Can You Love the Lord Jesus Christ – Yet Despise His People?

As a Christian writer, there is one thing that truly makes me sad.

Whenever I write anything about Israel, the readership plummets.

I have written in other articles that when I am introduced to new people in church, and they hear that I am a Jewish believer in Christ, there is one of two reactions.

  • The deer in the headlights reaction: Thinking that it’s an oxymoron of sorts. I mean how can a Jewish person be a Christian?
  • The loving and excited reaction: Rejoicing that a Jew has come to know her true Messiah, Yeshua (Jesus)!

Believe me when I say that I do not delude myself.  There are always going to be people, however few or many, in congregations who do not love (let alone like) the Jews.  My husband and I have witnessed this first hand.

But we cannot abide leadership in a church who do not understand how the Jewish people fit into God’s plan.  We have witnessed this as well, and we left. People are not aware of the errant teaching of Replacement Theology and how it has run amok, even in the Southern Baptist churches. Yes, you read that right.

Liberal professors in Christian colleges produce liberal students; and what can they become but liberal pastors in the churches which hire them?

It’s really not rocket science.

Escuse me if you, the reader, consider me harsh in judging Replacement Theology as terribly anti-Semitic. I call a spade a spade, and for the purpose of this article I call Replacement theologians  – Jew haters.

Martin Luther and Other Fathers of the Great Reformation

I am conflicted when I read quotes from Luther, Calvin and others. Why? Because although these men changed the world for God, and opposed Catholic Works-based doctrine, it was also well known that they had disdain for Jews.  Don’t believe me?

I chose this website because they publish the truth, and also offer wise commentary on Luther.
From Chosen People:

“My parents immigrated from The Netherlands to the U.S.A. in 1958; I was born in 1961, making me a first generation American. Growing up, my parents would tell many stories about the old country, about our diverse European ancestry, about life in Holland, about surviving the Nazi occupation, and about the difficult years of rebuilding after the Second World War.

One story about my ancestry involves how my maternal line went from Jewish to Catholic to Protestant in just three generations. My great-grandmother’s Jewish family was converted to Catholicism under persecutions in the eastern part of Poland. When my great-grandmother grew up, she married a Catholic man and moved westward, ending up in The Netherlands and giving birth to a daughter—my grandmother. Because of the early death of my great-grandmother, my grandmother was placed in a convent. My grandmother, therefore, was raised to become a nun. However, a copy of Martin Luther’s Commentary on Paul’s Epistle to the Romans had been smuggled into the convent. As the story goes, my grandmother read Luther’s work in secret and, on the day she finished, walked out of the convent never to return. She later married an Amsterdam banker, a Protestant (my grandfather) and eventually, I became a Lutheran pastor who went on to get a PhD in Church History with a specialty in the Reformation and Martin Luther.

Luther’s original intent with the 95 Theses was to arrange an academic debate regarding the effectiveness of “indulgences.” Luther’s critique of the Church’s practice of selling what amounted to a “fastpass” to heaven struck a chord all over the Holy Roman Empire. Within weeks of their initial appearance, the 95 Theses were printed and reprinted all over Europe. Over the next three years, Luther’s criticisms of the Church’s official teachings expanded to other, more central subjects. Consequently, Luther was called on the carpet. He was given several opportunities to renounce his writings and recant his teachings but he would not. Luther’s teachings, centered on the notion that “a person is justified by faith apart from the works of the law” (Romans 3:28), inspired other reform-oriented teachers and political leaders. The Protestant Reformation was on!

I was 25 years old when I read my first Luther biography: Luther the Reformer: The Story of the Man and His Career, by James M. Kittelson. The book had been recommended to me by a friend. I read it as a recent college graduate who had little to no idea what he wanted to do with his life.

Fast-forward twelve years. I found myself returning to school to begin doctoral studies in Church History under the tutelage of—wait for it—James M. Kittelson, the man who wrote the Luther biography that had so influenced me more than a decade earlier. I co-authored the second edition of the book.

