The author of confusion and the father of lies, continues to work in the minds of people all over the world. The mind is the devil’s battlefield and playground. He does not have to yell. The thoughts which he puts into the minds of people – especially church going people – are subtle and believable and sometimes nothing more than a whisper.
Perhaps he whispers this:
“Certainly you have done many more good deeds than you have bad deeds. God is looking for those who care greatly about their fellow man. This is enough to get you into heaven. Don’t listen to those who would bring you down and call you a sinner. You are righteous in the eyes of God – He sees your good works.”
This is the “Social Gospel.”
What is wrong with the above paragraph? Sounds good, doesn’t it? It may sound good, but it does not come from the Word of God – the Bible. It comes from the devil himself. He knows that his time is short, and he is working to bring many people with him to hell.
Our Good works before we are saved
Have you read from the Word what God thinks of our good works before we are born again?
“You are indeed angry, for we have sinned— In these ways we continue; And we need to be saved.
But we are all like an unclean thing, And all our righteousnesses are like filthy rags; We all fade as a leaf, And our iniquities, like the wind, Have taken us away. And there is no one who calls on Your name, Who stirs himself up to take hold of You; For You have hidden Your face from us, And have consumed us because of our iniquities” (Isaiah 64:5b-7).
We can not work our way to heaven
Ephesians 2:8-9 says:
“For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.”
Are you a sinner?
When the original sin was committed in the Garden of Eden, and God sent Adam and Eve from the Garden; the sin nature fell upon us all. Some say “Well, I wasn’t there in the Garden!” But nevertheless, sin made its way into our flesh, and to this day we are born into sin.
“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23).
Pride
I do believe that many are kept away from true Salvation because of pride. They don’t want to think of themselves as inherently bad people who need to be saved. So week after week, they attend their church services; some are active in many ministries and are at the front door of the church whenever it opens.
Why would God the Father send His only Begotten Son?
If we could save ourselves, why in the world would the Father send Jesus to die that horrific death upon the Cross? John the Baptist said of Him:
“The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, “Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!” (John 1:29).
The Ten Commandments
The Lord gave Moses the Ten Commandments to show His holiness, His Righteousness; His perfection. But He also gave those Commandments to Moses to show us that we are not able to keep every Commandment. If we break one – we break them all.
The Old Testament was pointing the way to the Savior of the World, Jesus Christ. The OT is filled with prophecies about Jesus – many of which have been fulfilled to the letter. There are many to be fulfilled in the future. From the beginning, God knew that we were helpless. Why do you think that the Israelites were told to sacrifice a lamb on the altar for their sins?
But when Jesus came, He was the ultimate, perfect and final sacrifice for all of the sin in all of the world.
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved” (John 3:16-17).
The Most Important Question
God is asking you this day if you have repented of your sinful ways (agreed with God that you are a sinner) and have you trusted His Son Jesus for paying your sin debt, that you could never pay?
“For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him” (2 Corinthians 5:21). (Emphasis added)
It is not too late
You may have been attending the same church for many years. It is not too late to accept God’s free gift of Salvation right now!
“For He says:
“In an acceptable time I have heard you, And in the day of salvation I have helped you.”
Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation” (2 Corinthians 6:2).
If you feel that this article is speaking to your heart, then pray this prayer (or one just like it) to tell God that you are sorry that you thought that you could make it into heaven with Jesus:
“Father God, I come to You now as a sinner in need of You. I agree with Your Word that we all have sinned and cannot save ourselves. I ask that Jesus would come into my heart and make me righteous in Your eyes. I trust His death on the Cross and his Resurrection 3 days later as payment for my sin. Please make me the person You want me to be. For it is in the name of Jesus that I pray. Amen.”
If you just prayed this prayer in sincerity, the angels in heaven are rejoicing! Welcome to the family of God!
God may even use you in your church to go forward and tell the congregation what has happened to you!
After receiving so many emails about my article on “women pastors” asking about the book referenced in the article; I decided to republish an article I wrote on “Jesus Calling” over two years ago.
