meeting rooms, living quarters, surveillance cameras, ventilation systems, and heavy blast doors that were used by some Hamas leaders.

Some areas had food products, electricity, water, and weapons.

Israel has posted pictures and videos of the complex.

One military official said Israeli troops will continue to go after Hamas above ground or underground.

(More. On Dec. 21, 2023, it was reported that Israel blew up the tunnels.)

(My opinion: Hamas can run and hide, but Jehovah knows where they are and how to get them. Calling on world leaders to protect them is a waste of breath if Jehovah wants Israel to wipe them out. Think about it: Hamas has spent years building miles of elaborate tunnels to hide from Israeli aircraft, and it was a waste of time, labor, materials, and money. “Commander’s Square” was destroyed in one day.)

Here is a link with a picture that shows the massive explosion that happened when “Commander’s Square” was destroyed.

Two, the Bible teaches that there will be wars and rumors of wars at the end of the age (Matt. 24:6), that the Promised Land will be divided, and God will respond by dragging the nations into the Battle of Armageddon at the end of the Tribulation Period (Joel 3:2; Rev. 19:11-21).

On Dec. 22, 2023, the UN Security Council passed a resolution requesting Israel and Hamas to cooperate with a UN coordinator to ensure that humanitarian aid reaches the Palestinians without delay.

There was no mention of a ceasefire in the resolution.

Prior to the vote, there was a report that said the resolution also:

  • Calls for the immediate and unconditional release of the hostages.
  • Demands that all parties to the conflict comply with their obligations to international law.
  • Reiterates the UN Security Council’s commitment to the Two-State Solution (the division of the Promised Land).
  • Stresses the importance of unifying the Gaza Strip with the West Bank and giving the Palestinian Authority “a governance role.”

(More: A few hours after the UN Security Council vote, Israel announced that it is expanding the war, so the war grinds on.)

(More: On Dec. 25, 2023, a writer for the Jewish News Syndicate (JNS) said before the Palestinians can govern themselves, Israel must get rid of the Hamas terrorists that control Gaza. This is something the UN, the international community, and the Arabs should have done, but they did not do it.)

(More: On Dec. 25, 2023, U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham said, “I would not invest 15 cents in a future Palestine where Hamas is still standing.”)

Three, concerning a departing from the faith at the end of the age and the establishment of a one-world false religion: in a LifeSiteNews.com article posted on Dec. 21, 2023, Roman Catholic Archbishop Vigano said Pope Francis’ recent approval of blessings for homosexual couples shows that Francis is “a servant of Satan.”

Vigano called the pope’s hierarchy “false shepherds.”

Vigano mentioned two things that he thinks Pope Francis wants:

  • The damnation of homosexual couples, and
  • To provoke Catholics to abandon his church and set him free to transform his church into “the concubine of the New World Order.”

(My opinion: I have pointed out before that the pope’s age and health make it unlikely that he is the False Prophet. But if he is not the False Prophet, he is most surely a forerunner of the False Prophet. Pope Francis has clearly departed from the Scriptures on several issues.)

Here is a link to Vigano’s article.

https://www.lifesitenews.com/opinion/abp-vigano-bergoglios-approval-of-blessings-for-homosexual-couples-shows-he-is-a-servant-of-satan/?utm_source=daily-usa-2023-12-22&utm_medium=email

Four, concerning the decline of America and a borderless world government: on Dec. 18-19, 2023, U.S. Customs and Border Protection personnel processed 26,751 illegal immigrants.

26,751 illegal immigrants were the most ever in two days, and the number would have been higher because there were more illegal immigrants waiting to be processed, but Customs and Border Protection personnel did not have enough people to process more than they did.

Five, concerning wars and rumors of wars (Psa. 83, Isa. 17, Ezek. 38-39): on Dec. 26, 2023, Israel’s Defense Min. Gallant told Israel’s political leaders, “We are in a multi-front war and are coming under attack from seven theatres: Gaza, Lebanon, Syria, Judea and Samaria (West Bank), Iraq, Yemen and Iran. We have already responded and taken action in six of these theatres.”

Out of the seven attackers, the one group that Israel has not acted against is Yemen.

The six that are attacking Israel are agreeing more and more with the list of nations that the Bible says will attack Israel at the end of the age.

Gallant added, “We have already responded and acted in six of these areas, and I say here in the clearest way: Anyone who acts against us is a potential target, there is no immunity for anyone.”

As the war grinds on, prophecy is moving closer and closer to the prophesied scenario.

(More: On Dec. 25, 2023, an Israeli strike near Damascus killed a high-ranking Iranian commander. On Dec. 27, 2023, Iran vowed that Israel will pay for that.)

Six, concerning the Battle of Gog and Magog and the destruction of Damascus: on Jan. 4, 2024, Iranian Pres. Raisi will visit Turkey to discuss three things:

  • The situation in Syria.
  • The situation in Gaza.
  • Improving the relationship between Turkey and Iran.

(More: On Dec. 27, 2023, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) reported that Iran has increased its production of highly enriched uranium.)

Seven, concerning corruption in the UN: on Dec. 27, 2023, Prime Min. Netanyahu said,

  • For too long, international officials have been deflecting blame onto Israel to cover up for the fact that they are covering up for Hamas. In failing to condemn Hamas for hijacking aid and failing to condemn it for waging war out of hospitals, they have been complicit partners in Hamas’s human shields strategy. They have let the world down. We are demanding global accountability, and now we are leading by example. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced that visa requests by UN employees will no longer be granted automatically and will instead be considered on a case-by-case basis. Israel will stop working with those who cooperate with the Hamas terror regime’s propaganda machine, and we urge our allies to do the same and stand up for basic integrity in the global institutions that should serve, and not sabotage, international security.

Israel believes the UN was collaborating with Hamas against Israel – overlooking the fact that Hamas was oppressing the Palestinian people, stealing foreign aid, food, fuel, etc.; and that is one of the reasons why the Israeli-Hamas war broke out.

Here are some daily updates on the Israel-Hamas war.

Wednesday, Dec. 20, 2023 (Day 75): The twentieth day of the resumed war.

