President Trump, the Democrats, Satan and the Future of America

I received an email recently from a reader of my articles. He asked some questions which I do consider to be important. I asked him if I could post excerpts of his email in an article, and he gave me permission to do so.

From the email:

“I need your thoughts on a topic that I pray about and God’s answers have been troubling me lately. It is about President Trump and the Congress, and the special elections that are taking place and the big elections coming in November. I prayed hard for months for him to be elected and was so joyous when God heard our collective prayers. He’s sticking to his agenda pretty well and I pray for him and Mike Pence every day to be safe and successful with their agenda, and to get saved if they are not.

I pray also for all these Congressional special elections and the upcoming November ones. I pray for the Republicans to win and maintain their majorities. They are the only hope we have anymore as the Democrat party is totally controlled by Satan now. There is no hope of anything God-honoring coming out of that party. I’m sad that the Republican Party is very ‘Laodicean’ and it needs a lot of new members that are God-fearing and Bible-believing. I pray for that. I don’t want the Democrats to take over the House or Senate because that will ruin Donald’s efforts and we’ll be in the reverse situation that we were in with Obama in his second term. I believed that God put Donald in there to be effective for at least four years.

But with the Democrat sweep of almost everything in the Virginia state elections (where I live) last November, the Roy Moore disaster in Alabama and now the failure in a Republican district in PA, I am troubled that the Democrats will take back one or both houses in November. There is so much insanity and deception going on in our country, as you remind us, that I wonder if our Heavenly Father does not want me to be focused on this anymore.

The President is hated by most of Washington, including many Republicans, and I see and hear it every day as I work there. The Washington Post is the bible to so many of the people here. I’m really distraught now after all these setbacks since Donald’s election. The Lord has not been answering my prayers. I’m sure there are many in the country who are like-minded with me and spend a great deal of their prayer time focusing on these elections. And I’m sure they’re as disappointed in these results as I am. And maybe wondering what to do now like I am.

I heard J Vernon McGee say we are not to be focused on cleaning up the town or creating good government. I don’t really like to hear that as I think that is part of our mission to be salt and light. But maybe I’m putting too much emphasis on it. And God is telling me to let it go or back off on it with all of these dismal results.

I’m left to wonder why God put Donald in there if he only gave him two years to accomplish anything. He accomplished a lot for sure including the American embassy move to Jerusalem. I didn’t want Donald and the Republican Party to just hold Satan at his line of progression where he was stopped in Nov 2016. I want them to roll back a lot of Satan’s progress and restore some of what we’ve lost before his time ends and the next Obama and that party inevitably take control again.

I know this is just a brief respite from the scourge of evil that has overtaken us, and I am ever thankful for that. But I was hoping it would last for at least four years and even eight years, if the Lord tarries and He is willing to let Donald continue into a second term. Now it seems like it will only last two years. I’m starting to wonder why God even bothered if this was all we were going to get!

So please give me your thoughts on how much emphasis I should place on this in my prayer life. Why is God allowing evil to take back over again so quickly? How are you approaching this area since Donald was elected?”

As I was reading this brother’s email, I remembered an experience that my husband and I had with a pastor back in 2012.  We had already suffered through 4 years of Obama and quite honestly, I was frantic,  thinking that we could possibly be looking at 4 more years of him.  I remember crying out to the Lord “Why?? Why is this EVIL man ruling over us…….why, Lord?”

We made an appointment to meet with our pastor. After we entered his office, he said to me “I know exactly who is going to win the 2012 Presidential election!”  I looked at him and said “With all due respect, pastor, how can you possibly know for sure who will win?”

I will never forget his response to me:  “The man who will win is whomever the Lord allows to win!”

I was conflicted with his response. But as I thought about it more and more – it made complete sense to me.  I had allowed myself to become panicked about something over which I had no control, except for praying and casting my own vote.

The Dishonest Media

Do you remember the so-called polls which were coming out of the MSM about the 2016 Presidential elections?  We were told that Hillary Clinton had it in the bag. No chance for Donald Trump – nope – not even a prayer.

My husband and I had been praying fervently for Trump to beat Clinton, although during the primaries, we had been supporting Ted Cruz.  On the night of the election, my husband would not even watch the outcome of votes from various States. He admitted to me that he didn’t think that Trump had a chance.

I still watched, and as I saw the miracle unfolding, I felt like a school girl watching my school’s team obliterate the opposition!  I kept saying to Tim “But sweetie – you HAVE to see what is happening!”  He still didn’t want to watch.  I did understand his feelings.  We had been so depressed over the Obama wins. He just didn’t want to get excited just to be let down once again.