The Mystical New Age Roots of “Jesus Calling”
We have been searching for a Bible based church. For a long time, my husband and I have been worshiping from home; watching pastors and preachers whom we have come to trust and love via Youtube. We do miss fellowship and we are aware that God wants us to be in fellowship with other believers.
For the last two Sundays we visited a Baptist church. This church ordains women as pastors. The head pastor is a man. We do not believe that the Word of God supports women being pastors.
Knowing that we will probably not find a church where we agree on every point, we know that some things are essential, while others are non-essential to salvation. I have often spoken of the slippery slope in many of my articles that leadership finds itself on when they stray from the Word. It is inevitable.
A baby was being dedicated on the first Sunday we visited the new church. A book was presented to the parents of the baby. The name of the book was “Jesus Calling.” I had read about this book, and knew that it was very controversial, but I had no idea how wrong this book was for any Christian to be reading.
I know that this article is going to upset many people who have come to love Jesus Calling. My job as a writer is to speak truth. I have no control over the readers’ reaction, but I must speak truth; and hopefully I will reach some Christians with the truth. I pray that this piece will help many to see that Jesus Calling is not a book that Jesus would have them read.
“Jesus Calling” is a New Age mystical book which Christians should completely avoid.
Answer: The phrase sola scriptura is from the Latin: sola having the idea of “alone,” “ground,” “base,” and the word scriptura meaning “writings”—referring to the Scriptures. Sola scriptura means that Scripture alone is authoritative for the faith and practice of the Christian. The Bible is complete, authoritative, and true. “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness” (2 Timothy 3:16). [1]
It says in Timothy 3:16, that all Scripture is God-breathed. Just as He breathed life into Adam, He breathed the Words of the Bible – penned by men, but under His inspiration. It is so vitally important for the believer to read God’s Word. It is food for the soul. God speaks to us through His Word.
Have you ever read a verse of Scripture that you have read many times before, but suddenly the words just jumped off the page and into your heart? God was speaking to you through His Word, and helping you with whatever you were going through at that particular time.
“For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart” (Hebrews 4:12)
Jesus Calling
The author of this book, Sarah Young, modeled her book after “God Calling” – a book written in the early 1930s. This book was written by two “listeners” who said that they would come into the presence of God and begin to write what they thought He was saying. It is a New Age practice called automatic writing. The New Age followers believe that they are channeling spirits who impart knowledge to them. We know that these so-called spirits are demons.
Isn’t it just like Satan to deceive the children of God? In “Jesus Calling”, Sarah Young also claims that she came into God’s presence and listened and then wrote what she felt He was saying to her. She writes as if Jesus Himself is speaking.
Doesn’t it make you wonder who was saying the things for Miss Young to write? I have skimmed through many of the writings in this book, and on the surface they seem innocuous. But I have wondered why so many millions of Christians would resort to reading this book, when we have the Word of God. Why do they need more? Who is whispering to them that they need more?
I see that Sarah Young now has a book out for children, and even a Jesus Calling bible! This alarms me, and makes me wonder why so many Christians lack discernment. It is obvious to me that Satan is confusing and deceiving God’s children. But if these same people would read the Word of God, they would see that everything they need to know is right there in His Word!
Harper Collins publishes “Jesus Calling” books. Harper Collins also publishes the Satanic Bible. Coincidence? I think not.
Back to the church that my husband and I visited; we had the pastor come to our home to speak with us about some of our concerns. I had already told him about being alarmed that the church would present Jesus Callingto the parents of a baby being dedicated. When we began to speak with him about this, he shut us down by saying that his wife loves Jesus Calling and that all of these books bring her peace. So, the book is okay because his wife loves it? I was speechless.
I began to connect the dots. I thought to myself that this pastor believes that it is okay to ordain women as pastors, and he was influenced by his wife about the spiritual legitimacy of Jesus Calling. My mind traveled back to the Scriptures about the Garden of Eden. It was Eve who was deceived by Satan. Adam sinned willfully. I believe that he did this because of his love for Eve. He put her above God.
