The US had seen Iran moving military assets, such as drones and cruise missilesinternally, two US intelligence sources told CNN.
This is the latest development signaling a possible Iranian attack on Israeli targets, including targets within Israeli territory.
However, the sources say that it remained unclear whether or not Iran will attackfrom its own territory.
Iran could involve proxies in attack
According to US reports, Iran could also involve its proxies in carrying out such attacks.
The Biden administration asked Israel to update and consult with the United States before any Israeli response to a potential Iranian attack, senior American and Israeli officials said.

My 2 cents worth, on war games. (military service in my family goes back to WWI).
Iran barely has enough nuclear grade material for 1-3 bombs, as opposed to Israel’s arsenal of 80+. So unless they’re like the suicidal / homicidal maniacs they use as proxies, and I don’t think they are, they are using older but still useful techniques. A triangular naval blockade at the 3 chokepoints. Pretty clever move. It is also pulling American naval assets into the area. Is China watching? This gives them more access to Taiwan. Russia has a nuclear arsenal supposedly second to none, and can certainly beef up Iran. I sense an opportunity for not only threatening Israel, but significantly weakening its
American backup which is already of questionable worth, or commitment, to put it mildly. I think that meetings amongst Russia, Iran, Turkey, & China have even conspired to do this. I do not predict the outcome. At some point, I’m waiting for Damascus to be
“ a ruinous heap.”
