A Georgia monument that is referred to as the “American Stonehenge” and believed by some to be satanic was partially destroyed in a bombing attack Wednesday, officials said.

The explosive device went off around 4 a.m. near the Georgia Guidestones, a site about 7 miles north of Elberton, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation said.

Elbert County Sheriff’s Office personnel responded to the scene to discover a large portion of the monument was obliterated.

Photos showed one of the four stone panels of the 42-year-old monument had been blown off.

Neighbors reportedly heard the explosion, WSB-TV said.

The 19-foot-high Georgia Guidestones were erected in 1980 and have been a source of mystery ever since; it was commissioned by an unknown person or group under the name R.C. Christian.

The structure, which is a historical monument, displays a 10-part message espousing the conservation of mankind and future generations in eight modern languages — English, Spanish, Swahili, Hindi, Hebrew, Arabic, Chinese and Russian — and four ancient languages — Babylonian, Classical Greek, Sanskrit and Ancient Egyptian. The Guidestones also serve as an astronomical calendar.

The Guidestones, which also call for keeping world population at 500 million or below, have been heavily scrutinized by conspiracy theorists.

Former Georgia gubernatorial Republican candidate Kandiss Taylor claimed the Guidestones are satanic and made demolishing them part of her platform.

“God is God all by Himself. He can do ANYTHING He wants to do. That includes striking down Satanic Guidestones,” Taylor tweeted a few hours after the bombing.

“Over the years, the Guidestones have created lots of discussion and brought visitors to Elbert County from all over the world,” the Elbert Chamber of Commerce wrote on Facebook. “Whatever your personal opinion on the Guidestones is, this attack is bad for our community. We hope that whomever is responsible is apprehended and brought to justice.”

The monument has previously been attacked by vandals.

Elbert County sheriff’s deputies, Elberton police and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation are all investigating the latest attack. SOURCE

I believe that there is a chance that GOD Himself brought down that EVIL SATANIC structure.

Perhaps He is saying to us “It won’t be much longer. Keep your eyes on Me!”

REST OF GGS LEVELED: Crews Level Rest of Georgia Guidestones after Damage From Explosive Device

From msn.com

Authorities are investigating after an explosion destroyed the Georgia Guidestones in Elbert County, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation said.

They said “unknown individuals” detonated an explosive device at around 4 a.m. on Wednesday. The Elbert County Sheriff’s Office responded to discover the explosion destroyed a large portion of the structure, they said.

According to multiple people nearby, the explosion was heard in the area and even shook their homes. Some shared images showing debris near the stones.

11Alive’s Dawn White reported from the scene in Elbert County in the evening that crews had gone in to level the remaining standing parts of the Guidestones.

Video from the scene showed construction equipment and the stone blocks in a rubble heap.

Georgia slabs called satanic by some torn down after bombing

ATLANTA (AP) — A rural Georgia monument that some conservative Christians criticized as satanic and others dubbed “America’s Stonehenge” was demolished Wednesday after a predawn bombing turned one of its four granite panels into rubble.

The Georgia Guidestones monument near Elberton was damaged by an explosive device, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation said, and later knocked down “for safety reasons,” leaving a pile of rubble in a picture that investigators published.

Surveillance footage showed a sharp explosion blowing one panel to rubble just after 4 a.m. Investigators also released video of a silver sedan leaving the monument.

After prior vandalism, video cameras connected to the county’s emergency dispatch center were stationed at the site, said Elbert Granite Association Executive Vice President Chris Kubas.

The enigmatic roadside attraction was built in 1980 from local granite, commissioned by an unknown person or group under the pseudonym R.C. Christian.

“That’s given the guidestones a sort of shroud of mystery around them, because the identity and intent of the individuals who commissioned them is unknown,” said Katie McCarthy, who researches conspiracy theories for the Anti-Defamation League. “And so that has helped over the years to fuel a lot of speculation and conspiracy theories about the guidestones’ true intent.”

The 16-foot-high (5-meter-high) panels bore a 10-part message in eight different languages with guidance for living in an “age of reason.” One part called for keeping world population at 500 million or below, while another calls to “guide reproduction wisely — improving fitness and diversity.”

It also served as a sundial and astronomical calendar. But it was the panels’ mention of eugenics, population control and global government that made them a target of far-right conspiracists.

The monument’s notoriety took off with the rise of the internet, Kubas said, until it became a roadside tourist attraction, with thousands visiting each year.

Brothers and sisters in Christ, something is not allowing me to finish this article. We all know that AP is Leftist. I just wanted the readership to know that the GGS was leveled.

Mysterious Georgia Guidestones Brought Down After Heavy Damage From Explosion

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation stated at noon that around 4 a.m. on Wednesday morning, “unknown individuals” detonated an explosive device that destroyed a “large portion” of the mysterious structure.

A video taken by SKYFOXshowed that one of the four pillars of the structure had been completely destroyed, damaging the granite slab it was supporting.

By 5:16 p.m., an imageshared on Twitter by journalist Myra Ruiz showed the remnants of the Guidestones torn down by a construction crew. The reason for the toppling of the remaining three monoliths is not yet clear.

The Georgia Guidestones, dubbed “America’s Stonehenge,” are described by the Elberton Granite Finishing Corporation as a 19-foot set of granite monoliths that serve as an astronomical calendar and are engraved with a 10-part list of instructions regarding the conservation of mankind.

The text is written in eight contemporary languages — English, Spanish, Swahili, Hindi, Hebrew, Arabic, Chinese, and Russian — and four ancient languages — Babylonian cuneiform, Classical Greek, Sanskrit, and Egyptian Hieroglyphics. The text reads:

  1. “Maintain humanity under 500,000,000 in perpetual balance with nature.
  2. Guide reproduction wisely — improving fitness and diversity.
  3. Unite humanity with a living new language.
  4. Rule passion — faith — tradition — and all things with tempered reason.
  5. Protect people and nations with fair laws and just courts.
  6. Let all nations rule internally resolving external disputes in a world court.
  7. Avoid petty laws and useless officials.
  8. Balance personal rights with social duties.
  9. Prize truth — beauty — love — seeking harmony with the infinite.
  10. Be not a cancer on the Earth — Leave room for nature — Leave room for nature.”

The original sponsors of the Guidestones have remained unclear since the unveiling of the structure in 1979, along with the structure’s actual meaning.

The Guidestones have become a major tourist attraction in Georgia, drawing 10,000 visitors every year, according to the Elbert County Chamber of Commerce. However, the mysterious nature of the structure has also drawn the attention of conspiracy theorists, some of whom claim that the structure is “satanic” or meant to usher in a totalitarian world government, according to the Smithsonian magazine

Elberton Granite Association Executive Vice President Kris Kubas told Fox5 Atlanta that stationary cameras were installed around the Guidestones following previous acts of vandalism. The cameras operate at all times and feed back to a 911 dispatch center.

Conspiracy theories surrounding the Georgia Guidestones gained prominence in May, when Georgia gubernatorial candidate Kandiss Taylor posted a video on Twitter in which she vowed to tear down the structure if she was elected, an act she claimed would “bring the Satanic Regime to its knees.”

Taylor took to Twitter on Wednesday to celebrate the news of the Guidestones’ partial destruction, claiming that it was God who struck down the “Satanic Guidestones.”

When reached for comment, the GBI told the Washington Examinerthat it is not releasing information regarding suspects at this time. SOURCE
