The Second Opinion about Surgery

I just got the ‘second opinion’ about the surgery. The doctor is a well known gastroenterologist and looked through all of my notes and test results from the ER. He said that there was absolutely NO reason to have my gallbladder removed!!

Thank you all for your prayers!

PRAISE JESUS!!

    Shalom Aleicham Geri and Tim.
Our prayer for you Geri was that you wouldn’t have to have this surgery.
The Lord works in your life, for His Glory and your good. Romans 8:28, Psalm 100.
The Lord bless and keep you in His wonderful care ❣

  2. That was my opinion all along but I kept my mouth shut and let other good people give their views. So glad this prevailed. There are non surgical things to do so dig them all out. Praise God.

… it seems to me that Surgeons are trying to “play God” lately… removing various bits and pieces that God put into our bodies, and the Surgeons just remove them… WHY??? I REALLY THINK God put them all into us for a PURPOSE, and we really SHOULD LEAVE THEM ALONE…

Praise the Lord!!! I regretted having mine removed years ago, altho’ at the time it had been my doctor’s suggestions. But I have had more digestive problems after the operation than before. I am glad you got a second opinion.

That is wonderful news! So glad you got that 2nd opinion. Praying that the true source of your pain will be figured out and you will have relief. May you and Tim have a blessed Christmas.

Praise the Lord — absolutely!!!!! That is exactly what I have been asking for you; and so there you have it, God’s blessing, directly from Him, a wonderful gift from Heaven.
And I have also prayed, that because of this you will be able to really enjoy your Christmas-time rest, and that it will be one of the very most blessed you have ever had in your whole life 🙂

All I can say is you are to blame for depriving that poor surgeon from income to pay for his boat, Mercedes, view mansion on the water, private plane, rich guy private golf club dues, bar bill & many other essentials of life. Hope ur happy now! PTL

Never take a doctors views seriously, always check on the internet for alternate health advise. They are not trained for holistic/natural health.

Praise God! Such great news. Please, if you don’t mind, would you tell us what symptoms you’ve been experiencing? I’m afraid I’m going through this same thing, but can’t find out any information regarding the specific symptoms I’ve been having anywhere online. And I can’t get in to see my doctor until the third week in January. Tragically, the medical care we have in the U.S. now is TERRIBLE, thanks to Washington, DC.

    1. My Lipase number was 714 in the hospital ER only once and then it came back down to 26 (normal) High Lipase can mean you have pancreatitis. But I did not have horrible stomach pain – only a slight burning which is normal for me. But the Doc at the ER insisted that because I had the high Lipase once, that I needed to get my gallbladder taken out. I went to the surgeon who was going to do the surgery and he set up the surgery. I talked to a friend who actually had pancreatitis (John Haller) and he told me that the pain of pancreatitis is HORRIBLE. He said it was the worst pain he ever had. I began to think that I did NOT have that illness.

Then I read on Mayo Clinic website that a bad kidney infection can cause a rise in Lipase. I had gone to the ER with a terrible kidney infection in October and that was the night my Lipase skyrocketed. I finally went to Tim’s gastroenterologist for a second option about the surgery. He was able to view all my records from the hospital and he said NO to surgery and I trusted him completely.

Wow, praise God for second opinions and friends who have been there! I’m so glad you were able to avoid surgery. Thanks for sharing and I hope you’re feeling a lot better now 😊