One of the many major amendments of the second edition involves Chapter 16’s subsection titled, “Concerning the Jews.” The second edition devoted twice as many words to the topic as did the first edition. Thirty years ago, there was less awareness of Luther’s anti-Jewish writings and attitudes than there is today. An internet search for “anti-Semitism Luther” turns up hundreds of sites that deal with the issue. Luther’s “dirty little secret” about his regard for “the Jews” is no longer little or a secret. However, it is still quite foul.

Here’s the sordid story:

Early in his public career, Luther had written a treatise that showed great favor toward Medieval Europe’s Jewish population. In That Jesus Christ was Born a Jew (1523), Luther extolled the Jewish people, the Torah, and the patriarchs and prophets, the heroes of Ancient Israel. Luther urged Europe’s princes to treat the Jews within their territories with kindness and forbearance. Luther understood that if he had been a Jew, and treated as badly as Christian Europe had treated the Jews, he would have “become a pig” before he’d convert to Christianity. The irony of using the non-kosher pig demonstrates Luther’s penchant for cutting irony—an irony that often cut both ways. In any case, in this treatise, Luther also wrote, “I hope that if one deals in a kindly way with the Jews and instructs them carefully from Holy Scripture, many of them will become genuine Christians and turn again to the faith of their fathers, the prophets, and patriarchs.” Here Luther demonstrated his belief at the time that (a) Christians had been guilty of mistreatment of the Jews, and (b) that given the return of the true Gospel (as taught by Luther), the Jews would eventually “come around.”

Twenty years later, Luther wrote a lengthy screed titled, Concerning the Jews and Their Lies (1543). Most of Concerning the Jews represents Luther’s attempt to contradict the teachings of the medieval rabbis and to show them from Scripture that Jesus is the Messiah. However, in the last section, he addressed what he thought should be the political response to perceived public blasphemies against Christ emanating from certain synagogues. “Set fire to their synagogues…and bury and cover with dirt whatever will not burn.” In addition, he recommended that Jewish books be confiscated, that Jews be forced from their homes, and that they be made to give up all commercial activities, and instead work the land as day laborers.

Luther’s proposed measures against the Jewish citizenry of German lands well exceeded anything that he had previously proposed in regard to other enemies. Even Luther’s own colleagues and supporters were dismayed by the vehemence of Luther’s writing Concerning the Jews.

There have been several strategies for arriving at an understanding (without sugarcoating) Luther’s awful words about his Jewish neighbors. One strategy is to chalk it up to the fact that Luther was in his last years at this time. He was in bad health, used up, disillusioned, cranky. Another strategy involves pointing out the fact that everyone was anti-Jewish at the time, from Erasmus to Shakespeare. A third strategy is to point out that Luther was not anti-Semitic in the racial sense; instead, Luther counted several baptized Jews as friends and correspondents—his complaint was not against the Jewish bloodline but against medieval Jewish religion. The three strategies help us understand Luther’s context and circumstances. However, I’m with those who believe that Concerning the Jews was the result of two main factors: (1) a simmering disappointment with the rabbis’ failure to recognize Jesus as Messiah, and (2) a desire to avoid divine punishment for failing to speak out against rumored Jewish blasphemies concerning Jesus and Mary.

One more question remains: to what extent were Luther’s writings against the Jews used by Germany’s leaders between 1933 and 1945? The general consensus seems to be that these writings did not come to light until later in the Third Reich’s evil age. And when they did come to light, they were “merely” used to reinforce policies and crimes already in place. Today, of course, from a historical perspective that includes the deaths of six million Jews in concentration camps during the 1940s, Luther’s counsel is reprehensible, indefensible, and tragic.

Christians who identify as “Lutheran”—Christians like me—have struggled deeply with what it means to be associated with a tradition of a man who wrote such horrible, hateful words. Many of us have wondered and discussed Luther’s failure to apply his own well-developed understandings of God’s grace, mercy, and might on behalf of all, including his Jewish neighbors at the time.