  • Israel has come close to catching Hamas leaders Yahya Sinwar and Mohammad Deif, but they escaped through tunnels.
  • The U.S. and its allies are considering a military attack on the Houthis in Yemen following a Houthi capture of another ship in the Red Sea.

Thursday, Dec. 21, 2023 (Day 76): The twenty-first day of the resumed war.

  • Israel said they will not agree to another pause unless some of the hostages are released.
  • Hamas said they will not swap any more hostages for Palestinian prisoners unless Israel agrees to end its attacks.
  • Israel has repeatedly warned the international community (UN, EU, U.S, etc.) that Israel will act if the international community does not get Hezbollah away from Israel’s border with Lebanon.

Friday, Dec. 22, 2023 (Day 77): The twenty-second day of the resumed war.

  • Because of the expanding war, Israel urged the residents of central Gaza to leave and go south.
  • A hostage with dual citizenship (U.S.-Israel) died in captivity.
  • Iran is providing the Houthis in Yemen with tracking information that allows them to attack and seize ships in the Red Sea.
  • After Hezbollah fired 20 rockets into one location in Israel and several more at other locations, Israel struck several targets in Lebanon.

Saturday, Dec. 23, 2023 (Day 78): The twenty-third day of the resumed war.

  • Israel said it has arrested 200 Hamas and Islamic Jihad terrorists in the last week (700 since the war began). Many were hiding among civilians and surrendered without a fight.
  • Israel said it has achieved full operational control in northern Gaza.
  • Iran threatened to close the Mediterranean Sea if the U.S. and Israel do not stop their crimes in Gaza.
  • Hamas said they have lost contact with a group that was holding 5 hostages, and they believe Israel may have killed them.
  • Israel is under fire from Lebanon, Syria, and Gaza (wars and rumors of wars).
  • The U.S. House of Representatives Foreign Affairs Committee announced plans to investigate the UN Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) for its alleged ties to Hamas.

Sunday, Dec. 24, 2023 (Day 79) The twenty-fourth day of the resumed war.

  • Israel found 5 dead bodies of hostages (3 soldiers and 2 civilians) in a tunnel.
  • Israeli jets struck a Hezbollah command center in Lebanon.
  • Israel started constructing a half-mile buffer zone inside the Gaza Strip to be occupied by Israeli troops to separate the Palestinians from Israel.

Monday, Dec. 25, 2023 (Day 80): The twenty-fifth day of the resumed war.

  • Hamas Leader Yahya Sinwar said Hamas will not be subject to the conditions of occupation (proposals to establish a different government in Gaza).
  • An Israeli strike near Damascus, Syria, killed a high-ranking Iranian official.
  • Hezbollah rockets struck several locations in northern Israel.
  • Israeli jets conducted “wide-scale” strikes in Lebanon.
  • Netanyahu said the war in Gaza isn’t close to being finished.
  • The U.S. struck several Iranian-backed terrorist groups in Iraq that have attacked U.S. troops many times since the Israel-Hamas war began.
  • A vehicle owned by an Israeli that was taken hostage on Oct. 7, 2023, was found at a hospital in Gaza.

Tuesday, Dec. 26, 2023 (Day 81): The twenty-sixth day of the resumed war.

  • Israel started arresting leaders of Palestinian terrorist groups in the West Bank (inside Israel).
  • An anti-tank missile fired by Hezbollah in Lebanon hit a church in Israel and injured a man who was guarding the building. While Israeli troops were treating him, Hezbollah fired a second anti-tank missile at the church, injuring 9 Israeli soldiers.
  • Netanyahu said if Hamas survives, more war and bloodshed will be guaranteed, and the expectation that the PA will demilitarize Gaza is a pipe dream.

So, after more than 80 days of intense fighting, the war grinds on.

FYI: God does not send anyone to Hell (all of us are born with a sin nature and destined to go to Hell because we sin), but God has provided a way (Jesus) for everyone to go to Heaven (and He is the only way to get there; John 14:6).

Finally, are you Rapture Ready?

If you want to be rapture ready and go to heaven, you must be born again (John 3:3). God loves you, and if you have not done so, sincerely admit that you are a sinner; believe that Jesus is the virgin-born, sinless Son of God who died for the sins of the world, was buried, and raised from the dead; ask Him to forgive your sins, cleanse you, come into your heart and be your Saviour; then tell someone that you have done this.

A Big Explosion :: By Daymond Duck

From raptureready.com

On Dec. 6, 2023, UN Sec. Gen. Guterres invoked Article 99 of the UN Charter, which allows him to ask the UN Security Council to restore the ceasefire between Israel and Hamas because the war is threatening “peace and security” on earth.

On Dec. 8, 2023, officials from Turkey, Jordan, Egypt, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia visited Washington to urge U.S. support for a ceasefire when it came up for a vote in the UN Security Council.

When the issue came up for a vote later that day, the U.S. vetoed it.

Iran’s Foreign Minister responded by warning that America’s veto could lead to an uncontrollable explosion in the Middle East.

He said a big explosion could be coming with Lebanon and Yemen (Hezbollah and the Houthis) already involved and more countries poised to join.

Some might say his warning is about wars and rumors of wars, and Bible prophecy teachers may be thinking of Psalm 83, Isaiah. 17, Ezekiel 38-39, etc.

Is a big explosion coming?

The answer is the Bible teaches that there will be several big explosions in the latter days and latter years (before and during the Tribulation Period).

Is that shaping up?

The best answer may be that it sure looks like it.

More: On Dec. 20, 2023, an Israeli spokesperson said:

  • Hezbollah has so far fired more than 1,000 different types of ammunition, rockets, missiles, drones, mortars, and others toward Israel since Oct. 8.
  • Everyone knows Hezbollah is a proxy of Iran.
  • Israel is closer than ever to opening a new frontline in what people view as a battle for the existence of the Jewish nation and its people.

Here are some reports on events that could relate to Bible prophecy.

One, concerning Muslim violence in the last days: a Dec. 11, 2023, report shows the following events in the West Bank of Israel since the Israeli-Hamas war began on Oct. 7, 2023 (in about 9 ½ weeks):

  • One Israeli soldier killed.
  • One border patrol agent killed.
  • One Israeli civilian killed.
  • 52 Israelis injured (569 cases of rock-throwing; 70 shootings; 143 Molotov cocktails thrown at people; 287 attacks with explosives, 2 car rammings, etc.).

