There are no coincidences or random happenings in this world. God is in control of everything that happens, and everything is significant.
Adolph Hitler’s “Mein Kampf” ( My Struggle) was banned in Germany at the end of WWII. Last year the ban was lifted, and now it it the best selling book in Germany. As a Jewish Christian, this turns my stomach and makes me very sad.
But not only is Hitler’s book a best seller in Germany, but it was translated into Arabic and is now the best selling book in the Middle East.
Most people think that the only translation of “Jihad” is “Holy War.” It also means in Arabic a “personal struggle.” Personal struggle? Mein Kampf – “My Struggle.” Not a coincidence, brethren.
Pastor JD Farag
My husband and I watch Pastor JD’s prophecy update every Sunday evening. Tonight Pastor JD spoke about Barack Obama, and how he holds the key to a possible forced two state solution by the UN. If Obama does not veto this UN Two State resolution, then it will certainly prevail. And if this does happen because of America’s president, we are done as a nation.
“And I will bless them that bless thee, andcurse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed” (Genesis 12:3). (Emphasis mine)
The UN’s two state solution known as “Final Status Solution” sounds eerily like the “Final Solution” of Hitler, does it not? Is Jihad not Hitler’s Final Solution repackaged? The eradication of Jews from the planet. Brethren – no coincidences with God!
God does not take kindly to people who attempt to carve up HIS land.
“And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it” (Zechariah 12:3).
Pastor JD said that this may be the way that Obama gets revenge on PM Netanyahu for coming against his deal with Iran.
God’s Prophetic Word
Brethren, we know that every prophetic word in the Bible will be fulfilled. Many prophecies have already come to pass. But now that God’s Chosen have come back to their land (prophecy fulfilled) all of the prophecies regarding the nations who come against Israel will also come to pass.
“And now I have told you before it come to pass, that, when it is come to pass, ye might believe” (John 14:29).
And what does He want us to believe? That He is Almighty God, who is all knowing and all powerful!
“And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell” (Matthew 10:28).
I received a video recently which had a profound effect on me. It is a compilation of various pastors speaking about the FEAR of the LORD. This piece is as much for me as for my readers. I will post the video at the end of this article.
The words spoken by the preachers in the video, forced me to look deeply within my own heart and see if I had the kind of fear of the Lord of which the Bible speaks. Did I have the right kind of reverence and fear of our Holy and Righteous and All Powerful God?
Fear and Trembling
I believe that this was the first time that I gained some understanding of this Scripture:
“Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling” (Philippians 2:12). (Emphasis mine)
Do you notice that Paul said to the Philippians that they should obey God even more when Paul was not with them? He said they should work out their own salvation with fear and trembling. I believe that Paul was trying to impart to the people that they were to be always aware that their lives were laid bare in the sight of God; and that in His presence (always) they should have a holy reverence of Him. They should fear Him.
“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding” (Proverbs 9:10).
Things we say
I have said many times that God does not send anyone to hell – but that a person sends himself/herself there. I have repented of saying this to the lost. God DOES throw people into hell who have rejected His only Son, and insist on rebelling against Him! He is GOD. He created the Universe and everything in it. He spoke the heavens into existence.
In the face of gross sin, which He cannot abide, this Holy God sent His only begotten Son, Jesus, to pay OUR sin debt – a debt we are not able to pay. He did this out of His great love for us. He wanted us to be reconciled to Himself. But many reject Him because they love their sin more.
Baby Jesus Meek and Mild
When you think of Jesus, do you still have him in swaddling clothes, in Mary’s arms? The beauty of His coming to earth as a baby is something that even the heathens love to celebrate. Many who do not acknowledge Jesus as Lord and Savior, will admire a creche – “Oh, how lovely!” they exclaim.
Many in the Church are contented to keep the Lord Jesus Christ in a manger. They much prefer the celebration of his birth than they do the Resurrection! Without the Resurrection, we are all hell bound!
Up from the grave he arose; with a mighty triumph o’er his foes; he arose a victor from the dark domain, and he lives forever, with his saints to reign. He arose! He arose! Hallelujah! Christ arose!
This is what John saw and heard when he was taken to heaven:
“And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last: I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death” (Revelation 1: 17-18).
I believe that the Lord told John to “fear not” because He knew that John had a holy fear of Him, but wanted John to truly understand, so that he could write down the words of his experience for us.
Do you think because a church has thousands of members, that the preaching from its pastors must be sound and Scripturally based? The prophets of old did not draw large crowds! False prophets did. They told the people what they wanted to hear!
Most of the mega churches are filled with people with itching ears. The leaders of these churches give the people what they want, as long as the checks keep coming in. No mention of hell or judgment. Woe to these preachers! The blood of their congregations are on their hands!
He had no beginning and has no end
How can we even attempt to fathom this truth about our God? Try to think about it! He is the Alpha and the Omega. He is Omniscient (All knowing) and Omnipresent (Present everywhere at the same time) and Omnipotent (All powerful).
Paul feared the Lord. It is so apparent in all of the Epistles, but I think that Philippians 3 is filled with Paul’s reverence of God. (Any bolding is mine)
“Finally, my brethren, rejoice in the Lord. To write the same things to you, to me indeed is not grievous, but for you it is safe.
Beware of dogs, beware of evil workers, beware of the concision.
For we are the circumcision, which worship God in the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh.
Though I might also have confidence in the flesh. If any other man thinketh that he hath whereof he might trust in the flesh, I more:
Circumcised the eighth day, of the stock of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, an Hebrew of the Hebrews; as touching the law, a Pharisee;
Concerning zeal, persecuting the church; touching the righteousness which is in the law, blameless.
But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ.
Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ,
And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:
That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;
If by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead.
Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus.
Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,
I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded: and if in any thing ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you.
Nevertheless, whereto we have already attained, let us walk by the same rule, let us mind the same thing.
Brethren, be followers together of me, and mark them which walk so as ye have us for an ensample.
(For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ:
Whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things.)
For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ:
Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.”
Oh Father, help us to never come before You casually. Help us to know You more, and to have the reverence and fear of You, which only You deserve. We struggle in this flesh, so please help us to worship You in spirit and in truth. We long for You and long to hear that last trumpet sound. Heaven is our home and we have come to detest this earth and all the evil in it. We know, Lord Jesus, that You will come at the appointed time. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen.