Speaking for myself, Luther’s anti-Jewish sentiments represent the deepest flaws of a deeply gifted man. In the end, we Christians can and should regret and condemn the errant words of this long-dead sinner, while at the same time recognize and lift up Luther’s good words when and where they help proclaim Christ crucified and risen.”  source   (emphasis added)

And from John Calvin, these words:

“Their [the Jews] rotten and unbending stiffneckedness deserves that they be oppressed unendingly and without measure or end and that they die in their misery without the pity of anyone.”

It has taken me years of wrestling with the abhorrent words spoken and written down in sermon-form, which spew hatred toward my people from the “Fathers of the Great Reformation.”

As years have gone by, I see these men among others as flawed people (aren’t we all?) who were used mightily by our God to bring truth to the world regarding His Gospel. Because these men were sinners, we see the outright hatred for the Jews – but I must say that is an unexpected flaw in light of their scrutiny of the Word of God to glean Truth from it.

Satan is behind all of it

I call the thoughts which enter our minds, which are blatantly evil and not from God – “whispers of the evil one.”

“Casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ” (2 Corinthians 10:5).

There is but one way to battle these evil thoughts, and that is with the pure Word of God. I can only assume that the devil was working overtime on these Church Fathers, and caused events in their lives which would have them hate the Jews.

Nevertheless, God used these men in tremendous ways for the true body of Christ.

Satan has been behind the virulent hatred of my people by most of the world. His motive is clear, as God’s Messiah came through the Jewish people, Satan has attempted to have Jews completely exterminated throughout history.

But because the Prophetic Word of God will be fulfilled to the letter – Satan’s attempts at completely eradicating my people have failed.

Are you a Christian who holds disdain in your heart for the Jews?  Please remember this:

  • The entire Word of God is written primarily by Jews
  • Christ walked this earth as a Jew
  • The apostles of Christ were Jews
  • The first Christians were Jews
  • The Word of God calls the Jews “The Chosen People”

If you adhere to the teaching of Replacement Theology, and your pastor speaks about the Jews having had their chance, but because of their rebellion, were cast away and replaced by the Church – think about this:

If God would choose to relinquish His Covenant with His own people, what would keep Him from doing the same to the Gentiles?   Ponder that for a while……..

Catholicism And the Word Of God

After I was born-again from above, I was approached by a Catholic woman who had heard about my conversion. Actually, I don’t call it a conversion. I am Jewish, and when the Lord saved me, I became a completed Jew. Anyway, to this Catholic woman–I was a convert.

The mission of the woman was to help me see the light–in other words; she wanted me to become a Catholic. We went round and round, mostly about “Mary.” It became so obvious that this woman was worshiping Mary!

She called Mary Queen of Heaven, Mother of God, Blessed Mother, Immaculate Mary and Virgin Mary. Everything the woman was saying to me came straight from the Roman Catholic Church. Everything that I said to her came from the Bible. She did not feel that the Bible was a good source of information about Mary or Jesus. I was STUNNED!

I used Scripture whenever the woman made false statements. When I would say the name of Jesus, she would go right back to talking about Mary. She told me that this is what Jesus wanted; for people to go through His mother to get to Him. I told her that Mary had other children. I could hear her breathe in, as if she had been slapped.

“Then Joseph, being aroused from sleep, did as the angel of the Lord commanded him and took to him his wife, and did not know her till she had brought forth her firstborn Son. And he called His name Jesus” (Matthew 1:24-25).  (emphasis mine)

Before I became a Christian, I had always thought that the holiest people in the world were Catholics. God opened my eyes to see that this was a facade in the Roman Catholic Church, which Satan used to his advantage. Everything was so beautiful with stained glass windows, statues of their saints, purple velvet, golden chalices; I could go on and on.

How could this NOT be the true church of the Lord?

“For My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways,’ says the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts” (Isaiah 55:8-9).