In addition to this, 15 members of Israel’s security forces were injured when they tried to arrest the Muslim attackers.

Despite these facts, the U.S., UK, UN, and others criticize Israelis for their treatment of the Muslims on the West Bank.

(More: On Dec. 15, 2023, Hamas fired several rockets toward Jerusalem that were intercepted by Iron Dome defensive missiles. Video footage shows that one of the rockets nearly landed on the Dome of the Rock on the Temple Mount.)

Two, concerning corruption in Washington and the decline of America: on Dec. 13, 2023, the U.S. House of Representatives voted along party lines to formalize an impeachment inquiry into why China, Russia, Ukraine, and others were sending millions of dollars to the Biden family.

The Bidens and most Democrats say they have done nothing wrong, but Hunter has defied a legal Congressional subpoena to testify in private, the U.S. Dept. of Justice has urged witnesses to refuse to appear for questioning, Pres. Biden has refused to turn over many of the documents Congress has requested, etc.

If the Bidens have done nothing wrong, why are they hindering the investigation?

(My opinion: There is something rotten in the White House.)

(More: The Bidens and many Democrats constantly charge that the wealthy do not pay their fair share of taxes. At least two members of Pres. Biden’s immediate family, his son Hunter and his daughter Ashley, are in trouble with the law right now for not paying their taxes.)

Three, according to the Bible, God told Abraham He will bless those that bless Israel and curse those that curse Israel (Gen. 12:3).

Concerning Israel’s war with Hamas: on Dec. 12, 2023, a 53-year-old politician told Turkey’s parliament, “Israel will not escape the wrath of Allah.”

He barely got the words out of his mouth before he collapsed and was taken to the hospital, where his condition was diagnosed as “extremely critical and serious.”

(More: On Dec. 15, 2023, it was reported that he died.)

(My opinion: I do not know, but I wonder if Jehovah was warning Turkey to leave Israel alone. This I do know: Turkey’s military will be destroyed when it attacks Israel in the Battle of Gog and Magog, and when the Antichrist confirms a covenant with many for peace in the Middle East, world leaders will declare peace and safety; “then sudden destruction will come upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape” (Ezek. 38, I Thess. 5:3). Perhaps, other world leaders should be careful about criticizing Israel for defending itself.)

Four, concerning world government: I recently referred to the UN as the United Nothing.

In 2006, the UN passed Resolution 1701, which established a demilitarized zone between the Blue Line and the Litani River in Lebanon.

It allows Lebanon to have troops between the Litani River and Israel’s border, but it forbids any other group to have armed troops in that area.

Hezbollah has constantly ignored it, and the UN has never done anything about it.

On Dec. 11, 2023, Israel told the U.S. that Israel can no longer accept the UN doing nothing about Hezbollah troops in the demilitarized zone.

An Israeli official said if Hezbollah does not get out of the demilitarized zone and go back to the other side of the Litani River, Israel will go to war with Hezbollah when its war with Hamas is over.

Netanyahu said, “First of all, we will win in the south, and then we will deal with the north. As a first step, we will push Hezbollah beyond the Litani River, and later, we will also have to take care of the organization itself.”

(My opinion: Israel told world leaders they can avoid another war by enforcing UN Resolution 1701, but doing nothing means there will be another war after Israel takes care of Hamas. I cannot predict what will happen, but it is important to remember that Hezbollah has troops in Syria, and Hezbollah is financed by Iran. A war with Hezbollah could very well lead to the destruction of Damascus and to the Battle of Gog and Magog soon after the Israeli-Hamas war is over.)

Five, concerning a statue of the Antichrist that can talk and order everyone on earth to take the Mark of the Beast or be killed during the Tribulation Period (Rev. 13:14-17): on Dec. 16, 2023, it was reported that CNN will launch the first-ever known AI generated TV news network in the U.S. next year (in 2024).

CNN Channel 1 will be a digital version of CNN that will use avatars (statues that look like people) to report the news instead of human news anchors.

Viewers will need to download an app to watch the news on their TV or mobile phone.

AI reporters will join preachers who are using AI to write and preach sermons and People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) who are using AI to rewrite Bible stories.

The lost are running out of time to be saved before the False Prophet builds an AI statue of the Antichrist.

Six, concerning the Mark of the Beast and the tracking of all buying and selling at the middle of the Tribulation Period: on Dec. 17, 2023, it was reported that multi-billionaire Bill Gates has launched an effort to require the citizens in 50 nations to have a digital ID, make digital payments that can be tracked and shared, and be in a social credit score system by 2028 or be excluded from society.

Gates’ effort is called the 50-in-5 campaign (50 nations in the next 5 years).

The World Health Organization (WHO) wants to link citizen’s healthcare records to a system like this, force people to be vaccinated, etc.

Pre-Trib Rapture prophecy teachers believe the Rapture will happen at least 3 ½ years before this kind of system goes global under the Antichrist and False Prophet.

(More: According to the same report, Russian Pres. Putin and his associates believe Klaus Schwab and his closest advisors are legitimate military targets because they are trying to seize power over everyone on earth. My opinion: It is a good point. If Trump can be prosecuted for illegally trying to seize power in the U.S., why cannot Schwab, Gates, and others be prosecuted for illegally trying to seize power in the U.S. and the rest of the world.)

Seven, concerning corruption in Washington and the decline of America: a little more than one week ago, on Dec. 10, 2023, it was reported that Iranian-backed terrorists have attacked U.S. troops in Syria and Iraq 92 times since the Israel-Hamas war began on Oct. 7, 2023.

On Dec. 15, 2023, it was reported that officials in the Biden administration have acknowledged that the Biden administration recently released billions of dollars of frozen Iranian funds and Iran has made two transactions with those funds.

The fact that Iranian-backed terrorists are attacking U.S. troops in Syria and Iraq and Biden has allowed Iran access to billions of dollars is good reason to question his mental state.)

