Candace Owens says no ‘honest person’ thought Kanye’s tweet was antisemitic

Well, I am an honest Jew and have lived many decades with Jew Hatred thrown in my face. Trust me on this, Candace – this was pure unadulterated ANTISEMITISM.

So now I am addressing what I believe to be the cause of :

  • Kanye’s ignorant and blatant Jew hating remarks
  • Candace Owens defending the rap singer’s vitriolic remarks about my people.

Starting with Kanye West, does the reader remember a few years ago when Kanye told the world that he was born-again and started preaching on Sundays? He bamboozled a lot of people but I was not one of them.

Kanye has admitted that he has been diagnosed with bipolar disorder. People with this mental illness have extreme mood swings and are very unstable.

When Kanye began his rant on Twitter, it was apparent to me that he was involved with a very dangerous cult called the Black Hebrew Israelites. We all have seen these people in the news. They believe that the Jews in Israel are not real Jews, and that the Jews in the U.S. are also not real Jews.

The Black Hebrew Israelites believe that the Black Race are the true Jews. If you disagree with them in person, they will verbally, and at times physically confront you. They truly are a cult and they truly can be very violent.

Now, I will say why I believe that Candace Owens defended Kanye and even said that his words were not antisemitic. I believe that there are two primary reasons why Candace is behaving this way.

Have you seen the number of followers Kanye has on Twitter? That would be 31.8 Million as compared to Candace’s 3.2 million. Perhaps she saw this as a opportunity to grow her Twitter audience? But I think that her motivation to defend Kanye may be rooted in fear – NOT fear of Kanye West, but fear of the Black Hebrew Israelite cult. I am surmising both of these possible reasons.

I must say that I am disappointed in Candace. I have followed her for years and have had the utmost respect for her. I can relate to her because my Jewish family has a difficult time accepting that I am a Conservative – just as Candace’s family must feel about her as a black woman.

On her show, Owens seemed to suggest that anything short of calls for genocide may not qualify as antisemitism

While Owens’ new metric for what qualifies as antisemitism was the most noteworthy aspect of her deeply confused defense of West, it wasn’t the only one to raise eyebrows. Owens also said that those reading the tweet in bad faith fundamentally misunderstood West’s position, noting that “death con 3” was likely a misspelling of “defcon 3,” which is actually a “military defense position.”

Effectively: In her mind, West was perhaps poised to come to the rescue of Jews — not making antisemitic threats. (Odd that she thinks West would know the meaning of the term “defcon 3,” but not its correct spelling.)

Owens tried to persuade listeners that she was not going “defcon” (read: defensive) on West’s tweet, but instead asking an “open question” about his motives. Yet she only offered this caveat after saying that if “you’re a liar” you’ll say “I actually thought that Kanye West was going to launch a military strike in Israel.” I guess any attack on Jews is inevitably an attack on Israel.

Of course Owens had more to add about the Kanye kerfuffle, breaking the news Wednesday that JP Morgan Chase ended its banking relationship with West’s company for unspecified reasons.

Calling out a bank after an antisemitism debacle seems bad for the Jewish people. But I’ll defer to Owens on that one — she’s clearly the honest expert.

Conservative commentator Candace Owens, inspired by Kanye West’s recent social media activity, appears to have a new working definition of antisemitism: So long as it’s not about wanting to kill Jews or start another Holocaust, it’s probably totally fine!

On her Monday show on the Daily Wire, the conservative media platform run by right-wing commentator Ben Shapiro, Owens declared that Kanye’s weekend post on Twitter, in which he announced his intention to go “death con 3” on “JEWISH PEOPLE,” which resulted in Twitter locking his account, did not have the hallmarks of the oldest hatred. An “honest person” reading the message, she said, wouldn’t think West “wrote this tweet because he hates or wants to genocide Jewish people. This does not represent the beginning of the Holocaust.”

So, Owens, who previously said that Hitler would have been “fine” if he’d kept his ambitions confined to Germany, is now the arbiter of what is and isn’t antisemitic? Cool, great: Apparently anything short of calls for genocide is kosher.

In a rare show of disunity, Shapiro, while not responding to Owens’ segment, publicly disagreed with her, returning from a Sukkot-timed Twitter break Wednesday to write that West’s posts were “clearly antisemitic and disturbing.”

Perhaps I’m reading too much into this. Perhaps Candace dislikes Jews too.

HOW CAN I BE SAVED?

Sister Geri, I’ve been waiting to hear more honest commentary on this subject. Finally somebody came thru, and I’m delighted it was you. Once again, you’re spot-on. I’m a 70 year old Christian who absolutely loves the Jewish people and the land of Israel. The Lord showed me long ago how important the Jew is to gentile Christians. Without the Jews we would not have the Bible or an understanding of the God of the universe. The Lord put a deep love and respect for the Jewish people in my heart after I was saved in 1970. Has Kanye West forgotten that the Savior he claims to serve is a Jew ? ! And for whatever reasons, Candace is WAY off base in defending him. Kanye is definitely not showing the fruits of the Spirit ! And neither is Candace for supporting him. I know my Jesus is coming soon to rule His people in Jerusalem, and to rescue them from all of the satanic luciferian persecution and hate against true Christians and Jews that permeates the entire planet. Thank you for everything you do Geri…

    MARANATHA !

Kanye West deserves to be taken to task for his comments. He obviously meant them, especially as he has continued to repeat what he said. Why Candice Owens wanted to insert herself in this mess is beyond me, whatever the motive. Bad decision…big time.

While I don’t totally agree with Candice Owens, I believe there is some truth to what she is saying. I happened to agree wholeheartedly with Jason Whitlock, a conservative who occasionally comes on Tucker Carlson Tonight. He said that Kanye has one foot in the world and the other foot into Jesus. Unfortunately for “Ye”, he is going to have to choose. I hope he chooses Jesus!

A Jew is God. That is a fact. And it is bad enough that many of those who call themselves Christians are silent about the anti-Semitism in our time. But it is a good thing, dear sister, if we are disappointed in people by recognizing their true face, because it is really not worth looking up to people who do not know the Lord Jesus. I myself was in Israel with my grandmother, and love this country, was invited there by some Jews for a delicious strawberry tea. All the vegetation and the climate are quite like here in the area in Spain where I live. – Don’t be sad sis, we don’t need the world, nor their opinions. You have so many brothers and sisters who love you and with whom you will spend eternity. Marantha and a big hug from Spain! ♥
