Please continue to pray for Dale. He is doing better physically, but this is taking a toll on him emotionally.
He is in a rehab closer to his home. He is quite depressed. I urged him to at least talk to someone about this. Please pray for God’s will about the depression.
Praying! His body has been through huge trauma, especially his gut, which often affects our emotions…perhaps his wife could get him some potent probiotic yogurt like Activia or somesuch? And some ‘good fat’ foods like avocados or extra virgin olive oil? May God hold them and heal him & uplift with joy and peace.

I hope I have made it clear that Dale was in the hospital for over a month, and had surgery on his colon. Instead of sending him right home, his doctor decided to put him in a rehab facility for exercise etc……..

Continuing in prayer. Having been through surgery more than once, I know that both surgery & drugs used with it
( anesthesia/ pain meds), can bring on depression; also pain itself. It takes time to recover from the whole process; and elders such as we need a longer time. Sunlight for 15 minutes a day can help.
We are rooting for you, Dale!
Check out some good comedies, old musicals to enjoy, too. Laughter is good medicine! I never liked the 3 Stooges as a girl child, but recently they showed up on tv, & I laughed my head off. They really are hilarious.

Thank you Geri for keeping us updated on Dales progress. Some great suggestions here to help in his recovery, laughter and probiotics for his gut health. I find uplifting music to be helpful in fighting off unpleasant thoughts and reading the psalms. God has used David’s tears in a powerful way for thousands of people.
