PRAYER REQUEST

My surgery is on Thursday Dec 19th at 7:30 am. I am having my gallbladder removed. I do not do well under anesthesia but this surgery is needed. I was given a cardiac clearance yesterday, but the doctor said there is a moderate chance that I will have a heart event again. He said that the anesthesiologist will have beta blockers to give to me if that happens.

I am very anxious about this and your prayers are much appreciated.

In Christ,

Geri

White House Issues Unconvincing Statement on Mysterious Drone Sightings, Sparking Anger

From westernjournal.com

The Joe Biden White House wants Americans to believe John Kirby over their own lying eyes.

Americans looking for answers about a flurry of continuous, unexplained aerial activity over New Jersey didn’t get a lot of help from the White House National Security communications adviser on Thursday, when Kirby used a news briefing to downplay concerns about potential danger in the strange, nighttime sightings.

In fact, Kirby — a man with his own credibility problems — ended up infuriating local officials and residents who’ve actually witnessed the phenomena.

Since late November, the objects have been spotted regularly over northern New Jersey, appearing and disappearing without explanation.

On Wednesday, Rep. Jeff Van Drew, a New Jersey Republican, went public with the charge — based on what he called “very qualified sources” — that the objects were actually drones being launched from an Iranian “mothership” off the East Coast.

At the briefing on Thursday, Kirby claimed all those sightings are just misunderstandings from observers on the ground.

“Using very sophisticated electronic detection technologies provided by federal authorities, we have not been able to — and neither have state or local law enforcement authorities — corroborate any of the reported visual sightings,” he said, as recorded by a White House transcript.

“To the contrary, upon review of available imagery, it appears that many of the reported sightings are actually manned aircraft that are being operated lawfully.”

So, those ignorant knuckledraggers in New Jersey don’t know drones from planes and helicopters?

Jacqui Heinrich, Fox News senior White House correspondent, didn’t let the statement go unchallenged.

When the briefing opened for questions, she drilled down hard. Citing concerns from elected officials about the activity occurring “near critical infrastructure, sensitive locations, including reservoirs and military installations,” she stated the obvious about Kirby’s claim.

“Can you make that make more sense?” she asked. “Because I think people in New York and New Jersey see drones the size of an SUV over their house every night and think that that doesn’t make any sense.”

One of them is Sam Morris, mayor of Mine Hill Township, New Jersey.

In an interview with ABC News on Thursday, Morris blasted Kirby’s statement as “ridiculous.”

“I would invite Mr. Kirby to Mine Hill. Come on out, Mr. Kirby, and let’s go out one night about 9:30, 10 o’clock,” he said. “I’ll go out behind my town hall, and you can count them with me all night.”

And it’s not just Mine Hill. Morris cited a report from a neighboring town, where “there’s anywhere from 30 to 40 [sightings] a night, and every night they’re in the same place doing the same things.”

“So I have to say, Mr. Kirby, that’s a lot of nonsense.”

Many agreed, including Rich Zeoli, a conservative radio host in Philadelphia, who sarcastically summed up Kirby’s explanation as the objects being ” just a guy with a couple of drones he got at Best Buy.”

And there plenty of others critics.

When it comes to Kirby’s credibility, it’s important to remember that he was the spokesman for the State Department during the final years of the Obama administration — a White House that was infamous for lying to the American people and getting away with it thanks to a coddling White House press corps.

(As State Department mouthpiece, Kirby helped sell the country Obama’s Iran nuclear deal — which was later renounced by President Donald Trump only for the Biden administration to try to revive it, unsuccessfully, with John Kirby back on the scene.)

In the Biden years, he’s been talked about as a rival and potential replacement for the serial liar Karine Jean-Pierre as White House press secretary.

In short, however much conservatives might normally honor a man who spent a career in military service, ending up with the rank of Navy rear admiral, John Kirby’s record over the past decade-plus of public life doesn’t instill confidence — and Thursday’s news conference didn’t help.

Sane Americans will trust their lying eyes instead. source

Clearly the Left is not learning that the vast majority of ‘sane’ Americans do not  believe them and refuse to be bamboozled by them any longer!

Holiday Display Outside State Capitol Included a Satanic Statue – It Didn’t Last Long

From westernjournal.com

If your civil institutions require equal time for Jesus Christ and Satan, then your civil institutions have gone astray.

Fortunately, it would take only a basic understanding of history, not to mention a semblance of a spine, for civil servants to recognize that American institutions require no such accommodation of evil.

According to WMUR-TV in Manchester, New Hampshire, a Satanic Temple “holiday” display at the State House in Concord suffered damage shortly after its erection on Saturday, thereby proving that the unidentified vandal has a better historical understanding and much stronger spine than the government officials who permitted or even encouraged the display in the first place.

The Satanic Temple poses as an organization committed to values such as empathy and reason.

As its repellent website makes plain, however, it exists primarily to promote abortion.

In other words, it operates true to form for a group named after the father of lies.

As it has done elsewhere, The Satanic Temple erected a statue of Baphomet, a goat-headed occult symbol, at the New Hampshire State House.

Predictably, an elected Democrat encouraged the display.

“I approached them as a person who cares about equal representation on public grounds for religions,” Democratic state Rep. Ellen Read said.

Saturday on Facebook, Concord city officials made it clear that they felt bullied by The Satanic Temple.

“Throughout the country, the Satanic Temple has both threatened and brought lawsuits under the First Amendment when excluded,” the City of Concord wrote.

Thus, “[u]nder the First Amendment and to avoid litigation,” the city decided to allow all holiday displays.

To his credit, Concord Mayor Byron Champlin recognized The Satanic Temple’s insidious motives and thus objected to the display.

“I opposed the permit,” Champlin told the Boston Globe, “on the basis that the request was not made in the interest of promoting religious equity, but to drive an anti-religious political agenda leveraging the attention one can receive during this time of year.”

The statue and its diabolical message had “cracks across the middle and chunks of text missing” within 48 hours.

We may thank the heroic vandal for that.

In the meantime, public officials need to learn that the First Amendment does not protect satanism. It has nothing to do with Baphomet statues.

This same issue arose during the 2023 holiday season, when The Satanic Temple placed a similar display inside the Iowa Capitol.

Then, as now, state officials assumed that the First Amendment required equal protection for such displays. Then, as now, they erred in that assumption.

“Before any man can be considered as a member of Civil Society, he must be considered as a subject of the Governour of the Universe,” James Madison, author of the First Amendment, wrote in 1785.

Moreover, according to President John Adams, one cannot read the U.S. Constitution in purely secular terms.

“Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious People. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other,” Adams wrote in 1798.

Thus, the Constitution protects anti-religious speech, but it does not — indeed, it cannot — require equal protection for religion and satanism. For the Constitution and “Civil Society” to exist at all, a community must embrace the former and reject the latter.

Outraged citizens, including the brave Christian who destroyed the 2023 Iowa statue, understand this better than most public servants do. source

Praise God that public officials are finally standing against satanic displays in public!
