MADISON, Wis.—A Wisconsin woman accused of repeatedly poisoning her veterinarian husband with animal euthanasia drugs has been charged with attempted first-degree intentional homicide.

Amanda Chapin, 50, of Monroe, was charged Dec. 28 in Lafayette County. Authorities say she poisoned her 70-year-old husband, Gary Chapin, three times during July and August, by putting barbiturates in his coffee, the Wisconsin State Journal reported.

According to a criminal complaint, the couple got married in March. Following the wedding, Amanda Chapin forged the signature of one of her husband’s children on a power-of-attorney document, then demanded her husband amend his house deed so she would get the home if he died. The complaint says she poisoned her husband for the first time less than three weeks after the quit claim deed on the house was authorized.

The third time he drank the allegedly poisoned coffee, in early August, he fell into a coma that lasted for four days, the complaint said. Bloodwork showed barbiturates in his system came from drugs he used to euthanize animals.

Gary Chapin’s son subsequently filed a restraining order against Amanda Chapin on his father’s behalf and Gary Chapin has filed for divorce, according to online court records.

According to the criminal complaint, Amanda Chapin violated the restraining order in September when she sent her husband a suicide note via email, writing that she had decided to kill herself because his children would “destroy” her. She repeatedly denied poisoning him.

“The only thing I am guilty of is loving you SOOOOOOOOOO MUCH,” the note, which was included in the complaint, said.

She survived the suicide attempt after paramedics took her to a local hospital. Gary Chapin filed for divorce the next day.

Online court records indicate attorney Adam Witt is representing Amanda Chapin in the homicide case. The Wisconsin Bar Association’s website indicates Witt serves as a public defender in Green County. He didn’t immediately respond to an email seeking comment. Source

Police arrested a man Sunday in Texas after he allegedly stabbed his 8-year-old grandson to death.

Police and fire departments responded to a stabbing at around 7:50 a.m. local time at a residence in Richland Hills, Texas, according to an official release from the Richland Hills Police Department. Emergency services arrived on the scene and pronounced that the juvenile victim was dead from his injuries.

Police named 62-year-old Philip Hughes, the victim’s grandfather, as the suspect in the stabbing. Hughes was found near the scene, the release noted. Officers took Hughes into custody on charges of capital murder and transported him to the Joint Detention Center where he’s waiting for arraignment. His mugshot was shared on social media by an NBC5 reporter.

A grandmother has been charged with the the murder of her five-year-old grandson after he was stabbed to death while in her care.

Dario-Mario Lazar, known to his family and friends as Mario, was found with severe injuries at a property in Earlsdon, Coventry last January.

Despite the efforts of emergency services he was confirmed dead at the scene and a post mortem has revealed he died as a result of a stab wound. 

Mario’s grandmother, Elena Anghel, 50, was caring for him at the time and was initially arrested on suspicion of murder and later sectioned under the Mental Health Act.

It was confirmed she appeared at Leamington Justice Centre today ahead of a planned trial in June. 

Anghel remains in a secure mental health facility and is next due in court on March 6.

Friends explained that she regularly looked after the youngster after school while his parents worked.

A West Midlands Police spokesperson said: ‘A woman has been charged with murder after a five-year-old boy in her care died in Coventry last January.

‘Elena Anghel, 50, from Coventry, appeared at Leamington Justice Centre today and remains in a secure mental health facility pending her trial in June.

‘David-Mario Lazar died from a stab wound at his home in Poplar Road, Earlsdon on 25 January 2022.

‘His family have been informed of this latest development and our thoughts remain with them.’

Last year, his devastated parents Cristina and Dorinel paid tribute to their son in a statement issued by West Midlands Police.

They said: ‘Our son, he was the most beautiful child in the world.

‘He had so much energy. He loved to dance and sing. He is all of our hearts, all our love and is everything to both of us.’  Source

Detectives in Gresham, Oregon, say 25-year-old suspect Koryn Kraemer recently moved to Portland

A 25-year-old man has been arrested in Oregon after he allegedly chewed off an elderly man’s ear and part of his face in a bloody attack on a train platform, authorities said Tuesday.

Officers and a Multnomah County deputy responded around 2:15 a.m. to reports of a possible stabbing on the Cleveland Avenue MAX platform in Gresham, the Gresham Police Department said.

When officers arrived, authorities said they found the suspect continuing his attack on top of the victim and a large amount of blood.

Officers quickly took the suspect into custody and called paramedics to aid the victim, a 78-year-old man from Hillsboro.

Detectives said the victim was not stabbed, and that the suspect had actually chewed off the victim’s ear and part of his face. First responders reported that the victim’s injuries were so severe they were able to see his skull.

Authorities identified the suspect as 25-year-old Koryn Kraemer, who they said had recently moved to Portland from Georgia.

Frequent riders of the train told FOX12 Oregon that they often see people who appear to be on drugs on the Cleveland Avenue station.

While detectives said they are investigating whether illicit drugs played a part in the suspect’s actions, Kraemer was being held on accusations of second-degree assault.

The bloody attack comes less than a week after a woman allegedly pushed a 3-year-old girl onto train tracks at the Gateway Transit Center MAX platform in Northeast Portland without provocation, while the child and her mother were waiting at the station. Source

Brothers and sisters in Christ, are you as shocked as I am over these bizarre crimes? This is classic psychotic behavior. There’s no telling whether these people were on street drugs or did the Jab cause injury to the brain and then psychosis set in?

This reads like a horror story. If these crimes were caused by the Jab, I do wonder why some people manifest the behavior and others don’t. Or should I say they haven’t developed psychosis……Yet.