As I thought about the birth of our Lord Jesus in a lowly stable, something about all of the obvious riches in the Roman Catholic Church did not seem genuine to me. Would Jesus want millions of dollars spent on huge, ornate buildings? It became apparent to me that this church had little to do with Jesus Christ, and everything to do with Mary and worshiping her. The more I learned about the Roman Catholic Church, the more it reminded me of the synagogue; traditions of men being taught as the truth–replacing the Word of God.

“Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the basic principles of the world, and not according to Christ” (Colossians 2:8).

The devil takes a little bit of truth (Word of God) and twists it to deceive us. He did this to Eve in the Garden of Eden. He even tried doing it to our Lord Jesus in the wilderness. Jesus simply corrected and rebuked the evil one, using the written Word of God.

After the death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus, Satan did not waste any time building his own institution (the Roman Catholic Church), to make sure that people would remain lost in their sins. Before Lucifer was cast out of heaven by God, he was exalting himself to be like the Lord Most High. He wants worship!

He demands worship.

Graven Images

“You shall not make for yourself a carved image–any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth” (Exodus 20:4).

The Roman Catholic Church is filled with statues of people who they claim did at least two or more miracles. These canonized people are called saints.

From gotquestions.org

“How does the Roman Catholic understanding of “saints” compare with the biblical teaching? Not very well. In Roman Catholic theology, the saints are in heaven. In the Bible, the saints are on earth. In Roman Catholic teaching, a person does not become a saint unless he/she is “beatified” or “canonized” by the Pope or prominent bishop. In the Bible, everyone who has received Jesus Christ by faith is a saint. In Roman Catholic practice, the saints are revered, prayed to, and in some instances, worshipped. In the Bible, saints are called to revere, worship, and pray to God alone: source

Salvation

In Catholicism, Mary is the co-redeemer along with Jesus. The people are taught that Mary participated with Jesus in His painful act of redemption. We know Who redeemed us–Jesus the Christ and no one else:

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved” (John 3:16-17).

No mention of Mary in that passage of Scripture. Not once.

In Catholicism, Mary is the co-mediator, whom we can trust with all of our cares. The Bible says this about our mediator:

“For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus” (1 Timothy 2:5).

Extremely clear, wouldn’t you say?

In Catholicism, salvation is sought after by good works and participation in the sacraments. I’ve never met a Catholic who has said that they are sure they going to heaven.

The Bible says this:

“For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast” (Ephesians 2:8-9).

We are saved by grace through faith in the finished work of Christ on the Cross. It is a gift of God. It has nothing to do with our works. Good works should come naturally to a redeemed soul, but being redeemed is the work of God. We must believe Him.

The Bible

The priests in the Roman Catholic Church do not encourage the reading of the Word of God to its members. Well, I can see why! If the people begin to read God’s Word, they will see that the Roman Catholic Church is teaching doctrines contrary to the Bible. Then a Catholic person would need to make a choice: To adhere to Catholic doctrine and tradition or believe what they read in the Holy Word of God.

After my last article, I received an email from a woman who seemed frantic. She told me that she was a Catholic Christian. She said that her priest told the congregation that Allah is the same as the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. I assured her that is NOT the truth. I sent her two articles addressing this lie that is being perpetuated by false teachers.

In the 2nd Council of the Vatican in 1962-1965, this was added to the Book of Catechism:

Second Vatican Council, Nostra Aetate 3, October 28, 1965

“The Catholic Church rejects nothing of what is true and holy in these religions. She has a high regard for the manner of life and conduct, the precepts and doctrines which, although differing in many ways from her own teaching, nevertheless often reflect a ray of that truth which enlightens all men. Yet she proclaims and is in duty bound to proclaim without fail, Christ who is ‘the way, the truth and the life’ (Jn 1:6). In him, in whom God reconciled all things to himself (cf. 2Co 5:18-19), men find the fullness of their religious life. (emphasis mine).

“The Church, therefore, urges her sons to enter with prudence and charity into discussion and collaboration with members of other religions. Let Christians, while witnessing to their own faith and way of life, acknowledge, preserve and encourage the spiritual and moral truths found among non-Christians, also their social life and culture. (Emphasis mine).