If this pastor believed the Word of God, and studied it as any pastor should, he would have seen the error of his ways. God would have spoken to him through His Word. But instead he did what he thought was right.
“There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death” (Proverbs 14:12).
Warren Smith on “Jesus Calling”
Warren Smith wrote a book entitled Another Jesus Calling. In this insightful book, Mr. Smith asks the question “Is this really our Savior speaking?” I would encourage any readers of this article, who are defensive about Sarah Young’s book, to purchase Another Jesus Calling. Warren Smith believes (as I do) that this is just part of the Emerging Church movement, where contemplative prayer and eastern mediation is encouraged.
Please pass this article on to anyone you know who is reading Jesus Calling. I pray that the Lord will bring many away from this counterfeit book and back into His book – the Bible.
Twelve years ago, my husband and I attended a Baptist church. We loved it there. It was like our second home.
My husband and I were very involved with the music ministry. The choir director was retiring, so the church decided to hire an interim replacement. What happened next was truly shocking.
We were sitting behind the new music minister before service, and my husband struck up a conversation with him. I will never forget what was said. During the conversation, my husband told him that I was a Jewish believer in Christ. The man turned to me and said:
“Your people think that they have the corner on every market.”
I was so stunned by this remark that I was speechless. My husband clearly heard what this man had said. Neither of us responded to it. I wish we had responded right when he said it.
We went to our deacon about what had happened. He was shocked and he told us that the head pastor needed to know about this. There was to be a business meeting the next Sunday, and the congregation was going to vote on whether to give the new music director a contract. Our deacon stressed the importance of our pastor knowing about this man and what he had said.
The Call to our Pastor
We called our pastor and told him what had transpired. He acted shocked, and told us that we needed to call this man and ask why he would say such a thing. He gave us his number.
We called the man – my husband was on the line with me. We asked him why he would say such an anti-Semitic thing to me. He was enraged. He denied ever saying it. He was yelling at us – saying that we made this up. My husband told him that we both heard it clearly. The man continued his rant. Finally, we said goodbye to him. The yelling and screaming was not what we expected. I even thought that perhaps he would apologize. If that had happened, I would have forgiven him immediately.
We called our pastor back and told him what had happened during the call. We told him that this man flatly denied saying this to us. Pastor said to me “Well, it’s his word against yours.” My husband said to pastor: “I heard it too – clear as a bell.” To that pastor responded “You don’t count; you’re her husband.” My husband told our pastor that we would not be able to continue to worship the Lord in this church. The pastor said “Well, that is your choice.”
I was absolutely crushed. I thought that the pastor considered us part of his flock.
It was clear that losing us as members of his church was less important than securing a leader for our music. The music ministry was very dynamic, and maybe pastor thought that he would lose people if the ministry did not flourish.
My mistake
I was so hurt by these events, but also I felt that the congregation needed to know who they would be hiring. I sent out an email to many in the congregation and told them what had happened and why we had to leave. In retrospect, I feel that I should not have done that. It was an impulsive move on my part, and it came out of feeling so betrayed.
I’ve spoken in other articles about the anti-Semitism I experienced in the world. I learned to expect that. The Jewish people are hated by many in this world. But the words of the music minister crushed me. And the reaction and response of our pastor crushed me even more.
Ironically, the new interim music minister broke his contract with the church within a few months.
A Funeral
Just a few years after we had left the church, we returned to attend a funeral. The daughter of friends of ours had been struck by a vehicle, and she and her boyfriend were killed. We felt so welcomed by so many people at the funeral. They said how much they missed us. I saw the wife of an assistant pastor and went to give her a hug. I said to her that my husband and I were thinking of coming back. She backed off and said to me that she didn’t think that the head pastor would want us back. I felt like my heart broke inside my chest. This woman did not know that we saw the head pastor at a meeting of SBC pastors; and that I had gone up to this man and had given him a hug and said that all was well.
The Pastor and his Sin
We all have sin, even after we are born again – we have sin in our lives. We are still in these bodies of flesh, and the flesh wars against the spirit. But the Lord tells us in His Word:
“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness” (1 John 1:9).
