What Are the Noahide Laws and Why Christians Should Be Concerned

Recently many of us have been reading about something called the Noahide laws.  I had never heard of such a thing.  I watched an excellent broadcast from “aminutetomidnite” with Tony Koretz and Joanie Stahl.

Brethren – I was SHOCKED.

Many of my readers have asked if I would write on the Noahide Laws.

I will embed that broadcast at the end of this article, so that the reader can hear this excellent discussion on the Noahide laws and its startling implications for Christians.

Some History

First of all, let’s go to one of my favorite sources, gotquestions.org. I will be bolding certain parts of this and also adding commentary.

From gotquestions.org

Question: “What are the Noahide Laws, and are they biblical?”

Answer: The Noahide Laws are seven ancient laws that many people view as the basis of civilized society. They govern morality and represent the “bare minimum” of what God expects of humanity. They are called the “Noahide” laws because they are thought to have been given in their fullness to Noah after the flood. They are also called the Noachian laws, the Seven Laws of Noah, or the Seven Commands for Noah’s Sons (in Hebrew, Sheva Mitzvot B’nei Noach).

The idea of a formal set of laws given to all humanity (all the sons of Noah) comes from the Talmud and is therefore extra-biblical. Some scholars believe the Book of Jubilees contains a possible mention of the Noahide Laws. But, again, the Book of Jubilees is not inspired Scripture. However, the basic seven Noahide Laws are based in biblical principles.

Brethren, remember that the Talmud is a collection of ideas and thoughts penned by Scribes and Rabbis through the centuries.  These words are NOT inspired by the Holy Spirit as is the Canon of Scripture – The Holy Bible.

Here are the Noahide Laws:

1. Do not deny God (no idolatry).
2. Do not murder.
3. Do not steal.
4. Do not engage in sexual immorality.
5. Do not blaspheme.
6. Do not eat of a live animal (no eating flesh taken from an animal while it is still alive).
7. Establish courts and legal systems to ensure obedience of these laws.

According to Jewish tradition, the first six of these seven laws were given to Adam in the Garden of Eden (the sixth law, to not eat live animals, was extraneous, since Adam did not eat any animals). When God established His covenant with Noah, He added the seventh (and the sixth became applicable). Each of the seven Noahide Laws is seen as a summary of more detailed laws, about 211 total.

According to Judaism, a Gentile does not have to follow the Mosaic Law; however, all Gentiles are obliged to follow the Noahide Laws. The laws given to Noah’s children are universally binding. A non-Jew who abides by the Noahide Laws is considered a “righteous Gentile,” according to Judaism, and will earn a reward in the afterlife, if  his obedience is coupled with a knowledge that the laws come from God. A “righteous Gentile” might also be called a “Hasidic Gentile” or simply a “Noahide.”

Did you see the term “Hasidic Gentile?”  This goes back to why I write on Kabbalism so frequently – Hasidic Jews = Kabbalist Jews. And Kabbalism is Mystical, and we know that God in His Word warns against mysticism and witchcraft and the like.

“And he burned his sons as an offering in the Valley of the Son of Hinnom, and used fortune-telling and omens and sorcery, and dealt with mediums and with necromancers. He did much evil in the sight of the Lord, provoking him to anger” (2 Chronicles 43:6).

“There shall not be found among you anyone who burns his son or his daughter as an offering, anyone who practices divination or tells fortunes or interprets omens, or a sorcerer or a charmer or a medium or a necromancer or one who inquires of the dead, for whoever does these things is an abomination to the Lord. And because of these abominations the Lord your God is driving them out before you” (Deuteronomy 18:10-12)

Nowhere does the Bible record what laws God may have given Adam, other than the command to fill and subdue the earth and the prohibition against eating of the tree of knowledge of good and evil (Genesis 1:28; 2:17). After Noah and his family exited the ark, God gave the following three commands to him: “Be fruitful and increase in number and fill the earth” (Genesis 9:1); “You must not eat meat that has its lifeblood still in it” (verse 4); and “Whoever sheds human blood, / by humans shall their blood be shed; / for in the image of God / has God made mankind” (verse 6). After that, God repeats His command to “be fruitful and increase in number; multiply on the earth and increase upon it” (verse 7). Other than Noah being told not to eat raw meat, there is no hint of the traditional Noahide Laws in these passages.

The only other place in Scripture where a Noahide law might be mentioned is Acts 15:29. The context of this passage is the Jerusalem Council, which met to address the issue of the Gentiles’ place in the early church. Specifically, the question before the council was, “Must Gentiles be circumcised according to Mosaic Law in order to be saved?” (see Acts 15:1). The apostles in Jerusalem answered with a resounding “no.” We are not saved by keeping the Law (see Galatians 2:16). However, to promote peace within the early church, the council advised Gentile believers to avoid four things, including the eating of “blood” (Acts 15:29). None of the other three instructions correspond to any of the Noahide Laws.

As an ancient moral code, the Noahide Laws have been a major influence in many cultures. In fact, in 1991, both houses of Congress passed a bill, signed into law by President George H. W. Bush, that declared the Noahide Laws to be “the bedrock of society from the dawn of civilization” and the “ethical values and principles . . . upon which our great Nation was founded” (H.J.RES.104.ENR).

This threw me for a loop. Our government signed this into law? Can you discern that there is much more to this than meets the eye?

Are the Noahide Laws found in the Bible? No, not as a definitive list, and they are certainly not associated with either Noah or Adam. Are the Noahide Laws congruent with biblical teaching? The basic seven laws are congruent with Old Testament revelation. The Talmud calls for capital punishment for Gentiles who violate the Noahide Laws, and this has led to some debate as to whether or not Christians (who worship Jesus Christ) are guilty of violating the first Noahide law and therefore deserving of the death penalty. The modern consensus is that Trinitarianism is acceptable among Gentiles. In any case, it is important to note that we are not saved by rule-keeping; God requires faith in His Son (John 3:18).source

Brethren, I am not going to post any text from this EVIL website.