“The Church has also a high regard for the Muslims. They worship God, who is one, living and subsistent, merciful and almighty, the Creator of heaven and earth (Cf. St. Gregory VII, Letter III, 21 to Anazir [Al-Nasir], King of Mauretania PL, 148.451A.), who has spoken to men. They strive to submit themselves without reserve to the hidden decrees of God, just as Abraham submitted himself to God’s plan, to whose faith Muslims eagerly link their own. Although not acknowledging him as God, they venerate Jesus as a prophet, his Virgin Mother they also honor, and even at times devoutly invoke. Further, they await the day of judgment and the reward of God following the resurrection of the dead. For this reason they highly esteem an upright life and worship God, especially by way of prayer, alms-deeds and fasting. (emphasis mine)

“Over the centuries many quarrels and dissensions have arisen between Christians and Muslims. The sacred Council now pleads with all to forget the past, and urges that a sincere effort be made to achieve mutual understanding; for the benefit of all men, let them together preserve and promote peace, liberty, social justice and moral values.”

“Therefore, the Church reproves, as foreign to the mind of Christ, any discrimination against people or any harassment of them on the basis of their race, color, condition in life or religion. Accordingly, following the footsteps of the holy Apostles Peter and Paul, the sacred Council earnestly begs the Christian faithful to ‘conduct themselves well among the Gentiles’ (1P 2:12) and if possible, as far as depends on them, to be at peace with all men (cf. Rm 12:18), and in that way to be true sons of the Father who is in heaven (cf. Mt 5:45).”

Bringing Muslim Cleric to Pray in Vatican

In June of this year, the Vatican invited a Muslim cleric and a rabbi to pray together with the Pope. This smacks prophetically of a one world religion, and should alarm Christians everywhere.  But God is in control, and all that happens is because He allows the events to fulfill His Prophetic Word.

I have to think that the priest telling his congregation the lie about Allah, is not a fluke. Perhaps the Vatican is telling Catholic priests to preach that Allah and the Lord God Almighty are one and the same.

Satan knows that the end is near.

Corruption in the Vatican

Anyone can search the history of the Vatican and find appalling corruption with each new pope. But nothing can compare with the Vatican during the reign of Hitler in Nazi Germany:

Why, it has been asked repeatedly, did the Pope not utter a solemn denunciation of this crime against the Jews and against humanity? . . . Why, it has been demanded, did he not give a clear moral and spiritual lead to Catholic priests throughout Europe? In June 1941, when the Vichy French government introduced “Jewish laws” closely modeled upon the Nuremberg Laws, the Pope responded to appeals from French bishops by stating that such laws were not in conflict with Catholic teaching. Later efforts by the British, Americans and Poles to persuade the Vatican to publish a specific condemnation of Nazi extermination of the Jews fell on deaf ears. The Pope, came the reply, could only issue a general condemnation of wartime atrocities. “A strong and openly voiced papal line might have silenced those Catholic bishops throughout Europe who actively and fervently collaborated with their Nazi masters.” –Ronnie S. Landou, The Nazi Holocaust, pp. 216-217

I cannot understand how a person who has been saved by our Lord Jesus, and begins to read the Holy Word of God, could remain in the Roman Catholic Church. The only reason I could see a person remaining there, would be if they felt the leading from God that they were to share the message of salvation with other Catholics. I still think that a person such as this should seek out a place of worship where God’s Word is preached boldly.

Brethren, we are to obey God. He has given us all that we need in His Word. We are to be as the Bereans were–searching the Scriptures to see if what we were told is so.

Dave Hunt speaks on “A Woman Rides the Beast.”

The evil one is always standing by to confuse and lie to us!

“But Peter and the other apostles answered and said: “We ought to obey God rather than men” (Acts 5:29).

Blessings in Yeshua.

Facebook Thinks That We Conservatives Are Total Idiots

I was casually perusing the stories on Olivetreeviews.org, when I came across one about an arrest made of an arsonist in the Sonoma County Wine Country fires. The suspect is a Mexican National who had been returned to his country of origin twice before. The story was from Breitbart.

