I believe that there is a hunger in the land of Israel to understand about their Messiah. I have been reading that many in Israel are searching the Scriptures ( the Old Testament or Torah) for the truth about Messiah. I read today that this passage of Scripture has peaked their curiosity about Him:
“Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy. Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times.
And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.
And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.”
Certainly, this portion of the passage must have Hebrew Bible scholars perplexed:
“And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.” They see before their eyes that Messiah came, but that after 30 years plus a few more, He was cut off — but not for Himself. As a believer in Yeshua, I would say that “but not for Himself” meant that He died for others.
It is because of this stirring within Israel, that I feel compelled to offer The Jesus Film – all in Hebrew. I know an Israeli man who now believes in Yeshua and travels the world to tell the people that Yeshua is the Messiah of the Jewish people. How did he come to this conclusion? It was after he watched this film in Hebrew that G-d showed him this truth. G-d is using him in a very mighty way since that day. His name is Amir Tsarfati .
So, I am placing The Jesus Film in this article in hopes that many Israelis will watch and their eyes will be opened to the truth of the Gospel. Yeshua came for His people first, but they knew Him not. This is all part of G-d’s plan. Because the Jewish people for the most part rejected Yeshua, the Gentiles were given a chance to come into G-d’s Kingdom.
“And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice” (Genesis 22:18).
THE JESUS FILM
I pray that many Jewish people in Israel and all over the world will be touched and their eyes opened to the truth. Your Messiah came for you and His name is Yeshua (Jesus).
You will find Shalom for your souls – at last. Time is short. There is so much I want to tell you. But the most important thing right now is that you believe in Yeshua for the forgiveness of your sins! You will be forgiven and reconciled to G-d through Yeshua.
The end of the world as we know it is coming fast. The nations of the world are all lined up against tiny Israel. G-d is your protector! Watch what He will do when these nations come against you. The whole world will know that He is G-d and that His love for Israel is never ending!
Shalom b’ Yeshua!!!
