From I24news.com

Gunmen were seen in footage posted on social media dispersing the protesters, with some Palestinians responding by hurling rocks at the terrorists

As Hamas terrorists emerged from the Indonesian Hospital in the city to disperse the demonstrations, they were met by rocks hurled at them by the protesters.

One Palestinian who was at the demonstrations spoke to i24NEWS, relaying that the protesters are refusing to go home.

Slogans chanted included “Down with Hamas!”; “Hamas out!”; “Stop the war!”; and even “Release the hostages!”

The Gazan said that the Palestinians living in the enclave need protection from Hamas before the terrorists kill them.

He said that the protesters want to convey to Israelis that Gaza is not Hamas, a group hated by the Gazans, who want peace with Israel.

Brethren, I would like to know what the readers of this I24 article feel about these protesters. Do you believe that most of them or all of them are sincere?

HOW CAN I BE SAVED?

SHALOM B’YESHUA!

I really wouldn’t know what to think. I would like to believe that they are sincere; but I remember the celebrations over the hostages being released recently — especially the murdered ones, that were being cheered over by supposedly ordinary Gazans — and so, if this is not simply a ploy of Hamas to attempt making Israel look bad in the eyes of the world if they don’t back off again, then I couldn’t help it coming to mind that perhaps the Gazans are just fed up with being bombed and suchlike, and hope that it will cease if Hamas throw in the towel….?
I cannot help thinking the ploy idea the more likely of the two, for history has proved that sieges and suchlike usually don’t work very well at intimidating people. Leningrad springs to mind as an example, as far as ordinary sieges go; and as for bombing, that has an even worse record for successful intimidation — it usually seems to make people more stubborn, rather than making them wish to surrender. The Nazi air raids on London and other British cities are a prime example of that — Hitler’s bombing didn’t intimidate us, or even nearly break our spirit and make us think of surrender; neither did the R.A.F. and U.S.A.A.F. bombing of German cities make the German people wish to pack it in (though the bombing certainly did severely damage the Nazi war effort); and the American bombing raids on Japan, not even the horrible Operation Meetinghouse against Tokyo, made the Japanese contemplate surrender. Even the first atom bomb didn’t do it — they had to have a second one before they realised that they would simply have to surrender.
So, probably a Hamas ploy — especially as the gunmen don’t seem to be simply gunning these alleged protesters down as traitors, as I would expect they would do if this were not some kind of game of their own. Which, I suppose, means I do think something about it after all; but I certainly wouldn’t pretend to know quite what to think 🙂

My first thought was to wonder if this is a ploy, but i have always wondered if some Gazans really are opposed to the hate against Israel. Certainly they all suffer at the hands of Hamas. Amir Tsarfati said they had plenty of food for their feasts after fasting for Ramadan. That most have supported Hamas. But when you suffer so long you tend to rebel. Hamas is so cruel they could shut the protesters down easily and humiliate them terribly so i’m not sure what to think. Only God knows.
