Today I’ve found myself tearing up for our once great country. I thought about the soldiers who fought for our freedom, forgetting their own safety. Valiant men and women, defending America against our foes — those who would take our freedom away.

My dad loved this nation. He would say to us kids “America is not perfect, but there is no better place to live in the world.” He was a patriot. He served as a medic in England in WWII. I don’t know how much he knew about Hitler, and the slaughter of our people in the beginning of his service. But when he spoke of the camps and what had been done to the Jewish people, he could hardly speak, trying to choke back the tears.

My dad told us that we Jews were hated by most of the world. He said that we were used as scapegoats; blamed for most anything that happened. He wasn’t angry when he talked of this. I believe that he was trying to warn us that we should expect to be hated. Back then, I could not understand the hatred of my people. Now, as a Christian, I see that Satan is the cause — placing that hatred in the hearts of men and women all over the world.

The Lord allowed me the joy of leading my dad to the Throne of God, and believing in Yeshua for the forgiveness of his sins before he died. This was in 1997. If my dad was alive today, I truly believe that he would be so saddened to see America like this. It would break his heart.

Aside from the moral decay; babies being slaughtered and sold as if in a butcher shop, and marriage being made a mockery by those who practice sin and want to use it to hurt those who love God and His Word. But I think that the thing that would have torn my dad’s heart apart, is the way America had turned on Israel.

Dad always gave to Israel every month. He did it quietly. I’m not even sure that my sisters and brother knew. But I knew, and I loved him for it. I loved Israel back then, even though I didn’t understand the Biblical implications of my people coming back to their land in 1948, but I was still so excited about it. I remember the miraculous 6 day war. My heart rejoiced within me. I didn’t understand that God had protected my people; not back then. But there was so much excitement in my heart.

After being born-again in 1983, I began connecting the dots concerning the intense hatred of my people. As I read the Word of God, He showed me clearly that the Jews have been hated and slaughtered because of Satan.

The Bible is penned by Jewish men, under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. Well, perhaps Luke was not a Jew, but that is still debated. God’s law was given to the world through the Jewish people. And most importantly, the Messiah of the World, Jesus Christ, came through the Jewish people through the lineage of David.

“And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed” (Genesis 12:3).

“God made a twofold promise to Abraham. The first was a material promise that he would be the father of many nations and that kings would descend from him. God promised him that his progeny would inherit the land of Canaan, an expanse that He defined as stretching from the Nile to the Euphrates rivers. The second, but more important, promise was spiritual. God promised Abraham that in his Seed all the nations of the earth would be blessed. This promise encompasses the life and work of Abraham’s best known and most revered descendant, Jesus Christ.” [1]

Since 1948, America’s presidents have supported and blessed Israel. Some blessed her more than others, but we were never considered an enemy of Israel; until now. Barack Obama reminds me of Haman in the story of Queen Esther. Haman was determined to slaughter every Jew in the world. And so it seems that BHO wants the same fate for my people.

I never thought that I would see America turn her back on Israel — not just turn her back, but intentionally put Israel in harm’s way by the signing of the deal with Iran. This act by our president is so egregious, that the Sanhedrin of Israel are bringing charges against him for what he has done to jeopardize the safety of the Israeli people. Hitler would be proud.

So, it should be completely evident to all Americans that Obama is not a Christian. If he was, he would know the gravity of what he has done, and he would fear God’s cursing. He fears nothing. He is arrogant and a rapid Jew hater. He may not be the Antichrist, but he is an antichrist.

I know that many Christians believe a revival is coming. They think that America will turn around and be like the America of the past. I know that God can do this. Nothing is too difficult for Him. But when I look at the big picture; the world events and natural disasters, babies being slaughtered, sin being celebrated, Israel standing by herself against the world, I am persuaded that the ‘City on a Hill’ time of our nation is now gone. I pray that I am wrong.

The Lord allowed many of us to have the discernment to know that Obama was evil back in 2008. We sounded the alarm. People mocked us and called us crazy. Have you ever really looked at Obama’s eyes? They are terrifying. I believe that the man has a demon.

As sad as the imminent demise of America seems, I am still rejoicing and trusting God. All of His prophetic Word will be fulfilled — nothing can stop it. So, Obama was part of God’s plan for America. Brethren, we are in the last of the last days. Things are happening so quickly, it’s astonishing at times. But that is even more evidence that we are close to the end.

“One thing have I desired of the Lord, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to enquire in his temple. For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock. And now shall mine head be lifted up above mine enemies round about me: therefore will I offer in his tabernacle sacrifices of joy; I will sing, yea, I will sing praises unto the Lord” (Psalm 27:4-6).

  1. I am once again going through a Bible study “A Wardrobe From the King” written by Berit Kjos. It is a study on putting on the Armor of God. I for one need this desperately. Jesus Christ and the Armor of God is all there really is. I spent 21 years in our military, retiring from that in 1985. Now our military has been trashed. Recently I have experienced being physically ill and sick to my stomach, literally, from the intensity of the evil that is now upon us. Putting on the Armor of God is now paramount.

  2. Thank you Geri for this article and also the one you wrote about depression. Just 3 days ago I was thinking about what all born again believers must be feeling right now. I really haven’t seen any articles pertaining to this subject until I just found yours.
As we are watching the prophecies unfold before our very eyes, I think we go through multiple emotions all at once. We experience excitement seeing the word of God come to life, and knowing Jesus is that much closer to coming for His Bride. We experience sadness from seeing these evil things unfolding. Sadness for the people who are blinded from the truth. Sadness seeing the falling away happening before our very eyes. Sadness from seeing people call evil good and good evil. We experience fear from the unknown, this current POTUS is the face of evil itself.
One huge thing that really hurts my heart, is seeing all the nations turn against Israel, and esspecially the Apostate so called Churches. Thus another example of Bible prophecy unfolding.
These things build up everyday, and everyday in my prayers before I leave my home I ask the Lord to strengthen me and to help me face another day.

Thank you Dennis too, for the information on the Bible study, ” A Wardrobe From The King”.
I will go through the study!
    God Bless you all!

  3. I love Israel and the Jewish people.. it angers me when they call Israel, Palestine.. God named His land.. the Romans changed it and now the blind follow.. thinking they can curse what God has blessed.. Thank you for sharing this great post 🙂
