Turned off ignition, guided vehicle to side of road, called 911

Bus footage shows 13-year-old Jeremy Wuitschick rushing down the aisle to the unconscious driver and grabbing the wheel Monday morning as other students yell: “Call 911!”
Wuitschick turned off the ignition and guided the bus safely onto the curb. Students started CPR on Callis until help arrived.

No hesitation, all action from the jump. Didn’t wait for anyone else to do anything. Natural born leader. Pulled the bus to the side, ducked down and hit the brakes, and saved his fellow kids. Then tried to wake the guy up, and when it was apparent something was really wrong, told another kid to hold the brake down, and bolted for a phone to call 911.
Led the whole scene all by himself. All the other kids just sat there paralyzed. They’re very lucky he was there.
Paramedics who rushed to Surprise Lake Middle School in Milton, Wash., said the Tacoma man suffered a heart attack.
Short says the 12 students on the bus and other drivers were offered counseling Thursday in light of the death.
The school bus driver died two days after he suffered a heart attack at the wheel.
Fife School District Deputy Superintendent Jeff Short says 43-year-old Ryan Callis died Wednesday evening. source
This had nothing to do with luck! It had everything to do with the LORD and with a brave young man who just did what needed to be done! His parents and family must be so proud of him. Seems like they raised him right!
Hallelujah!
Come Lord Jesus!
Wow. Absolutely a natural born leader!
Thank you to the young man and thank you Lord.
Amen!!!
“The lot is cast into the lap, but it’s every decision is from the LORD.” Prov. 16:33
Yep, no such thing as luck. Another possible vac-attack on the part of the 43 year old driver?
Yep!
What a contrast in today’s news. Two 13 year olds. One is sentenced to prison for a long time (I forget the amount) for the gruesome murder of a class mate.
The other 13 yr old saves his class mates by safely curbing the school bus when the driver had a heart attack (I’ll bet the driver got the jabs..only 43 yrs old. & Pierce Cnty Wa school districts prob jabbed everyone)
YES!! What a contrast indeed!! And I agree with you about driver – probably got the jab
I forgot to add that I used to drive a school bus in the Sea school district many moons ago. It was policy at the years’ beginning to pull over the bus with ur kids & instruct them on how to safely pull it over if the driver was incapacitated.
I would assign a couple of responsible appearing kids for that duty. Usually the oldest & least erratic. We also had drills to vacate the thing in an emergency. All this took place on a certain day in the school bus parking lot or load zone. In this case the “training” paid off. If ur interested some routes I had were from hell. It took prayer every day..thank u Lord Jesus but NEVER again! Those folks really earn their $.
Amen.
Apparently this happened more than 10 years ago. I understand that lad is at university now. Still an amazing tale of bravery on his part, but I’m afraid we can’t put this one down to the shots!

Serves me right for using a new “conservative” source. Check out the date they published this: Video: School Bus Driver Suffers Heart Attack, 13-Year-Old Does The Unthinkable And Saves The Rest Of The Kids’ Lives
