‘HELP ME’: Abducted Teen Saved By Observant Bystander in California
From breitbart.com

A kidnapped Texas teen was rescued outside a California laundromat after a bystander noticed a piece of paper that read, “Help Me,” written in red ink.
The 13-year-old girl was already listed as a runaway by San Antonio authorities before she was allegedly snatched by Steven Robert Sablan, according to the United States Attorney’s Office.
The victim encountered Sablan while at a bus stop when he brandished what appeared to be a handgun and ordered her to get inside his sedan. “If you don’t get in the car with me, I am going to hurt you,” the suspect allegedly said. Once inside the vehicle, the suspect asked her how old she was, and she told him that she was 13 years old.
She later mentioned she had a friend in Australia, and Sablan allegedly said he would take her to a cruise ship. However, he told her she would have to do something for him first and then sexually assaulted her.
Over the next two days, Sablan drove the victim to California. He allegedly sexually assaulted her two more times during the road trip. On July 9, Sablan drove to a laundromat in Long Beach to wash their clothes. He left the victim in the vehicle, and she wrote, “Help Me!” on a piece of paper. A bystander noticed the piece of paper and the girl and called authorities. When police arrived, Sablan was standing outside the vehicle, and the victim was inside, mouthing the word “Help,” according to court documents.
Authorities searched the vehicle and found a black BB gun, a pair of handcuffs, and the note written by the victim.
“I want to commend our community members for their vigilance and willingness to get involved by calling 911. This incident highlights the critical role community members play in keeping people safe,” Long Beach Police Chief Wally Hebeish said in a statement.
Sablan was indicted on charges of kidnapping and transportation of a minor with intent to engage in criminal sexual activity by a federal grand jury on July 20. The 61-year-old faces a maximum life sentence.
More than 1.5 million teens and children run away each year, according to National Clearinghouse on Homeless Youth and Family.Runaways are often a prime target of sex traffickers, as 27.5% of runaways have exchanged sex for a place to stay, according to SharedHope.org. source
Lord, thank You that this young girl was rescued! I pray that this traumatizing event will draw her and her family to You for Salvation! I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.

WATCH – ‘My Heroes’: Citizen Rewards Dallas Couple Who Helped Nab Fugitive
From breitbart.com
When Cliff Freeman learned Crime Stoppers was not going to issue an award to the couple, who have six children, he knew something had to be done, Fox 4 reported Friday.
Kenyatta and Briana Jordan were shocked when Freeman gave them a check and said, “What you guys did, put yourselves at risk and took a bad guy off the street — you are my heroes for that.”
The moment Briana looked at the check, she said, “For $5,000, thank you so much.”
When the couple saw reports about the suspect, Leonard Neal, who allegedly abducted a nine-year-old boy and a seven-year-old girl, they gathered all the information they could so they would be ready in case he popped up in the area.
The suspect is accused of sexually assaulting the little girl.
When the pair saw him at a bus stop, they immediately dialed 911 to report the sighting and also followed behind the bus while telling law enforcement officers its location and other details.“He tried to escape you can see his foot hanging out the back door. He tried slitting his throat. No shooting. We’re the ones who called the police on him,” Briana explained in a July 7 social media post:
When speaking of the couple’s actions, Freeman said, “We need more heroes like you guys.” source

Google Tests AI Tool To ‘Help’ Journalists Write News Articles
From zerohedge.com
Google has reportedly been testing an AI-powered technology that will automate the production of news content, and probably put thousands of NPC journalists out of a job.
Known internally as “Genesis,” the new project aims to collaborate with organizations such as the New York Times, the Washington Post, and News Corp, according to the NY Times, citing three sources familiar with the matter.
The Genesis AI tool possesses the capability to assimilate vast amounts of data, including current events and intricate details, and generate comprehensive news articles, the sources revealed.
This development has ignited fervent debates over the future of journalism and the role of AI technology in shaping the news landscape.
Industry insiders who witnessed Google’s Genesis pitch have voiced a sense of unease, particularly over the potential for the tool to disrupt the tireless efforts of journalists in crafting authentic, compelling, and meticulously fact-checked stories.
Google says Genesis will be a boon for journalists, however, and has framed it as more of a personal assistant that can automate certain tasks, leaving journalists with more time to conduct more in-depth reporting.”We’re in the earliest stages of exploring ideas to potentially provide A.I.-enabled tools to help their journalists with their work.
Quite simply, these tools are not intended to, and cannot, replace the essential role journalists have in reporting, creating, and fact-checking their articles. Instead, they could provide options for headlines and other writing styles,” said Google spokeswoman, Jenn Crider.
Some experts aren’t so sure, such as journalism professor Jeff Jarvis, who says that if the technology can deliver factual and reliable information, it could be a valuable resource for journalists, but that it has the potential for misuse – including the fact that certain topics require nuance and cultural understanding that might get lost in translation.
The use of AI in newsrooms has become a central issue for news organizations worldwide. Many have already embraced the technology, such as the Times, NPR and Insider, all of which have told journalists to explore potential use cases.
Google Genesis, however, adds another layer of complexity to the debate, as concerns arise over potential misinformation and its impact on the perception of traditionally written news stories. source
So now we will give the job of Leftist Fake News to AI Bots! I wonder if there will be left leaning and right leaning Bots…..
