A junior soldier in the Oklahoma National Guard died earlier this month after a physical fitness test at the McAlester Army Ammunition Plant in McAlester, Oklahoma.

On March 4, Spc. Jaykob R. Pruitt, 19, from Bennington, Oklahoma, collapsed and died after completing the two-mile run portion of the Army Combat Fitness Test (ACFT).

“A 19-year-old Specialist assigned to the Army National Guard, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, on Title 32 drill status died in an on-duty sports, recreation and physical training mishap 4 March 2023 in McAlester, Oklahoma, at 1045 local. After completing the 2-mile run portion of the Army Combat Fitness Test, the Soldier walked away from the track, fell to the ground and was found unresponsive,” according to a preliminary loss report published by the service.

CPR was performed, and the emergency medical services (EMS) were called. Pruitt was taken by ambulance to the hospital, where he was declared dead.

“Since 2018, the Army has lost an average of one Soldier a year to on-duty sports, recreation and physical training mishaps. This was the third on-duty sports, recreation and physical training mishap of FY23 and above the number of on-duty sports, recreation and physical training fatalities from this time last year,” the report added.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with Jaykob’s family, friends and our fellow Soldiers,” said Maj. Gen. Thomas H. Mancino, adjutant general for Oklahoma. “Together, we are mourning the devastating loss of a promising young man and Soldier.”

The “medical experts” would have us believe that ‘young and healthy’ sudden death is quite common, but has not been reported frequently.

I find that very hard to believe.

DIED SUDDENLY: 12-year-old New Jersey boy dies during no-contact football practice

From nypost.com

A 12-year-old New Jersey boy collapsed and died during a no-contact football practice — and his family has blasted the league as “neglectful” because none of the coaches knew CPR.

Elijah Jordan Brown-Garcia, a sixth-grade student at KIPP Rise Academy, was practicing with the Essex County Predators last Friday when he dropped to the ground and became unresponsive, his family told News 12.

“No contact. It was just drills running back and forth. He didn’t get hit,” his mother, Raven Brown, told the outlet.

“He was a healthy kid…I don’t know why Friday night was his day.”

Elijah’s 10-year-old brother, who was also at the practice, called their mother to tell her that the coaches — none of whom were CPR-certified — were trying to revive the young player.

“He said, ‘They are pouring water on him, and they are fanning him.’ And that’s when I got my kids together and I said, ‘I’m on my way,’” says Brown.

Brown called an ambulance as she rushed to the field, and coaches also called twice, but Brown made it to her son before emergency personnel.

She said it took 30-40 minutes for the ambulance to arrive. Elijah was rushed to the hospital, where he died.

The next day, Elijah’s coach called Brow to apologize.

“‘Sorry, none of us are CPR-certified,’” the coach allegedly told the grieving mother.

New Jersey state law requires at least one person to be CPR-certified at state school events and to have a defibrillator on standby.

“They are neglectful. You can’t run a team like that,” Brown says.

Brown and her family are considering taking legal action against the group that runs the football league, she said. The team acknowledged Elijah’s passing, but didn’t provide a comment to News 12 because of an ongoing investigation.

Officials are still looking into Elijah’s cause of death.

His mother said Elijah had never had any prior health issues and had gone to school earlier in the day without problems.

Playing on the football team was his favorite thing to do, his mother said. Source

It was wrong for at least one of the coaches to not know CPR! That is shocking.

Please pray for Elijah’s friends and family. Pray that many who are lost will be drawn to Jesus and will be saved.

DIED SUDDENLY: TRAGIC – 17-Year-Old Football Player Dies Suddenly In His Sleep Following A “Cardiac Arrest”

From thegatewaypundit.com

The disturbing global trend involving young individuals passing away without warning continues.

Last week in Laval, Quebec, Canada, a 17-year-old football player named William Caron-Cabrera died reportedly following a “cardiac arrest.” He was a student at Curé-Antoine-Labelle High School.

The official cause of Caron-Cabrera’s “cardiac arrest” activity and subsequent death is unknown at this time. A full autopsy has yet to be performed.

Here is the story from the Courrier Laval (story translated by Dr. William Makis, MD):

The Wolves of Curé-Antoine-Labelle high school are in mourning. They announced the death of their player William Caron-Cabrera earlier in the week of February 6.

He was in secondary five and was to continue his sporting career with the Campus Notre-Dame-de-Foy (CNDF) at the college level. The defensive back also worked for the Quebec teams and the Laval-Nord Vikings.

“It is with sadness that we learned of the death of one of our own, can we read on the Facebook page of the Laval team. William […] had just completed his fifth season with the Wolves. Our deepest thoughts go out to his family and loved ones.”

According to information issued by the Laval Police Department, he died in his sleep following a cardiac arrest. The cause would be neither suspicious, in any way criminal, nor due to a suicide.

Appreciated person

Several organizations and relatives of the 17-year-old athlete reacted to the death.

“William was a quality athlete, everyone’s friend, always there to make us laugh and his departure will leave a great void in our big family of Handball Laval, can we read on the Facebook page of this same organization of the Jesus Island. Will, take care of your gang of buddies and rest in peace.”

“William Caron-Cabrera was a talented, passionate, playful and smiling player who we were blessed to count among [our] big family”, adds the Flag-Football Terrebonne club. It is with heavy hearts that we learn of his passing today. He was able to make a positive impression on people throughout his too short life.

Hopefully Caron-Cabrera’s family will receive the full reason for his sudden passing. Too many families of these young people has never received closure. Source