I copied the link and was about to post this story on my FB page – But Wait! I was offered HELP from Facebook!

They told me that there was additional reporting about this story on FactCheck.org!

Additional Reporting?  WOW – we always want Additional Reporting, right? I could not help myself, so I clicked on the FackCheck link. I took screen shots of this wild experience for the reader to see:

Here is where I was about to post the piece from Breitbart about the Mexican National who was arrested as a suspect for arson:

Here is where Facebook so graciously offered me “Additional reporting” on this story from FactCheck.org:

And here is FactCheck.org telling me that there have been NO arrests for the California Wildfires.

Well, isn’t this just special? We now have an online Nanny, who will hold our hand and lead us away from Accurate News from Conservative websites, into their Leftist Fact Checking Webs of deception!

Now I ask you – do you think Facebook will offer “Additional reporting” on any NYTimes pieces?  That was a rhetorical question.

Here is the REAL story:

From Breitbart.com

ICE Director: Suspected Wine Country Arsonist Is Illegal Alien Mexican National

WASHINGTON, DC — U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Acting Director Tom Homan confirmed on Thursday that a man arrested in connection with setting a fire in Sonoma County Wine Country is an illegal alien from Mexico who has been twice returned to his “home country.”

Homan also confirmed that ICE has issued detainer requests for Jesus Fabian Gonzalez five times now in the past year alone, including the one issued on October 16 in relation to his most recent arrest on suspicion of arson. All of the arrests were made “by Sonoma County on various felony and misdemeanor charges,” according to Homan.

Sonoma County is considered a sanctuary jurisdiction and does not fully cooperate with federal immigration officials. That includes not honoring ICE detainer requests. “ICE was never notified of Mr. Gonzalez’ various releases,” Homan wrote in the statement regarding Gonzalez.

There were several fires in the region, and it is not clear what role the fires Gonzales allegedly set played in the overall disaster.

Homan’s public statement highlights the lack of cooperation from Sonoma County officials and the devastating wildfires that have ravaged the region:

Once again, a non-cooperative jurisdiction has left their community vulnerable to dangerous individuals and preventable crimes. ICE lodged a detainer against Jesus Gonzalez with Sonoma County jail officials on October 16, following his arrest on felony charges for maliciously setting fire to a property. This is especially troubling in light of the massive wildfires already devastating the region. Over the past year, ICE has lodged detainers against Mr. Gonzalez after four separate arrests by Sonoma County on various felony and misdemeanor charges. ICE was never notified of Mr. Gonzalez’ various releases. Additionally, Mr. Gonzales has been returned to his home country of Mexico on two separate occasions. The residents of Sonoma County, and the state of California, deserve better than policies that expose them to avoidable dangers. Non-cooperation policies – now enshrined in California state law – ensure only one thing: criminals who would otherwise be deported will be released and left free to reoffend as they please.

California Gov. Jerry Brown recently signed into law a bill that makes California a sanctuary state. – source

So there you have it.

That’s Breitbart’s story and I’m sticking to it!

Voting For President Trump Was Not A Spiritual Act: Wake Up Church!

I voted. I always vote.
 And I voted for Trump.

My father taught us that voting was not just a right, it was a responsibility for every citizen. My grandparents from both sides emigrated to America from Ukraine in the early 20th Century. I think my father viewed America as a huge blessing, in light of the never-ending persecution and slaughter of the Jewish people.

My father would say to us  “America may not be perfect but there is no better country.”  After WWII my dad realized that this country was truly the only one which supported the State of Israel. He also knew that the chances of a mass slaughter of Jews would likely never happen in the U.S.

In these last days, I’m not so sure of that.

From history.com

On August 28, 1941, more than 23,000 Hungarian Jews are murdered by the Gestapo in occupied Ukraine.

