Once again, I will quote from Benjamin Franklin’s speech at the Constitutional Convention of 1787:
“In these sentiments, Sir, I agree to this Constitution with all its faults, if they are such; because I think a general Government necessary for us, and there is no form of Government but what may be a blessing to the people if well administered, and believe farther that this is likely to be well administered for a course of years, and can only end in Despotism, as other forms have done before it, when the people shall become so corrupted as to need despotic Government, being incapable of any other.” (emphasis mine)
And brethren, we are there. The corruption in our country is just as Ben Franklin said it would be; and these corrupt people are demanding a despotic Government. Only God knows if they will prevail.
And as I’ve said numerous times, we must be ready for whatever transpires.
God is in Control!

NYC businesses board up windows ahead of 2020 presidential election
Chanel on the corner of Wooster Street in Soho is seen boarded up Friday ahead of Election Day.
Manhattan business owners including Chanel and Levi’s boarded up their storefronts with plywood on Friday afternoon — as the NYPD warned of potential unrest as the presidential election draws near.
Workers at retail shops in Soho, which were targeted by looters during unrest this summer, as well as shopkeepers near Washington Square Park were nailing up the wooden panels Friday afternoon.
Police had warned shopkeepers in neighborhoods that are usual protest hotspots to take extra precautions before the election, a police official said.
“The NYPD talked to many segments of the business community this week and advised that businesses in or in the area of location that have historically been protest targets, Washington Square and Union Square for example, and gave them advice to take extra precaution,” the official said.
In a letter to businesses and restaurants, the NYPD’s Manhattan South Patrol Borough, which covers 59th Street and below, said they would be implementing safety measures to “prevent pedestrian overflow” onto city streets.

PRAY AND VOTE! Not voting is NOT an option. I know that some of you disagree with this and you have every right to do so. But let me tell you that this election is THE MOST IMPORTANT Election in the history of our country. I am NOT exaggerating!!
Do your homework. Get a piece of paper and draw a line down the middle. Put the candidates names at the top and then write policies like:
- Gay Marriage
- History books in schools which are accurate
- Our Constitution
- Our First Amendment
- Our Second Amendment
- Our Police Force
- Law and Order
Write other issues which are important to you as a Christian.
Then you will know how to vote!!

Amen!! You are so right!
Yes, Geri, our forefathers would weep if they could see the condition of the republic for which they so valiantly strove. They would weep, too, for the calls for our Constitution to be destroyed. They would weep at the corruption in the branches of government that they so wisely adopted.
Please, everyone reading Geri’s articles, pray unceasingly for our country and its people to return to God and the Judeo-Christian principles it was founded on. Jesus is the only answer for our country. Please pray for our President’s safety, too, as well as the wisdom that can only come from God and His Word.
Amen, dear Susan. Beautifully worded from your heart, and I say AMEN to everything you said! Thank you for commenting 🙂
Amen. Thank you.