But then I looked at my husband and I said “HE WON!”  Tim looked up ever so slowly and saw that Trump had indeed beaten Clinton. He was speechless and very happy – but I could see that look of “This is too good to be true” on his face.

A President for Such a Time as This

I know that the Lord made the Trump win happen. I thought back to our pastor’s words, and they rang so true in my heart.  I thought about the book of Esther and how she had been placed by the Lord as the Persian Queen to save her people from annihilation by the evil Haman.

Obama’s hatred of Israel was not something he hid. He hated PM Netanyahu and even sent a group of henchmen to Israel to attempt to thwart a victory for Bibi.  It back fired and Bibi prevailed.  Whenever I read about the so-called Russian involvement in our election, I really have to laugh.  The liberals are such hypocrites!

Jerusalem and our Embassy

President Trump, right from the beginning of his presidency, made it so clear that he was a polar opposite of what we had experienced in Barack Obama. He spoke at the March for Life – I’m pretty sure that he is the only president who ever did that.

Unfortunately, he did not “drain the swamp” as he promised he would do.  We see now that it is a monumental task to do this, when Obama had 8 years in which he  filled our government with radical Islamists, Socialists and Communists – not to mention Globalists.

But Trump’s decision to declare to the world that Jerusalem is the undivided Capital of Israel; and his promise to move our embassy to Jerusalem, proved to the entire world that this was a president who truly loved Israel!  We who love the Lord are enthralled with his decision about Israel – the Leftist liberals – well, not so much.  They loathe this president and everything for which he stands. Many Republicans do as well.

Trump Stopped the NWO movement in its tracks

The liberal Democrats – shall we just cut to the chaste and call them what they are – Communists – truly thought that Clinton would win and the U.N. and Illuminati would be that much closer to the One World Government of which they dream.

God had other ideas. But prophecy students know that eventually the NWO will come to fruition and usher in the man of sin – Antichrist.  Trump’s election brought a reprieve – Geopolitically and Spiritually.

Brethren, we should be using this time to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with the lost.  If Clinton had prevailed, only the Lord knows if we (Christians) would have been silenced and imprisoned.  Clinton’s hatred of Christians was just as vehement as Obama’s. Remember when the Left booed the God of the Universe at a DNC? Hard to forget that.

Back to our brother’s email and questions

How are we to pray for upcoming elections as we watch the Democrats slowly take back that which they lost?  Why does God seem to not answer prayers when His people cry out to Him?  We know that God always answers the prayers of His saints with Yes, No or wait.

Kingdom Now and Dominionism

There is a false movement (I am not passing judgment on the salvation of these people) but they have bought into a lie which says that we (the church) need to clean up the governments; making sure that our elected officials are believers before our Lord will return.

When did Jesus ever say that He would not return until the governments of the world were filled with believers?  I don’t see that in Scripture.

The brother who wrote the email to me is so sincere in being troubled by what he is seeing happening with the Democrats, and also seeing that Trump has not yet fulfilled all of his promises. I am wondering how many of our brethren are feeling a sense of panic right now.

I do not believe that is the will of God for His people.

Do you realize that God allowed the “reign” of Barack Obama to fulfill His prophetic Word? The Arab Spring, which was orchestrated by Obama and Clinton, and bankrolled by George Soros, was used by God to set up so much of Bible Prophecy. Think Damascus.

God is Sovereign

I had a Sunday School teacher who loved to say “God is God, and I am not.”  Aren’t His ways so much higher than ours?  He spoke this Universe into existence and created each of us.  Is there anything that we can really do to change the course of history. It is History, is it not?

But we are told to pray for our leaders and we must. We should pray for their salvation and for their safety and that God would use them in mighty ways.

I always find peace in ending my prayers with “According to Your will Lord.”

Brethren, if we see evil rearing it’s ugly head in the coming months and years – cry out to God. He desires our prayers.

From gotquestions.com

Question:  “How and why should we pray for our leaders?”

So how should we pray for our leaders? First, if we are uncertain that they know Jesus, we should pray for their salvation. But whether or not our leaders are Christians, we should pray that God will guide them as they guide us. We should pray that they be wise and discerning and surrounded by helpful advisors. We know that God has placed our leaders in authority over us (Romans 13:1), and we can ask Him to use them as He will. We should also pray for their protection. When praying for pastors or ministry leaders, we can pray for them to have strength in the midst of spiritual warfare and to remain encouraged in the Lord. We can pray for their families, who often feel scrutinized and bear an extra load.