The German invasion of the Soviet Union had advanced to the point of mass air raids on Moscow and the occupation of parts of Ukraine. On August 26, Hitler displayed the joys of conquest by inviting Benito Mussolini to Brest-Litovsk, where the Germans had destroyed the city’s citadel. The grand irony is that Ukrainians had originally viewed the Germans as liberators from their Soviet oppressors and an ally in the struggle for independence. But as early as July, the Germans were arresting Ukrainians agitating and organizing for a provisional state government with an eye toward autonomy and throwing them into concentration camps. The Germans also began carving the nation up, dispensing parts to Poland (already occupied by Germany) and Romania.

But true horrors were reserved for Jews in the territory. Tens of thousands of Hungarian Jews had been expelled from that country and migrated to Ukraine. The German authorities tried sending them back, but Hungary would not take them. SS General Franz Jaeckeln vowed to deal with the influx of refugees by the “complete liquidation of those Jews by September 1.” He worked even faster than promised. On August 28, he marched more than 23,000 Hungarian Jews to bomb craters at Kamenets Podolsk, ordered them to undress, and riddled them with machine-gun fire. Those who didn’t die from the spray of bullets were buried alive under the weight of corpses that piled atop them.

All told, more than 600,000 Jews had been murdered in Ukraine by war’s end. – source   (Emphasis mine)

I fully understand why my father loved and cherished America. My father was saved before he died in 1997.  I am glad that he did not have to experience the 8 dark and demonic years of Israel-hating Obama.

This Last Election

Voting is certainly not a spiritual act.  I remember the words of Jesus when the Pharisees attempted to trick him by asking if it was lawful to pay taxes to Caesar:

“But Jesus perceived their wickedness, and said, “Why do you test Me, you hypocrites?  Show Me the tax money.” So they brought Him a denarius. And He said to them, “Whose image and inscription is this?” They said to Him, “Caesar’s.” And He said to them, “Render therefore to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s”  (Matthew 22: 18-21).

Jesus clearly showed the people that an earthly government had nothing to do with the Kingdom of heaven. To those of us who belong to the Lord, the election may have been about moral issues, but it was not a spiritual act.

It seems that many Christians believe that voting for a Conservative was indeed an act for which they might receive a crown in heaven. This is ludicrous and is harming the body of Christ.

Many in the Church have gone back to sleep

WAKE UP CHURCH!  We have much work to do for our Father!  Are we not to share His Glorious Gospel to add souls to His Kingdom?  This is not our home; we are merely passing through.

We ARE to speak out against abortion.  We ARE to defend the sanctity of marriage, regardless of the heinous decision of the SCOTUS which changed the Biblical definition of marriage.

Yes – we ARE to do what we know is right.  But the reason that our Father has allowed us to be here on this very day, is to be salt and light in this increasingly dark world!  Millions are dying in their sins and will spend eternity in hell!

The Changing Church of the Great Falling Away

Are you attending an apostate church?  How would you know?

  • The pastor does not preach on Bible prophecy
  • Hatred for Israel is spewed from the pulpit
  • The Church replaced Israel in the eyes of God
  • Gays are ordained as pastors
  • Pastor does not preach on Salvation
  • Emphasis is on financial prosperity
  • The Word of God is not held as inerrant and infallible
  • Mysticism and New Age practices are embraced
  • A push for returning to Rome (Catholicism)
  • Teaching that Jesus is not God
  • Teaching that there are many ways to God

Jesus said:

“I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me” (John 14:6).

This statement from our Lord Jesus does not leave any room for debate.  And because He is the only way to the Father, we MUST be about our Father’s business while we are still here.  How will people know what Jesus meant by this passage of Scripture if we do not tell them?

How Can I Be Saved?

So we must wake up, brethren.  You did well when you voted in the last election. Many of us voted the Bible; and what that means is that we voted for the person whose views on moral issues were closer to the Word of God.

But that was not an act of Spiritual service to God.  He wants His people to repent and turn from their wicked ways. He wants His people to tell others how to be right with Him.  He wants His people to put Him first in their lives.

MARANATHA!
