Canadians are facing an escalating car theft problem that is costing insurers a record $1.2 billion a year.
A car is stolen every six minutes in Canada, according to a 2023 report by the Canadian Finance and Leasing Association. The Toronto Police Service is now advising residents to leave their car keys at their home’s front door for thieves.
“To prevent the possibility of being attacked in your home, leave your fobs at your front door because they’re breaking into your home to steal your car. They don’t want anything else,” Toronto Police Service Constable Marco Ricciardi said to residents at a recent community safety meeting in Etobicoke.
He added, “A lot that we’re arresting have guns on them, and they’re not toy guns. They’re real guns. They’re loaded.”
The Toronto Police Association warned of staffing shortages and the desperate need for an increased police budget in January. It ran an ad with the voice of a woman asking for help from the police, and a narrator notes that the police force is having trouble responding to emergency calls in a timely manner.
“Almost 4,000 calls are placed to 911 every day, and response times for police reached a staggering 22 minutes in 2023 and climbing. When seconds count, help us get there faster,” the narrator says in the video.
The January ad was met with widespread criticism.
“Is the TPA advocating for castle doctrine and concealed carry?” a social media user asked on X.
The recent comments to allow thieves access to car keys also brought criticism and mockery on social media.
“Why stop there? Put up a sign advertising it. Oh, and don’t forget to fill up the gas tank to avoid inconveniencing them,” a person said in response on social media.
Another social media user chimed in, “Leave your money on the door step too, perhaps they’ll need it for gas. You wouldn’t want to be held responsible for armed robbery of a gas station.”

I guess the message here is that we have come to a place in society where we have pretty much given up to the bad guys.
Lawlessness abounds:
“And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold. But he who endures to the end shall be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come” (Matthew 24: 12-14).

LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!It is the police and our gvmts doing. They are probably paying thugs to do so. People fall for this propaganda?
Anyone actually think aiding and abetting thieves stealing ur car will stop them from “graduating” themselves by coming into ur home with THEIR guns to threaten ur family & give u PTSD for life? To avoid this personal carnage Police will probably suggest leaving ur house keys on the porch too. OR instead just leave the house keys & paper work with all ur bank & credit card info with all authentications necessary to steal ur hard earned $ & identity only IF the crooks promise to never come back. There u see u have done ur civic duty in co-operating with the cops..feel better now? BTW, be sure u know where ur kid put his cap gun cuz maybe u can get lucky & scare them away. Libs sure know how to govern, don’t they?
Libs/ Leftists know how to govern by learning from their father the devil. Their handbook is “Rules for Radicals” by Saul Alinsky. These people are filled with demons (I believe) and probably have been given over to a reprobate mind (too late for them).
I guess they never took up the successful “bait car” method of getting car thieves off the streets, but then again the judges probably just let them right back out.
I mentioned yesterday, how almost daily now the signs Jesus gave us of how the end would be are coming thinker and faster — it is rather like an avalanche or hailstorm of signs matching His criteria all at once, and so many all at the same time simply cannot be a coincidence.
There is madness going on here too, but nothing quite like this as yet. I expect it is hovering there, just waiting to be let loose, however — there are many here panting for it like hounds scenting a fox, and they mean to run any evil course they like. And they like all of them — even evils I never knew existed until recently….
However, it all only means our King is soon going to call us up into the clouds with Him, so at least they are unwittingly kind enough to help show that! 🙂
Yes……unwittingly! 🙂