But what I WILL tell you is that the person whose name appears most on this website (he may even be the person who created this site) is none other than Rabbi Tovi Singer of Israel

Many months ago, I wrote an article about this man. When two journalists from Israel met me on Facebook, one of them told me that she wanted a friend of her’s to speak with me. His name was Tovi Singer.

I immediately researched this man and found that his life’s work was to find people like me (Ethnic Jews who believe in Yeshua) to come back to Judaism.  I heard that he could be ruthless.  I thanked my friend but told her that I did not want to speak with Rabbi Singer.

It does not surprise me in the least that Tovi Singer is a part of this Noahide EVIL . Pray for him. Just like Paul, when he was persecuting and killing Christians, he really thought that he was doing the will of God.  It wasn’t until he met Jesus on the road to Damascus that he realized that Jesus was indeed the long awaited Messiah.  Pray Tovi Singer will have a Damascus Road experience, and come to know our Savior Jesus Christ.

President George H.W. Bush

I hope that most of my readers understand that Bush Sr. was passionately involved with the “New Word Order” and hoped for it to come to fruition in his lifetime.   I am going to place a couple of website links and a short video for the reader to visit to understand how deeply Bush Sr. was involved with the NWO; also there is more information on the Noahide Laws.

Sanhedrin Calls on President Trump to Uphold Seven Noahide Laws

In an ancient and honored Jewish custom, the nascent Sanhedrin sent a letter to the new leader of the U.S., President Donald Trump, blessing him and calling on him to take the lead in restoring America and the world. The Sanhedrin also called on the new president to acknowledge and uphold the Seven Noahide laws.

The letter follows the custom of the Jewish people to bless foreign kings as seen in a verse in Jeremiah, Rabbi Dov Stein, secretary of the Sanhedrin, told Breaking Israel News.

And seek the peace of the city whither I have caused you to be carried away captive, and pray unto Hashem for it; for in the peace thereof shall ye have peace. Jeremiah 29:7

Sanhedrin member Rabbi Yoel Shwartz expanded on the decision, pointing out the importance of Trump’s role. “We turned to President Trump because America functions as a world leader today in many things,” he told Breaking Israel News. “As such, we addressed the new president, asking him to fix things that Barack Obama broke, to bring back family values and to lead the war against radical Islamic terror.

“He has already made moves in the proper direction, and we bless him that he will continue to bring back the values that made America great,” praised Rabbi Shwartz. “We hope he will advance the Noahide laws that are incumbent upon all men.”

The prayer sent by the Sanhedrin to Trump is different from that usually recited by Jews living under foreign rule, Rabbi Stein explained.

“There was a version of the prayer that was said by Jews living under foreign kings, to appease the king in hopes that he will not oppress the Jews under his rule,” said Rabbi Stein. The prayer is still said in synagogues around the world and begins with a verse from Psalms.

Who givest salvation unto kings, who rescuest David Thy servant from the hurtful sword. Psalms 144:10

As suggested by the verse, the prayer is motivated by fear that a monarch ruling over Jews in exile would turn tyrannical and oppressive to the Jews who, as strangers in a strange land, depended on the king’s good will. But the Sanhedrin blessed Trump in a different tradition of blessing foreign monarchs which existed in Biblical Israel.

“We blessed him as an independent nation blessing a close ally,” said Rabbi Stein.

The Sanhedrin’s letter begins, “We thank God that a suitable man was chosen to lead America, whose values in the past symbolized a belief in God, and educated its people in morals and family values.”

The Sanhedrin then calls on President Trump to follow the Seven Noahide Laws, given by God as a binding set of laws for all of humanity. The Sanhedrin described the laws as a framework that will benefit all mankind.

Mount Sinai to all of Man, to the fundamental principle that is common courtesy and common sense preceding everything,” the letter emphasizes. “It is important to return to the seven guidelines given to Noah and his offspring that protect all human and moral obligations.”

The Sanhedrin also urges the president to adhere to his campaign promise of renewed support of Israel, including moving the US embassy to Jerusalem, so that Israel can fulfill its Biblical role as a light unto the nations.

“As an honorable President, you are aware of the importance of Israel as an ally, especially a cultural ally, of the United States. The whole world anticipates the instilling of Bible values – God’s morality given on Mount Sinai for all the world.

“We must work together so that these values will be the inalienable property of all mankind,” the rabbinical body proposes.

The letter concludes with a final benediction for the world, but especially the two allies.

“It is our prayer to God that our way will successfully bring welfare and happiness to all mankind, and especially to Israel and the United States, and all of humanity will benefit from this.”  source

A discussion from aminutetomidnite.com with Tony Koretz and Joanie Stahl on the Noahide Laws.  Excellent and definitely worth your time to watch:

Brethren, the convergence of events happening in our world surely makes us aware that these are the last days.

I understand that the content of this article is certainly not uplifting or joyful; but we know that we belong to God and He is ALWAYS in control.  He loves us with an everlasting love, and He will never leave nor forsake us.

  1. Quite eye-opening. There are so many things that are done in the name of peace that are in actuality forwarding the desires of Satan. I don’t know that any sitting president would take the time to research into biblical truths. And we know Trump doesn’t read anything, so he is just another pawn in a great war for our souls. But, as we know, ALL things work for the good of God’s will, so I am not alarmed. I know who my Shepherd is.

Thanks for taking the time to do GREAT and EXCELLENT research into this, Geri. I look forward to your next post regarding the Rabbi Menachem Schneerson.