We found out years after we had left that church, that the pastor had been found to have an innapropriate relationship with a woman he was counseling. The deacons told the pastor that they wanted him to step down for a year from his position. He refused, and took half of the congregation with him. He started a new church.
Returning to the Church
Last Sunday, my husband and I decided we would return to this church. We took our grandson with us. We felt a certain coldness -though not from everyone. There was one gentleman who was so glad to see us and showed much love to us. But he was the only one.
I asked for prayer on FB from my brothers and sisters in Christ. I said that my husband and I needed to hear from the Lord on a matter of great importance to us. Many prayed for us. And I do believe that we heard the Lord’s answer.
A brother in Christ wrote that “forgiveness does not always mean reconciliation.” I believe that is true for us on this earth. Reconciliation would be best, but there are times when the Lord does break off relationships. He is omniscient and sees the future. He always knows what is best for us. But forgiveness is so vitally important to Him.
I am grateful that forgiveness does mean reconciliation when we are born again and reconciled to the Father!
I know that when we are in heaven, I will see many of the people who did not welcome us back to the church. But you know what? I think that God will wipe away these memories, just as He wipes our tears away.
As I was reading the top news story today about the horrifying bucket bomb in London, I thought I would do some research on London’s Muslim mayor – Sadiq Kahn.
Before I show the reader my findings, I want to explain some truths about Islam. This so-called “religion of peace” is not religion at all. It is a Totalitarian Political system, bent on world domination. How clever of Satan to create Islam. Its imams cloaked with robes of religion give Islam a semblance of piety – daring the world to speak against it.
I encourage the reader to carefully read this article to fully understand the tactics of Islamists. As the world continues to abort their babies; not so for Muslims. They are encouraged to have large families and abortion is not acceptable. Just do the math….
How Islam progressively takes over countries
In Dr. Peter Hammond’s book, “Slavery, Terrorism and Islam,” he documents the way Muslims slowly develop a presence in various countries and as their population numbers build, become more aggressive and assertive about exercising Sharia law.
“Islam is not a religion, nor is it a cult. In its fullest form, it is a complete, total, 100% system of life,” Dr. Hammond notes in his book. “Islam has religious, legal, political, economic, social, and military components. The religious component is a beard for all of the other components.”
Their takeover of a country, what Dr. Hammond refers to as “Islamization,” begins when the population of Muslims reaches a critical mass, and they being to agitate for various privileges.
Open, free, democratic societies are particularly vulnerable. “When politically correct, tolerant, and culturally diverse societies agree to Muslim demands for their religious privileges, some of the other components tend to creep in as well,” he notes.
This is how it works, according to Dr. Hammond:
When the Muslim population remains under 2% in a country, they will be seen primarily as a peace-loving minority and not as a threat to other citizens. This is the current situation in:
United States — Muslim 0.6%
Australia — Muslim 1.5%
Canada — Muslim 1.9%
China — Muslim 1.8%
Italy — Muslim 1.5%
Norway — Muslim 1.8%
As the Muslim population reaches 2% to 5%, they begin to recruit from ethnic minorities and disaffected groups, within prisons and street gangs. This is happening in:
Denmark — Muslim 2%
Germany — Muslim 3.7%
United Kingdom — Muslim 2.7%
Spain — Muslim 4%
Thailand — Muslim 4.6%
“From 5% on, they exercise an inordinate influence in proportion to their percentage of the population,” Dr. Hammond notes. “For example, they will push for the introduction of halal (clean by Islamic standards) food” and increase pressure on supermarket chains to feature such food on their shelves — along with threats for failure to comply. This is happening in:
France — Muslim 8%
Philippines — 5%
Sweden — Muslim 5%
Switzerland — Muslim 4.3%
The Netherlands — Muslim 5.5%
Trinidad & Tobago — Muslim 5.8%
Soon they begin to apply pressure to allow Sharia law within their own communities (sometimes ghettos).
