Our sister in Christ, Darline, wrote this tonight on the comment board:
“I’m lying in a hospital bed tonight. This morning after fixing breakfast, I blacked out for no known reason, & fell on the stained concrete floor, busting my lip, cracking& dislocating 3 teeth. They gave me stitches and are running several tests to determine the cause. They found evidence of a prior stroke, which I was totally unaware of.
What perfect timing to find this favorite hymn of mine! A lovely rendition by Josh Aaron, no less.”
She needs our prayers! Let’s all pray for her healing.

Prayers for Darline but also the doctors, nurses and technicians who are treating her. Father God, we thank you for guiding all who treat Darline – guide them by your Holy Spirit. If something is not an obvious ailment, give them the abilities to bring it to the surface and, in Jesus name, Father we thank you that nothing is too difficult for you to handle. Thank you, Father, for always being dependable and trustworthy. We love you, Father God!
Thank you for that reminder, sis!
Our Sister In Christ Darlene, We pray in the name of Jesus for your full recovery, the Bible says….. Rom 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. All is well in Jesus mighty name Amen.

Praying for Gods healing care & comfort for Darline as the doctors figure out what best to do for her and that she can be home soon.

Geri, I love reading your writings. Blessings and prayers ❤️👏🏻❤️👏🏻
God bless you, sweet sis 🙂
I have a happy update! I’m getting released this afternoon , referred to my cardiologist. All numbers are good. I might be over medicated with the blood pressure medication, causing it to drop. I do have an aortic regurgitation problem, also, but most of the time, it is stable. Will have to get to the dentist for some repairs next, due to my smash up with the concrete!
Thank you dear sisters for your prayers, & Tim for a worship video at exactly the time I needed it. This is all anything but a coincidence to me. It’s a God- incidence.
PRAISE GOD IN HEAVEN AND HALLELUJAH!!!
Thank you for the dear brothers as well. I didn’t see the other posts right away.
I’m going to have to wear a heart monitor for a while, and my cardio doc is booked up until April, but hopefully I can get the monitor from a NP there, which will be fine. Something like this reminds me of 2 things: live one day at a time, and the very hairs on your head are numbered( by the Creator Himself).
Amen. Prayers will continue to go up to heaven!

Darline, you are a wonderful example of a person who trusts and rests in Gods loving care. We are continuing to pray for you ❤️🙏 So good to hear the updates
I agree with Ellen’s words 🙂
I thought I would follow up a bit on my hospital experience, as I think it would be of interest. But first, I am attributing my early discharge to my Lord, Who must think I’m still useful enough to keep around; and all the wonderful prayer coverage from this sweet fellowship on Geri’s site. Words can’t express my gratitude enough.
The ER experience wasn’t great. My husband took me in, and I think that if you go by ambulance, you might get seen to more quickly. I was approached by a nurses aid, who had a Covid test package. I simply said I’m here for treatment for injuries from a fall, don’t need that. I didn’t say more, which was probably wise. She left. That was the end of it. Praise God. I was under His care, as so many things turned out right, no thanks to me, although I was unusually calm, considering the situation.
Most of the staff, and hospital workers were not wearing masks, so that was a good sign that some of the Covid routine had stopped. I have read that hospitals get extra bonuses for writing up a case as Covid, so that didn’t happen.
So many of the people I encountered were cheerful, respectful, and helpful. Southern manners have not disappeared in my my neck of the woods:)
My family has all had a COLD,
this past week. In my day, which is still now, for me, a cold was not an emergency; just get your box of Kleenex, a cold remedy of choice, and soldier through it. Coughing, sneezing, low grade fever . When I went into hospital, I didn’t have a fever, but yesterday, right before time of discharge, I felt feverish; thought I was now getting the COLD. I refuse to call it otherwise. Thankfully, it was 99.7, and the dear nurse said- we don’t treat a fever unless over 101! She was helping me to get out of there, but I was in long enough to get the tests, MRI, CT scan, heart monitor, EEG. By the time I got home, fever was 100.7. I’m coughing, sneezing, runny nose. It’s definitely a COLD. I took some cough medicine, and got some sleep in my own bed. I’m doing ok so far.
The hospital doctor gave prescription for Lipitor. My own GP, plus my cardiologist has not done that, or even suggested it, so I’m not going to get it, until they say so. Statin drugs have side effects that create more problems for some people. This isn’t saying don’t take them, perhaps you need it; It is just my personal decision, at this point. I take cod liver oil, which is a natural blood thinner.
I hope this wasn’t too much information, and thank you all again for your prayers .
Good call on not taking the Lipitor! Even though my cholesterol is on the high side, my doctor wants to manage this with diet. Statins can be dangerous and I know for a fact that Big Pharma makes a huge portion of their profits from those drugs. My doc said that cholesterol is genetic more than anything……So glad that you are okay, sis!
Thank you for confirming my decision on the Lipitor. I had a feeling that it is just part of the hospital/ pharma protocol. My cholesterol numbers are a little high, but enough respected sources say if your good cholesterol numbers are ok, the bad ones aren’t as concerning, and yes, it’s genetic, too.
I’m feeling better today. Have some “ Jewish penicillin “ going in my crockpot, and sipping hot tea with stevia. I’ve had good success with Saccharomyces Boulardii , a certain strain of probiotic that travelers swear by. I had need of it today & it has helped already. ( I get the NOW version, affordable & effective).
The comments on here are so encouraging. I appreciate all of you.
Praise the Lord!!
PRAYERS go UP as HIS BLESSINGS COME back Down too us!! “Pray Without Ceasing.’ ( 1 Thessalonians 5:17 KJV ) For our Sister Darline!!
Love Always and Shalom, YISIC \o/