Eight, concerning a falling away and a departing from the faith in the Church and the coming one-world false religion at the end of the age: on Dec. 18, 2023, Pope Francis released a document that allows Roman Catholic clergy to bless same-sex couples.

Francis is clearly ignoring the Scriptures and traditional Roman Catholic teachings, but none of that seems to matter to him (I Cor. 5:9-13; 6:9-11).

Some in the LGBTQ community are responding favorably, but some in the Roman Catholic Church are extremely disappointed with Pope Francis.

Nine, concerning an increase in the frequency and intensity of natural disasters at the end of the age: a 6.2 earthquake in China on Dec. 18, 2023, killed 127 people, injured more than 700, dozens are missing, and property damage is extensive.

(More: Also on Dec. 18, 2023, it was reported that some districts in southern India had received 37 inches of rain in the last 24 hours. Heavy rain this time of the year is not unusual, but 37 inches in 24 hours is unheard of, and the damage is extensive.)

Ten, concerning the decline of America and world government, some of the goals of the Biden administration are:

  • Slowly shut down all coal mines.
  • Kill about 100,000 head of cattle.
  • Restrict the amount of fertilizer farmers can use.
  • Reduce the amount of land that can be farmed, mined, and drilled for natural gas and oil.
  • Reduce the production of gas vehicles.
  • Shut down more of America’s electric grid and spend more on solar power.
  • Require U.S. citizens to have a global ID, global healthcare, etc.
  • Keep the U.S. border with Mexico wide open.
  • Employ 86,000 armed IRS agents to monitor citizens’ tax payments.

(More: On Dec. 19, 2023, Natural News posted the following: “Earlier in December, Sheriff Mark Lamb of Pinal County, Arizona, dropped a ‘truth bomb’ on a YouTube video post, revealing that individuals crossing the border illegally in Arizona are promptly awarded a $5,000 gift card upon entering the United States, along with cell phones and costly plane tickets, all of which are being paid for by the American taxpayers.”)

(My opinion: It is my understanding that Biden is seeking a way to convince voters that these are good policies, not bad policies that need to be corrected. If the voters do not wake up, many aspects of their lives are going to rapidly get worse. The Rapture will remove the saved before the worst hits, but those that are left behind will probably not survive what is coming (Matt. 24:22). We do not know the day or the hour, but we can know when it is getting close (Matt. 24:36, Luke 21:28, Heb. 10:25.))

Eleven, concerning deceit and a population reduction on earth at the end of the age: on Dec. 12, 2023, it was reported that several former officials in the Italian government are under investigation for murder because their e-mails show that they knew the Covid-19 vaccinations were killing citizens, but they ordered health officials to tell people they were safe and to give them to citizens anyway.

Here is a daily update on the Israel-Hamas war.

Thursday, Dec. 14, 2023 (Day 69): The fourteenth day of the resumed war.

  • A senior Hamas official called for violence against Israel’s allies (U.S., UK, etc.).
  • Israel put a bounty on the leaders of Hamas ($400,000 on Yahya Sinwar; $300,000 on Sinwar’s brother Muhammed; $200,000 on the commander of the Khan Yunis Battalion; and $100,000 on Hamas’ general military commander).
  • Netanyahu said, “We (the Israeli forces) are continuing until the end (of the war); there is no stopping us. I say this even given the great pain and the international pressure. Nothing will stop us; we will continue until the end, until victory, nothing less.”
  • A senior U.S. official said Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar’s days “are numbered. He has American blood on his hands, and he is holding American hostages. I think it is safe to say it doesn’t matter how long it takes… justice will be served.”

Friday, Dec. 15, 2023 (Day 70): The fifteenth day of the resumed war.

  • Several rockets (there were 31 alerts) were fired at Jerusalem, but the Iron Dome intercepted all of them.
  • The U.S. ordered one of its aircraft carriers and another warship to remain in the Mediterranean Sea for several more weeks (The U.S. has a total of 19 warships in the Mediterranean and the Red Sea at this time).
  • Israel’s military said they mistakenly killed 3 hostages.

Saturday, Dec. 16, 2023 (Day 71): The sixteenth day of the resumed war.

  • Israel and Hamas may be considering another hostage deal.
  • The U.S. intercepted 14 drones dispatched from Yemen toward the Red Sea.
  • More warships may soon be heading to the Red Sea to deal with the Houthis in Yemen.

Sunday, Dec. 17, 2023 (Day 72): The seventeenth day of the resumed war.

  • Israel found a tunnel next to its border with Gaza that is about 2 ½ miles long and large enough for a vehicle to drive through it.
  • Israel raided a hospital that Hamas was using as a command center; 90 terrorists surrendered; Israel captured a stash of weapons, documents, and communications; and some of the hospital workers admitted that they had concealed those items at the hospital.

Monday, Dec. 18, 2023 (Day 73): The eighteenth day of the resumed war.

  • Ten nations formed a coalition to protect ships from Houthi attacks in the Red Sea. (Note: This has nothing to do with the Ten Kings that will assist the Antichrist during the Tribulation Period.)

Tuesday, Dec. 19, 2023 (Day 74): The nineteenth day of the resumed war.

  • The UN Security Council will vote today on a resolution to limit the fighting in Gaza and dramatically increase aid to the Palestinians.
  • There were 59 alerts in Israeli towns and cities, including Tel Aviv, when Hamas launched a barrage of rockets into Israel.

Wednesday, Dec. 20, 2023 (Day 75): The twentieth day of the resumed war.

  • The head of a hospital in northern Gaza admitted that high-ranking Hamas military activists hid in his hospital to avoid being targeted by Israel. He said he knew 16 hospital staffers, including doctors, nurses, paramedics, and clerks, were also members of Hamas’ military wing.

From Daymond Duck:: Who Owns the Golan Heights?

From raptureready.com

In 1967, Egypt, Syria, and Jordan attacked Israel in what is called the 1967 War.

Israel captured the Golan Heights in 1967 and annexed them in 1981; Jews are living there today, and they are growing crops on them.

On Mar. 25, 2019, Pres. Trump recognized the Golan Heights as sovereign Israeli territory.

In June of 2019, to honor Pres. Trump for recognizing the Golan Heights as sovereign Israeli territory, Israel announced plans to build a community on the mountains and name it Trump Heights.