“When Muslims approach 10% of the population, they tend to increase lawlessness as a means of complaint about their conditions,” Dr. Hammond notes. “In Paris, we are already seeing car-burnings. Any non-Muslim action offends Islam, and results in uprisings and threats, such as in Amsterdam, with opposition to Mohammed cartoons and films about Islam.” These tensions are seen on a regular basis in:

India — Muslim 13.4%
Israel — Muslim 16%

The violence increases when the Muslim population reaches 20%. “After reaching 20%, nations can expect hair-trigger rioting, jihad militia formations, sporadic killings, and the burnings of Christian churches and Jewish synagogues,” such as in:

“At 40%, nations experience widespread massacres, chronic terror attacks, and ongoing militia warfare,” such as in:

A 100% Muslim society will theoretically usher in their version of peace — the peace of ‘Dar-es-Salaam’ — the Islamic House of Peace. “Here there’s supposed to be peace, because everybody is a Muslim, the Madrassas are the only schools, and the Koran is the only word,” such as in:
Afghanistan — Muslim 100%
Saudi Arabia — Muslim 100%
Somalia — Muslim 100%
Yemen — Muslim 100%
Dr. Hammond observes this Islamic ideal is seldom realized. “Unfortunately, peace is never achieved, as in these 100% states the most radical Muslims intimidate and spew hatred, and satisfy their blood lust by killing less radical Muslims, for a variety of reasons.”
“It is important to understand that in some countries, with well under 100% Muslim populations, such as France, the minority Muslim populations live in ghettos, within which they are 100% Muslim, and within which they live by Sharia law,” he states.
Dr. Hammond is also concerned by demographic trends. “Today’s 1.5 billion Muslims make up 22% of the world’s population,” he observes. “But their birth rates dwarf the birth rates of Christians, Hindus, Buddhists, Jews, and all other believers. Muslims will exceed 50% of the world’s population by the end of this century.”

Now, on to Sadiq Khan, Mayor of London
Who is this man?
The total number of Muslims in London has topped 3 million. Therefore, it is not difficult to understand how Mr. Khan was elected to his position as mayor of London.
Sadiq Kahn, a lawyer, represented one of the conspirators of the 9/11 terrorist attack on America.

And he’s leading London’s “fight” against Islamic Terrorism?
Before Sadiq Khan became mayor of London, he was a lawyer who represented Islamic extremists, including a 9/11 conspirator, and held other close associations with terror groups Hamas, the Muslim Brotherhood, and al-Qaeda to name a few. Video has recently surfaced (above) of some of these ties as well as a report published by ZeroHedge.
Former UK Prime Minister David Cameron faced criticism for warning that Khan was tied to ISIS, but according to the published report, Disobedient Media determined Cameron was right on the mark:
Khan has ties not just to organizations associated with ISIS, but also groups such as Hamas, Al-Nusra, Al-Qaeda and the Muslim Brotherhood. During his time as mayor, London has seen an increase in terror incidents with concerning indications that terror groups wish to stage a major attack on the City of London. Rather than focusing on combatting terror, Khan has used his forum to tell Londoners as well as citizens in other parts of Europe and the United States that the West must learn to live with terrorism as a part of daily life. Khan’s extreme flirtation with radical Islamic extremism raises serious questions about his commitment to fighting a wave of extremist fueled terrorism that only continues to spread after a number of attacks and police operations in London and other areas of the UK. (emphasis added)
TruthRevolt reported that Mayor Khan disinvited President Trump from visiting London since both politicians have such opposite views on fighting terrorism. Whereas Trump wants to get tough, Khan acquiesces. A look at the specific claims of his terror-tied past gives us new insight into why he continues to harbor terrorists:
During his time as a legal advocate, Sadiq Khan served as the Chief Legal Advisor of the Muslim Council of Britain’s legal affairs committee. Khan was a member of a delegation organized by the Muslim Council of Britain in 2003 to protest what they described as “indiscriminate” arrests of Muslims for alleged terror ties. The Muslim Council of Britain was placed under investigation by the British government over “irregularities” surrounding £1,263,000 in aid given to it by the government. In the past it has admitted to funding groups tied to both Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad and is banned from Israel as a result of its ties to terror.
