Britt Gillette: Is the Rapture Coming This September?

Is the rapture this September?

This is a question that came up in this month’s LIVE Q&A, and at the time, I wasn’t aware of the large number of videos gaining traction on YouTube, Rumble, and other platforms in regard to the rapture of the church taking place in September of this year.

More specifically, these videos claim the rapture of the church will take place during Rosh Hashanah (The Feast of Trumpets) on September 23rd, and the Second Coming will take place seven years later on Yom Kippur (The Day of Atonement) in 2032, with these dates separated by 2,550 days – the exact number of days Daniel said the Tribulation will last.

In this video, we discuss my thoughts on this theory, and much more importantly, what the Bible has to say about it.

With the prophecy of the last trumpet blast and the feast of trumpets in the beginning of the Jewish new year, I was really thinking last September (or some future September). I think that September is a good choice. We just don’t know which September.

Britt is absolutely right to urge caution — people are so apt to get carried away in a fervour of excitement based on very little, or even absolutely no, steady grounds whatsoever.
Jesus warned of that, in this very context, in Matthew 24:23-28; just after He says the days will be shortened for the elect’s sake, He says:
“Then if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Christ!’ or ‘There!’ do not believe it.
“For false christs and false prophets will and show great signs and wonders, so as to deceive, if possible, even the elect.
“See, I have told you beforehand.
“Therefore if they say to you ‘Look, He is in the desert!’ do not go out; or ‘Look, He is in the inner rooms!’ do not believe it.
“For as the lightning comes from the east and flashes to the west, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.
“For wherever the carcass is, there the eagles will be gathered together.”
Yuk! I certainly don’t want to be sticking my head into any dead meat satan leaves lying about! Britt in smack-bang in the bull’s-eye urging caution regarding these videos, and people saying such things, and that we should do as Jesus tells us in the Bible.
The actual day and hour of the rapture is of no account for our walk: all we need to do is keep our eyes on Jesus, remember that He has said He will take up to Himself, and the signs He has given so that we can know when the rapture is imminent, and it will simply happen when God has set for it to happen.
Praise the Lord for the clarity of His Word! 🙂

  3. Excellent video! Thanks for sharing, Geri.
If people were more concerned about doing what the Lord has called them to do in the present, they wouldn’t need to waste their time concerning themselves about trying to figure out dates we are not supposed to, and cannot, know.
We can know the times by scriptural prophecies, but not days and hours. As long as we are in right relationship with Jesus and doing the work He has called us to do, it doesn’t make any difference what day or hour He will come. It will be in His perfect timing no matter when. That’s what counts, not what we conjure up.
As Britt, I too, hope it is as soon as possible, but I’m not going to stay awake at night wondering about it. Lord, just keep me in alignment with You, Your timing and Your purposes for me personally and for Your Kingdom.