One year later, Israel budgeted the equivalent of about $2.3 million to build infrastructure and homes at Trump Heights.

Many nations (Syria, Russia, Turkey, Iran, and others) refused to recognize that the Golan Heights are part of Israel.

Their objection will probably play a role in the destruction of Damascus in one night (Isaiah 17) and the defeat of Russia, Turkey, Iran, and others in the Battle of Gog and Magog in the latter days and latter years (Ezek. 38-39).

The Bible says the nations around Israel will claim the mountains of Israel, slander Israel, and make God angry at the end of the age (Ezek. 36:4-12).

God added that He will be on Israel’s side; Israel will possess the mountains and grow crops on them.

On Nov. 27, 2023, the UN General Assembly adopted a resolution calling upon Israel to withdraw from the Syrian Golan Heights.

The problem that the UN, Syria, and all the others have is that God said the mountains are His (not Syria’s), and He will give them to Israel at the end of the age.

The world cannot liberate them because God has already liberated them and given them to Israel.

Who owns the Golan Heights?

The issue has been settled in heaven, and Israel’s enemies would be wise to accept what the Bible says.

Here are some recent reports that seem to relate to Bible prophecy.

One, concerning world government, a digital ID, and tracking everyone: on Dec. 6, 2023, Worthy Brief reported:

  • That the UN and some of its wealthy contributors hope to have everyone on earth in a digital ID system by 2030.
  • That Australia hopes to start enrolling its 26 million citizens in a digital ID system by the middle of 2024.
  • That Switzerland officials have approved a digital ID bill that they want to put into place in 2026.
  • That digital ID plans are progressing in many other nations.

Two, concerning pestilence at the end of the age and a population reduction: on Dec. 2, 2023, it was reported that a New Zealand government whistleblower has produced evidence that shows that more than 20% of New Zealand’s citizens have died since receiving Covid mRNA vaccinations.

Three, at some point following the Rapture, the Antichrist will confirm (strengthen) a peace treaty with many for seven years of peace in the Middle East (Dan. 9:27).

When the Antichrist confirms (strengthens) that covenant, world leaders will declare “peace and safety” (some translations say “peace and security”), and then sudden destruction (the Tribulation Period will come (I Thess. 5:1-3).

“Peace and safety” and “peace and security” are the same thing.

Many world leaders and prophecy teachers know that the Iranians and Palestinians have tried to thwart a peace treaty, and the Arabs have refused to negotiate a peace treaty until Israel meets the demands of the Palestinians.

Anyway, on Dec. 6, 2023, UN Sec. Gen. Guterres invoked Article 99 of the UN Charter, which allows him to ask the UN Security Council to restore the ceasefire between Israel and Hamas because the war is threatening “peace and security” on earth.

The UN Security Council met on Dec. 8, 2023, to discuss Mr. Guterres’ request, and the U.S. vetoed it.

(My opinion: A demand from the UN Security Council might bring a declaration of “peace and security” at some point in the future, but if it does, it will not produce peace and security on earth.)

Four, concerning a covenant of peace in the Middle East: on Dec. 8, 2023, officials from Turkey, Jordan, Egypt, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia went to Washington to try to get the U.S. to push a ceasefire in the Israel-Hamas war.

While there, they urged the U.S. and the international community to accelerate the two-state solution (a peace treaty to divide Israel and give East Jerusalem and the Temple Mount to the Palestinians) in the Middle East.

They want a peace treaty or an agreement to sign a peace treaty in one year.

Incidentally, it may or may not be significant, but most of these nations are mentioned in Psalm 83.

(My opinion: Israel is no longer seeking a peace treaty with the Palestinians. Israel is looking to establish a security zone in Gaza and to influence who governs Palestine.)

Five, concerning perilous times and wars and rumors of wars at the end of the age: on Dec. 10, 2023:

  • Israel and Hamas are fighting in Gaza.
  • Israel is striking Syrian and Iranian targets in Syria almost daily.
  • Iranian-backed Houthis in Yemen are constantly attacking ships in the Red Sea.
  • Hezbollah is firing rockets into Israel from Lebanon almost daily.
  • Iranian-backed terrorists have attacked U.S. troops in Syria and Iraq 92 times since the Israel-Hamas war began on Oct. 7, 2023.
  • Turkey and Iran have said they will not let Israel defeat Hamas.
  • Russia and Ukraine are fighting.
  • China is threatening Taiwan.

(More: On Dec. 12, 2023, Netanyahu said the PA is helping Hamas attack Jews in the West Bank of Israel, so Israel is now preparing for the possibility of war with the PA. If PA troops want to fight on the side of Hamas, Israel may go after the PA troops.)

(More: On Dec. 12, 2023, Israel told the U.S. that Hezbollah has stepped up its unprovoked attacks on Israel from Lebanon, so Israel has no choice but to step up its attacks on Hezbollah.)

(My opinion: It seems like the world needs a man with a plan, but according to the Bible, he will go forth conquering and to conquer, and things will get a lot worse.)

Here are some daily updates on Israel’s war with Hamas.

Wednesday, Dec. 6, 2023 (Day 61): The sixth day of the resumed war.

  • Israeli troops have the home of Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar surrounded, but he appears to be trying to hide himself.
  • Netanyahu said history has shown that UN forces do not demilitarize areas that are hostile to Israel, and the only force that will demilitarize an area that opposes Israel is the Israeli military.
  • Israeli forces have broken through the defenses of Shejaiya, Jbalia, and Khan Younis; Israel is destroying tunnels; Hamas is coming out to fight; and Israel is eliminating them.
  • Israel’s Defense Min. told Israelis who have evacuated their homes along Israel’s border with Lebanon that they will be allowed to return home “after Hezbollah forces are removed to the north of the Litani River, either through diplomatic means according to UN resolution 1701, or by force.” In my words, if the UN does not demilitarize the area according to resolution 1701, there will be another war, and Israel will do it.

Thursday, Dec. 7, 2023 (Day 62): The seventh day of the resumed war.