[In 2004] Khan spoke out in defense of Qatar-based Egyptian cleric Sheikh Yusuf al-Qaradawi, who has praised suicide attacks and decreed that homosexuality is a crime under Islam. Qaradawi has travelled directly to Gaza for the purpose of providing Hamas with ideological legitimacy and stated that Palestinian suicide attacks against the nation of Israel are justified. Qaradawi was also barred from entering into the United States in 1999, the UK in 2008, and France in 2012.
In 2009, Khan acted as a member of an international campaign which sought to resist attempts to extradite Babar Ahmad and Syed Talha Ahsan for their role in providing material support to the Taliban and Chechen jihadist groups via a number of websites they ran under the name of Azzam Publications. Ahmad and Ahsan were ultimately extradited to the United States, where they pled guilty to terrorism charges.
Khan went to visit Babar Ahmad on multiple occasions between May 21, 2005 and June 2006, while he was being held in Woodhill prison awaiting a ruling on his extradition request. It was reported that Khan visited Ahmad, not in his capacity as an MP, but as a friend, as the two had known each other since they were children.
Sadiq Khan has historically maintained close relational and professional ties with groups associated with both Al-Qaeda and ISIS. During the 1990’s, Khan’s brother in law Makbool Javaid gave fiery public addresses advocating jihad and whose name even appeared on a fatwa calling for holy war against the United Kingdom and United States. Javaid was a member of the Islamic group Al-Muhajiroun. Al-Muhajiroun was founded by Islamic hate preacher Omar Bakri Muhammad, who has been banned from the UK since 2005 and acted as a sponsor and recruiter of British jihadists seeking to join ISIS.
While Khan has tried to distance himself from his brother in law and Al-Muhajiroun, in 2003 he shared a stage with Sajeel Abu Ibrahim, another member of Al-Muhajiroun and convicted terrorist who ran a camp in Pakistan which trained Taliban militants and Al-Qaeda 7/7 bomber Mohammad Sidique Khan.
In 2004, Khan made an “error of judgement” by attending four meetings organized by Stop Political Terror, a group supported by Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula senior recruiter Anwar al-Awlaki.
In 2008, reports revealed that Khan was serving as a legal consultant for convicted 9/11 plotter Zacarius Moussaoui. It was further revealed that Khan was the only practicing Muslim on Moussaoui’s defense team. Moussaoui was ultimately extradited to the US, where he pled guilty to taking part in the 9/11 attacks.
Khan also regularly attended Tooting Islamic Center (TIC), which was run by Suliman Ghani. Gani is a vocal supporter of convicted Al Qaeda operative Aafia Siddiqui, as well as a supporter of former Guantanamo Bay detainee Shaker Aamer. Khan has shared a platform with the controversial imam at least nine times between 2004 and 2013.
Sadiq Khan claims that much of his association with various individuals and groups tied to jihad and terrorism was a result of his work as a human rights lawyer. However, The Daily Beast has noted that Khan did not attend the majority of these events in his capacity as a lawyer at all. Khan has a long history of making off color comments justifying sectarianism and terror. He has repeatedly had to apologize for comments he has made smearing moderate Muslims and telling Europeans and Americans to expect terrorism as a part of living in metropolitan areas.
And that’s just scratching the surface. The report goes into much more detail. But the summary above raises plenty of red flags as to why London continues to be attacked: An Islamic sympathizer is in office.
Brothers and sisters in Christ – I hope that you can discern the satanic influence within Islam. Just as Satan is so crafty, so are the Islamists whose life’s work is to dominate nation by nation with sharia law.
The terrorist attacks and carnage will continue – there is no doubt about that. But as born again believers in our Messiah Jesus, we are to continue to share the Gospel with the unsaved until we are Raptured or we die and stand in the presence of our Glorious Lord.
There are Muslims in the Middle East who have been visited in their dreams by the Lord Jesus. Scores of Muslims are leaving their false religion and are coming to Christ!
