THINGS OF CONCERN.
I’m not a fan of a national, organized “synchronized baptisms” business. I’m not even sure of the gospel that was preached. I witnessed to a friend once who wanted to be saved but not right then…he would wait until Billy Graham came to town.
Today is the day of salvation 2Cor 6:2 as you may not have a tomorrow in your future.
Hopefully the REAL Jesus was preached & with it repentance, salvation thru faith alone in Christ alone. Their little mantra of “we would become one”…one what is of concern as we march toward the one world religion, one world dictator & his demand of worshipping him only & taking his mark on pain of death.
The so called “unity” mentioned here is “a unity in what we all agree on, which is water baptism”. That’s it? Are you kidding me? Does that mean the character of the Father, Son & the Holy Spirit is malleable as well? Baptism in itself does not provide salvation. There’s no salvific power in the water. That’s not spiritual preparation for the end times future on earth. Did you know most cult members were former baptized members of mainline church denominations?
I remember Billy Graham crusades which welcomed everyone including Catholics & had the support of local Catholic church authorities who would use the crusades to bring lax members back into their Gospel deficient folds. The Holy Spirit moves as He wills to move people’s hearts & minds toward Jesus with preaching the real Gospel message.
He doesn’t need us to help “synchronize” His movements so He can work us natural liars & procrastinators into becoming Promise Keepers or like kind syncretic Christians. Another concern is many of us realize the church at large is a doctrinal & spiritual mess in these times. Many of us old timers don’t attend anymore because we see the appalling difference, have a love for the truth & are like the Bereans to see whether these things (the preaching, teachings) were so by searching the Scriptures daily (Acts 17:11). Study & show thyself approved (2Tim2:15).
So the question is will these new converts get properly grounded in Biblical doctrine, properly discipled & have effective discernment for a lifetime of dedication & servitude to the REAL Lord Jesus? Food for thought, prayer & Bible study. Unity in Baptism does not save a sinner.

Absolutely! 100% agree!!
Me, too! I read the article to which this is his response, and I had many of the same concerns he expresses here occur to my mind — whenever I hear the word ‘unity’ it always makes me suspicious, and ready to look deeper before I just take whatever it is at face value — unity (or whatever might be passing for it) is so often the sugar used to help the medicine go down, so to speak…
We have to be so careful, especially in these times, to ensure we only take on board things that are 100% Jesus — with anything else, the whatever-it-is percent mixed up with the Word will probably be enough to poison one. It has to be the pure milk of the Word, and if it were not for the work of the Holy Spirit, sometimes it would be very hard to discern the impurities which are so rife. So, praise God for His Holy Spirit!!! 🙂
Yes, these were my sentiments too. I pray that in spite of what this might or might not be that God would use it anyway to steer some of them to the truth. I heard and saw some off beat things as i was growing up but God helped me sift through that and led me straight to Him. Lets pray that those who got caught up in this can search further and get Gods real truth.
I also agree, Amen. Colossians 1:17-20
I also agree! So very important to be a Berean and pray for decernment!!🙏🙏
To be honest, I have always been sceptical of these mass baptisms. NOT the ones that are held by Pastors of Bible believing churches but the ones that are by someone who travels the U.S. just to perform mass baptisms. It never sat right with me for some reason. I do believe that my thoughts were the same (since I am sceptical), wondering if they were even presented with the true, whole gospel of Jesus Christ.