  • Fatah, the political party of PA Pres. Abbas (who is 88 yrs. old) is weak, divided, and unpopular with most Palestinians.
  • Israel has captured an abundance of detailed information on Hamas (their battle plans; the location of Hamas facilities and tunnels; tons of cell phones, pictures, and videos; maps and computers, etc.) that is being sent to Israeli troops on the battlefield and resulting in a lot of Hamas losses.
  • When a Hezbollah anti-tank missile fired from Lebanon killed an Israeli citizen, Netanyahu said, “If Hezbollah makes a mistake, it will turn Beirut and South Lebanon into Gaza and Khan Younis.”
  • Israel has completed the installation of five pumps, each one capable of pumping thousands of cubic meters of water per hour, from the Mediterranean Sea into tunnels in northern Gaza.
  • Hamas is stealing fuel and humanitarian aid that Israel allowed into Gaza to help the Palestinians.

Friday, Dec. 8, 2023 (Day 63): The eighth day of the resumed war.

  • Dozens of Hamas fighters have surrendered to Israeli troops.
  • Officials from Turkey, Jordan, Egypt, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia went to Washington to try to get the U.S. to push a ceasefire in the Israel-Hamas war.
  • Israel tried to rescue some hostages, but two Israeli soldiers were killed, several were injured, one of the hostages was killed, and the attempt was called off.

Saturday, Dec. 9, 2023 (Day 64): The ninth day of the resumed war.

  • Hamas troops fired on Israeli troops from inside a mosque and a UN-run school.
  • Russia said it will be a blatant war crime if Israel pumps seawater into the tunnels.
  • Israeli intelligence reported that there is a widespread feeling among captured Hamas troops that the Hamas leadership underground does not care about the public in Gaza who are above ground.
  • In response to the U.S. veto of a UN resolution demanding a ceasefire in the Israeli-Hamas war, Turkey’s Pres. Erdogan said the UN must be reformed.
  • Hezbollah fired several rockets from Lebanon into Israel from a position that was about 20 meters (65 feet) from a UN base.

Sunday, Dec. 10, 2023 (Day 65): The tenth day of the resumed war.

  • Hamas said no hostages will leave Gaza alive if their demands are not met (Hamas is still holding 137 hostages).
  • When one of the Hamas commanders was killed on Dec. 2, 2023, his deputy commander replaced him (he was killed on Dec. 10).
  • Netanyahu urged Hamas troops to surrender to Israel before they die with Yahya Sinwar.
  • Israel demanded that Russia cut ties with Iran because Iran sponsors most of the terrorist groups in the Middle East.

Monday, Dec. 11, 2023 (Day 66): The eleventh day of the resumed war.

  • Israel intensified its attacks on Gaza.
  • Hamas fired more rockets into Israel, including at Tel Aviv (Israel targeted the source of these rockets).
  • Israel said its troops are closing in on full control of northern Gaza.
  • France, Germany, and Italy sent a letter to the EU urging the prompt implementation of special sanctions against Hamas and its supporters. Their letter claims that Hamas does not represent the Palestinian people or their aspirations.
  • Israel notified the U.S. that the international community must act against Lebanon to stop Hezbollah’s aggression against Israel. Otherwise, Israel is preparing for war with Hezbollah.

Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2023 (Day 67): The twelfth day of the resumed war.

  • The U.S. asked the UN to condemn Hamas’ Oct. 7, 2023, attacks on Israel.
  • The UN General Assembly was asked to approve a resolution calling for: 1) An immediate humanitarian ceasefire; 2) for all parties to comply with their obligations under international law, including international humanitarian law, notably regarding the protection of civilians; and 3) for the immediate and unconditional release of all hostages, as well as ensuring humanitarian access.
  • The UN General Assembly resolution passed, but the UN General Assembly vote is non-binding, so there is no guarantee that Israel or Hamas will abide by it.
  • Netanyahu said when the war is over, he will not allow anyone who teaches, supports, or finances terrorism to run the government of Gaza.
  • Israel has started pumping seawater into some of the tunnels in Gaza.
  • Terrorists in Gaza have fired more than 11,500 rockets into Israel since their Oct. 7, 2023, attack.

Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2023 (Day 68): The thirteenth day of the resumed war.

  • A poll of Palestinians in Gaza found that 90% want PA president Mahmoud Abbas to resign.
  • Israel said its war with Hamas will continue with or without international support.

The United Nothing :: By Daymond Duck

From raptureready.com

I have often referred to the UN (United Nations) as the United Nothing. I have sometimes thought that is too harsh and felt guilty about being so critical. But when I read several stories like I have read this morning, I think it is true and well-deserved.

Consider the following stories:

>On Nov. 15, 2023, Reuters reported that the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), an agency that is part of the UN system, said Iran has enriched enough uranium to about 60% purity to build at least three atomic bombs, and they constantly call for “Death to Israel” and “Death to the United States.” What has the UN done about this? Very little, if anything.

>On Nov. 15, 2023, it was reported that the UN Special Rapporteur on Palestinian Territories told a National Press Club in Australia that Israel’s right to defend itself against the Hamas atrocities (rape of women and children, beheading of babies, burning people alive, seizing of hostages, etc.) on Oct. 7th is non-existent because it is an occupying power. She echoed remarks that Russia’s Ambassador to the UN made a week earlier. What will the UN do about this? Probably nothing.

>On Nov. 15, 2023, it was reported that Israeli troops raised the Israeli flag over a UN-operated school (it was one of many) that reportedly has been teaching Gaza children for 20 years to hate Jews (many Gaza children have likely grown up to be terrorists, and some may have been involved in the Oct. 7 rapes, beheadings, etc.). During the 20 years that this was going on, what did the UN do to stop this? It looks like the UN ignored it for 20 years.

>On Nov. 15, 2023, Israel reported that dozens of Israeli troops entered Al-Shifa hospital in Gaza, and they found weapons, ammunition, and a tunnel in the basement. It has been common knowledge for several years that Hamas was using hospitals, that there were tunnels under and near them, and that it is a violation of the Geneva Convention and other rules of war. So, what has the UN done about this? As far as I can tell, nothing.

>On Nov. 15, 2023, Hezbollah in Lebanon claimed that it had struck eight targets in Israel; this has been going on for years, the UN has troops near Lebanon’s border with Israel, they know that Hezbollah keeps attacking Israel. So, what has the UN done about it? Very little, if anything.