Briefly stated, we should mention our leaders before God in prayer and ask Him to have His way in their hearts, to support those around them, and to use their leadership to benefit their followers. – source

And then leave it with God.

Top US General Says American Troops Should Be Ready To Die For Israel

Brethren, this should make any student of Bible Prophecy sit up and take notice!

From zerohedge.com

I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same…” This is the oath of enlistment that every American military service member or federal employee takes upon entry into government service (with slight variation for commissioned officers).

With the largest joint U.S.-Israeli air defense exercise ever conducted having recently concluded, which involved over 2,500 American service personnel, and in the midst of heightened Israeli involvement in the Syrian war, we find ourselves asking…

Are US troops ready to fight and to die for America’s Israel’s defense? …We think not, but there are US generals out there enthusiastically promoting the idea.

Earlier this month, in the midst of the 9th annual 12-day massive joint exercise named “Juniper Cobra” which was hailed in Israeli media as the largest of its kind, simulating a “battle on three fronts” (namely, Syria-Lebanon-Gaza Strip) US Third Air Force Commander Lt. Gen. Richard Clark spelled out just such a scenario wherein US troops could be asked to fight and to die for defense of America Israel – even to the point of being placed under Israeli commanders responsible for battlefield decision making.

While major joint military exercises involving significant troop deployments are nothing new for the US and its allies (Juniper Cobra itself has been conducted annually for nearly a decade), Lt. Gen. Clark’s words to Israeli media are truly precedent setting and shocking, especially as he is among the highest ranking military officers in the US armed forces.

It is well worth reading the alarming scenario Gen. Clark laid out while speaking to the Jerusalem Post in its entirety:

“The United States and Israel enjoy a strong and enduring military-to-military partnership built on a trust that has been developed over decades of cooperation,” said USAF Third Air Force commander Lt.-Gen. Richard Clark, who also serves as the commander for the deploying Joint Task Force – Israel.

“The Juniper Cobra exercises continue to strengthen this relationship, providing us with the opportunity to bolster interoperability and develop seamless integration with our Israeli partners.”

According to Clark, the US and Israeli troops will work side-by-side under each other’s relevant chain of command.

But this is where Clark pushes far across the normative “military-to-military partnership” characteristic of joint drills with other allied nations. He says that US troops should be prepared to die for the Jewish State:

“As far as decision-making, it is a partnership,” he continued, stressing nonetheless that “at the end of the day it is about the protection of Israel – and if there is a question in regards to how we will operate, the last vote will probably go to Zvika [Brig.-Gen. Zvika Haimovitch, head of the IDF’s Aerial Defense Division].”

Washington and Israel have signed an agreement which would see the US come to assist Israel with missile defense in times of war and, according to [Israeli commander] Haimovitch, “I am sure once the order comes we will find here US troops on the ground to be part of our deployment team to defend the State of Israel.”

And those US troops who would be deployed to Israel, are prepared to die for the Jewish state, Clark said. “We are ready to commit to the defense of Israel anytime we get involved in a kinetic fight there is always the risk that there will be casualties. But we accept that – as every conflict we train for and enter, there is always that possibility,” he said.

And it appears that both military leaders are in agreement on this point – that they are ready and willing to put US troops in harm’s way in pursuit of Israeli defense policy.

Disturbingly, Clark acknowledges willingness for life-and-death battlefield decisions impacting American soldiers to be placed in the hands of the Israeli chain of command in saying: “if there is a question in regards to how we will operate, the last vote will probably go to [Israeli General] Zvika.”

While in more stable times in the Middle East, Clark’s words might possibly be dismissed as hyperbole and misplaced enthusiasm for “the mission” – his words come as Israel is already actively involved on two fronts: Gaza and Syria. And according to many analysts and reports, including one recently leaked internal Israeli defense memo, Israel is ramping up for devastating engagement along a third front as Tel Aviv continues to view Lebanese Hezbollah to its north as the prime threat to Israeli security.

Should broader war break out between Israel, Hezbollah, Iran, and Syria, will US troops who find themselves working closely with the IDF be forced to obey the commands of Israeli generals, even to the point of death? We can’t find anything in the oath of enlistment or the Constitution [federal statute in 10 U.S.C. 502, and based in Article VI of the Constitution] that requires US citizens or soldiers to defend and fight for a foreign nation. source

As Jan Markell often says : Things are not falling apart – they are coming together.  I agree with this observation.  And as Pastor JD often says  – “It’s when things are revving up, that we will know that the time of the Rapture is soon upon us.”

Brethren – Pray for the peace of Jerusalem and pray for our American soldiers who are willing to lay down their lives for Israel!

Shalom b’Yeshua
