I’m pretty sure that will be like a horror movie.
Heartbreaking beyond words. I have a 17 grand niece who started transitioning at 14. Of course it caused a huge rift in the family. Her mother (my twin sister’s youngest daughter) completely supported it from the very beginning & convinced the father (with the psych’s help) that he also had to. The girl always had emotional problems & idolized a slightly older male cousin, the bad boy son of her father’s brother. No doubt the real problem came from somewhere in that situation, and she is no happier now that she’s “a boy.” Her father told me recently that she has attempted suicide several times. I could only tell the young girl that she could come to me if she ever needed help, but made it clear I did not support her decision on this. The reason they demand acceptance and even celebration of it is that they KNOW it’s foolish and wrong.