The United Nothing (oops, I mean the United Nations) has been around for more than 70 years, and most people I know believe the world is in a mess.

It distorts the truth, is anti-Israel, anti-Christian, and is working to establish a world government that will be the most evil, corrupt failure in human history.

There have been reports of UN troops raping women, trafficking in drugs, and more.

The U.S. is the largest contributor to the United Nothing, and I truly wonder what U.S. citizens are getting for their money.

(More: On Nov. 16, 2023, Florida Gov. DeSantis promised to defund the UN if he is elected Pres. of the U.S.)

(More: On Nov. 16, 2023, a spokesman for Netanyahu condemned International agencies and officials (the United Nothing) for allowing Hamas to turn Gaza’s hospitals into terror bases and not doing anything about it. He asked, “Why do you continue to do propaganda for Hamas instead of doing your jobs?”)

(More: On Nov. 20, 2023, Israel accused the UN and WHO of war crimes for not doing anything about Hamas using their hospitals for their terrorist activities (protection, command centers, storage of weapons, etc.)

(My opinion: Globalists who want to establish a world government and let the UN and WHO have authority over it are demonic or mentally ill.)

Here are some stories that made the news this week:

One, going back to the United Nothing and Nov. 15, 2023 (the same day as mentioned above): the UN Security Council passed a resolution that calls for “urgent and extended humanitarian pauses and corridors” for “a sufficient number of days” to allow full, rapid, safe, and unhindered access for UN agencies and partners throughout Gaza. The resolution also calls for “the immediate and unconditional release of all hostages held by Hamas and other groups, especially children, as well as ensuring immediate humanitarian access.”

Two days later, on Nov. 17, 2023, Joseph A. Klein (author and UN Columnist for the Canadian Free Press) wrote that there are at least three flaws in the resolution:

  • First, there is no condemnation of Hamas for beheading babies, burning people alive, or any of their other atrocities.
  • Second, there is no set time limit on the pauses, no definition of what a sufficient number of days means, and everyone knows that lengthy UN-required pauses will give Hamas time to regroup and rearm.
  • Third, the UN Security Council resolution calls for (but does not require or demand) the immediate and unconditional release of all hostages, and it does not refer to Hamas or any of its terrorist allies as terrorists.

So, what does the resolution do? Probably nothing but give the UN, the media, and others grounds to condemn Israel.

Here is a link to Klein’s article:

https://canadafreepress.com/article/un-security-council-resolution-on-gaza-war-passes-without-condemning-hamas

Two, concerning the days of Noah (wickedness) at the end of the age: on Nov. 17, 2023, Memphis, TN, police chief C. J. Davis said crime is out of control in her city.

According to Davis, sending in troops will not change anything if the criminals are not kept in jail.

(More: On Nov. 18, 2023, it was reported that the mayor of Washington, DC, has declared a public emergency because of the increase in juvenile crime and drug fatalities. The situation is so bad that some residents now call the city a war zone.)

Three, concerning deceit and corruption in the White House: on Nov. 19, 2023, former speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives, Kevin McCarthy, said, “The GOP has moved closer to filing an impeachment inquiry into Pres. Biden.”

House members believe they have found a lot of proof of shady business dealings by the Biden family, and they have started subpoenaing people.

Four, concerning a cashless society and the Mark of the Beast: on Nov. 18, 2023, it was reported that the head of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) recently told the world to prepare for Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDCs) to replace cash despite the opposition of some groups.

CBDCs will allow the government to track all buying and selling. (Note: Nothing was said about when CBDCs will be rolled out globally, but we were being advised that it is coming, like it or not. According to the report, more than 100 nations are already exploring the use of CBDCs, and global interest is unprecedented.)

(More: On Nov. 21, 2023, Worthy News reported that “The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has launched a virtual handbook on Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) to serve as a reference guide for Central Banks, aiming to facilitate the implementation of CBDCs and the transition towards a cashless society.”)

Five, concerning a deliberate population reduction: on Nov. 19, 2023, The Expose reported that the UK government Office for National Statistics recently released data on deaths of those who were never vaccinated for Covid-19 versus those who had been vaccinated; those that had been vaccinated three times (booster); and those that had been vaccinated four times (double booster).

According to the government report, 95% of those who died between June 1, 2022, and May 31, 2023, had been vaccinated, and 94% of those who died during that time had triple or quadruple vaccinations.

Six, concerning climate change and lab-grown meat: on Nov. 21, 2023, The New American reported that Italy recently “passed a law prohibiting the production, sale, import, and export of lab-grown meat and other synthetic foods, including the insect-based ones.”

Sadly, Italy is the only country to do that.

Seven, concerning corruption in the 2020 elections: on Nov. 20, 2023, a U.S. District Judge in Georgia ruled that voting machine critics are not conspiracy theorists. Judge Amy Totenberg said there is sufficient reason to believe that the electronic voting machines used by the State of Georgia have substantial flaws.”

The case will now wind up in a higher court.

Eight, concerning the Battle of Gog and Magog (Russia, Iran, and others attacking Israel in the latter years and latter days: on Nov. 21, 2023, it was reported that:

  • The U.S. is concerned that Iran may soon start supplying Russia with ballistic missiles for use in Ukraine.
  • Russia is helping Iran improve its satellite collection capabilities, and it may start helping Iran improve its missiles, air defense, and military electronics weapons.

Nine, concerning the return of Jews to the Promised Land at the end of the age: on Nov. 21, 2023, the head of a major Israeli immigration agency said he expects the current hostilities toward Jews in foreign nations to cause more than one million Jews to relocate to Israel in the coming years.

