Turning Point USA founder and conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was shot at an event in Utah on Wednesday, per multiple reports.
Videos circulating on X appear to show the 31-year-old shot in or near the neck at an event at Utah Valley University.
The Deseret News reported, Kirk’s condition is unknown, and a suspect was taken into custody.
Fox News confirmed he was struck by at least one bullet.
Immediately after the news broke, calls for prayer for Kirk were shared across X:
FBI Director Kash Patel shared a statement saying the bureau was monitoring the situation:
“We are closely monitoring reports of the tragic shooting involving Charlie Kirk at Utah Valley University. Our thoughts are with Charlie, his loved ones, and everyone affected. Agents will be on the scene quickly and the FBI stands in full support of the ongoing response and investigation.”

I will absolutely pray for him. I have heard of him, and seen him speaking through videos a few times; and from what I saw and heard, I can well imagine any left liberal types wanting to murder him — I think it is safe to assume that when they find out who it was did this shooting, they will be a lefty liberal, and possibly even yet another trans type….

Yes, and I pray they are found and that, if the justice system balks at giving them the proper penalty, that God will see to it that they quickly get everything they deserve at His own hand.
But, despite how horrible this is — especially for his family — it is not all bad when looked at in its entirety. I found three points which are good things: firstly, that Charlie is now with his Lord and Saviour — where we all long to be; secondly, now that this has happened, on top of the Trump shooting attempts, the lefties are really showing their horrid, intolerant spirit, that will leap to violence and murder readily if it feels thwarted, threatened, or even simply annoyed by decent people — their mask has really slipped over this one; and thirdly; Christians being killed simply for being decent people, and saying the same kind of things Jesus said when He was on earth, is one of the signs Jesus gives of end — Matt. 24:9.
So, even in his death, Charlie carries on his work; and I hope that plenty of the videos there are of him debating with people will be shown continually until the very end. As far as I can tell, he did his duty; now it is up to each of us who are alive and remain to do the same in whatever way the Lord has for us to serve 🙂
