*******Our first red flag that this is a cult – the so-called Reverend is a WOMAN! The Word of God clearly teaches why a woman should not be a pastor or have authority over a man in church:
“But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence. For Adam was first formed, then Eve. And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression” (1 Timothy 2:12-14).
Reverend Lanie Quinlan is a preacher reshaping the way people interact with the spirit of Christ. Her podcasts and sermons from ‘The Porch’, a non-brick and mortar church, are revolutionizing the way we view, attend, and think of traditional church.
*******We do not need a “revolution” to change the way we view ‘church.’ Everything we need to know is in God’s Word.
Reverend Lanie Quinlan, aka “Red Dirt Preacher” has built a ministry outside of organized churches with the spirit of Jesus constantly by her side. Jesus is not her religion; He is her savior and through that process, she shows others what it means to live in the spirit. Without walls, ceilings, labels, guilt, or judgment, she encourages her congregation to be that welcoming shining light on the porch that invites all to enter. As Jesus condemned the Pharisees for how they stood above the people, so does Lanie, who takes her spiritual teachings back to the grassroots.There is no pedestal from which she preaches. She is with you every step of the way, accepting your sins as she herself sins and accepting anyone in her ministry who wants to be a part of her spiritual journey.
******** That whole paragraph smacks of false teaching! Oh, it sounds great when she says that Jesus is not her religion but her Savior. But keep everything in context. Look at the way she speaks of sin; as if it is somehow a good thing. “Accepting your sins?” REALLY? Here is what the Word says about sins:”
“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness” (1 John 1:9). Where is repentance spoken of by this false teacher? It’s not there.
She is not the fire and brimstone from the dog days of damnation. She is the passion and energy that is a beacon for the people she understands so well. Also, a talented songwriter that uses her music as medicine, and a broadcaster that shares whatever moves her creatively, she understands the traditions of country music as it touches every single moment of her life. Like one of her heroes Johnny Cash, her ministry ‘walks the line’. She speaks her own truths and the raw emotion of her awakening to let people know that God is within everyone. Her sermons are also full of fun and humility as she never takes herself too seriously and brings an overwhelming sense of joy, delight, and humor to her preaching.
********* She certainly is NOT preaching Fire and Brimstone! Many times it is the fear of a Holy God which draws a person to seek Truth!
Church is not a place. It is a feeling, and Lanie liberates her congregation through spiritual freedom. Sincere, honest, and tenacious, she leads a revolution of love for all people to enjoy. He certainly is Love, but He is also HOLY, RIGHTEOUS and JUST. He cannot abide SIN and is the reason that He gave Jesus as the ultimate Sacrifice for Sin! He wishes us to be reconciled to HIM. That could only happen through the shed Blood of His Son Jesus Christ!