Here are some daily updates on Israel’s war with Hamas:

Thursday, Nov. 16, 2023 (Day 41)

  • Israel found the body of one of the hostages (a 65-year-old mother of five), assault rifles, and RPGs in a building next to the Al-Shifa hospital.
  • Israel found a tunnel shaft and a booby-trapped vehicle containing many weapons at the Al-Shifa hospital.
  • Israel showed members of the BBC and a U.S. TV crew guns, bullet-proof vests, laptops, etc., that troops found under bags of medical supplies at Al-Shifa hospital.
  • Israel is involved in a violent attack at the last functioning hospital in Gaza City.
  • Israel said they have found tunnels and weapons at three Gaza hospitals.
  • The head of Iran’s Quds Force (the foreign arm of Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corp; IRGC) said, “We will not let Israel defeat Hamas.”
  • The head of the IRGC warned Israel to expect more surprise attacks like the surprise Hamas attack on Oct. 7, 2023.
  • Former U.S. Sec. of Defense Mark Esper said, “To ultimately defeat Hamas — you have to prevent their ability to reconstitute their military forces — that means you have to deal with Iran once and for all.”
  • UK Labor Leader Keir Starmer said, “A ceasefire now will not bring peace.”
  • Palestinian terrorists shot six Jews in Israel near Jerusalem.

Friday, Nov. 17, 2023 (Day 42)

  • Syria said it shot down several missiles that Israel fired toward the Damascus area.
  • Syria said Israel fired missiles at a town that has several Iranian-backed militias, and the Israeli missiles hit targets.
  • Israel found the body of a second hostage near Al-Shifa hospital (a 19-year-old female soldier).
  • Israel pumped exploding gel into the tunnel at a Gaza hospital and detonated it. Smoke spewed from at least three points along a nearby road.
  • Israel said it has found underground infrastructure and important information about the hostages; Israel found bombs, mortars, and other weapons in a kindergarten room; and Israel found weapons at an elementary school.
  • Israel will not comment on what Israel knows about the hostages because Israel does not want to put them in more danger than they are already in.
  • Israeli jets struck several Hezbollah targets in Lebanon.
  • Israel announced the death of one of Hamas’ top political leaders.
  • The head of Bahrain became the first leader of an Arab nation to condemn Hamas for attacking Israel on Oct. 7 and to demand the release of the hostages.

Saturday, Nov. 18, 2023 (Day 43)

  • All but 5 doctors and 120 patients who are too sick to be moved have left Al-Shifa hospital, and it has been taken over by the Israeli military.
  • Communications blackouts in Gaza are hampering reporting from there.
  • Israel intends to expand its operation in Gaza.
  • Israel will not agree to a ceasefire until all hostages are released.
  • Biden called for a revitalized PA to take over the Gaza Strip when the war is over.
  • Prime Min. Netanyahu said Israel didn’t enter Gaza to hand it over to the PA.
  • Biden called for efforts to achieve the two-state solution when the war is over. (This would divide Jerusalem, give east Jerusalem to the Palestinians, and let them locate the capital of a Palestinian state there.)

Sunday, Nov. 19, 2023 (Day 44)

  • Israel found a tunnel in a shed at the Al-Shifa hospital complex that is 10 (32.8 ft) meters deep and runs 55 meters (about 180 feet) to a blast-proof door (what is on the other side of that door is unknown).
  • Israel found laptops at Al-Shifa hospital with video of Oct.7, 2023, hostages on them, and those hostages were at the hospital.
  • Israel’s war cabinet will meet tonight to discuss an agreement to pause the war for the release of some of the hostages.
  • An Internationally brokered agreement for the release of some hostages in exchange for an equal number of non-Hamas Palestinians and a pause in the war is looking likely.
  • The Israeli military released a video that they said shows Hamas terrorists forcibly taking Oct. 7 hostages into the Al-Shifa hospital.
  • In the past, PA Pres. Mahmoud Abbas has denied the Holocaust, and today, he denied that Hamas attacked Israel on Oct. 7. My question is, why do the UN, U.S., EU, and others think Israel should withdraw its troops from the Gaza Strip and allow this man to rule over the area?

Monday, Nov. 20, 2023 (Day 45)

  • About this time (date uncertain), a senior Iranian official said Israel’s war with Hamas will expand to new fronts in the coming days. He said, “The war in Gaza is a war for control of the region, and it’ll determine the fate of Israel and the fate of the resistance axis, which will play a larger role in the future.”
  • Israel said its troops came under fire from terrorists inside the Indonesian Hospital in Gaza, and the Israeli troops returned the fire.
  • Israel accused the UN and WHO of war crimes for not doing anything about Hamas using their hospitals for their terrorist activities (protection, command centers, storage of weapons, etc.).
  • Hezbollah fired powerful rockets and flew drones from Lebanon into Israel that caused major damage at an Israeli base. (Israel retaliated.)
  • Cross-border fighting between Hezbollah and Israel is heavier than any time since 2006.
  • Israel claims that Hezbollah has fired more than 1,000 rockets at Israel since Israel’s war with Hamas began.
  • An international broadcaster from France released a recorded interview of a British doctor who worked at Al-Shifa hospital in Gaza for three months at some time in the past, and he said when he worked there, he was told that there was a lower ward going down to the basement, it was off-limits to medical staff, and if they went down there, they could be shot.
  • Israel released video of an explosion they set off in a tunnel that caused several other explosions in the area, indicating a whole network of interconnected tunnels with explosives inside.
  • Hamas has 24 battalions of troops in Gaza with about 1,000 terrorists in each battalion, more than 10 battalions have been significantly weakened, the number of missiles they fire at Israel each day has been drastically cut, and many commanders have been killed.

Tuesday, Nov. 21, 2023 (Day 46)

  • Fighting between Israel and Hamas increased in several areas in northern Gaza.

Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2023 (Day 47)

  • Israel agreed to suspend (pause, not end) the war for four days (Hamas said the pause will start at 10 am Nov. 23, 2023), release about 150 Palestinian (no members of Hamas) prisoners, halt aerial surveillance of Hamas six hours per day, allow some fuel deliveries, and more in exchange for the release of 53 Israeli women, children, and elderly hostages in small groups (not all at once) during that four-day period.
  • Netanyahu said Israel will resume the war when the four days are over, and it will not end until Hamas is destroyed and all prisoners are released.
  • Other nations should negotiate the release of their own citizens who were taken hostage.
  • Israel told Palestinians in northern Gaza to use the pause to leave and head south.
  • Israel said they have found and destroyed 400 tunnel shafts in Gaza since Oct. 7, 2023.
